Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS)

My wife recently had extensive surgery to remove a tumour on her adrenal gland. During the surgery it was necessary to remove one of her kidney's, her spleen, part of her pancreas and a small part of her stomach. After the surgery she developed an abscess which took ~ two and one half weeks to get rid of. Due to the surgery and the abscess she was unable to eat solid food for a couple of months.

During the latter stages of the abscess healing process she developed RLS, a condition she had suffered in the past on occasion. However, this time the RLS was with her seven days a week and twenty-four hours a day. It was driving her out of her mind and she often burst into tears in frustration. It went on for close to three weeks.

We tried the following:

„Ä magnesium citrate 500 mg/day
„Ä vitamin B6
„Ä iron
„Ä tonic water
„Ä bananas
„Ä massage therapy
„Ä various leg creams
„Ä drops designed to relieve the symptoms
„Ä Sinemet (normally used for the relief of Parkinson symptoms)
„Ä massage therapy
„Ä physiotherapy

Although all of the above probably helped but RLS would not go away.

One day I was in the local nutrition shop and the saleslady pointed out a product called Hyland's Restful Legs for the treatment of RLS. What the heck I thought, why not give it a try.

She tried it and within minutes her RLS quieted and shortly thereafter was gone completely. We could not believe it.

All of the things we were trying may have contributed but the Hyland's Restful Legs was the final fix

Now when she gets RLS 2 or 3 tablets takes it away.

It may not work for everybody but it sure worked for her.

Just thought that I would share this with you.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Is she continuing to need to take it? If so, the medicine is not curing her only palliating the symptoms. While I am certain this is a great relief to her, problems may arise from this.

Actual cure by homoeopathy doesn't need much redosing, and the patient will actually be free both of symptoms and the need to re-use the medicine. Cure means the root of the problem is gone, so the symptoms do not reoccur.

When you palliate the symptoms, what happens is that the underlying cause remains uncured, and it actually begins to apply pressure in new parts of the body. There is a possibility of new symptoms developing or of the old ones returning in greater force and not responding to the original treatment.

So it might be prudent to look at having a homoeopath find that deeper remedy that will cure whatever is causing it. You can already see how effective our medicines can be even when not applied in the traditional fashion. Imagine how much better it can get when done that way.
