I hope a homeopath can recommend the right remedies for me Page 2 of 2

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
What kind of alcohol? The kind at drug stores? I think it's called isopropol? There are different kinds.

Why not just dissolve the ignatia under the tongue?

Also, do you mean Ignatia Amara?

Do you mean Ignatia Amara?

You can use a spirit like brandy, whiskey, vodka. Wine does not have enough alcohol in it. It needs to be ethanol based alcohol.

There are proper instructions for taking medicines. Dissolving pillules under the tongue is the wrong way, and can cause serious aggravations.

You can go here to read about why we don't use dry doses.

Ignatia amara is the full name of the remedy yes.

David, my son has been taking 1m, 4 pellets, under the tongue every 30-60 days of Baryta Carbonica for 7 months. Is it better to take this with liquid?
If yes, should I follow the same instructions that you gave me for the ignatia?

angelfatima last decade
You can see from that article that using dry pillules is both inefficient and can cause problems for the patient. Your homoeopath needs to read the Organon of Medicine and follow the instructions there regarding dosage.

I am not supervising your son's case. I do not feel comfortable giving advice to continue with a remedy or to stop a remedy. Is your homoeopath still managing the case?

Ok. I took the remedy today. Should I also throw away the 5 to 1 solution?

angelfatima last decade
No you keep the dosing bottle. That is what you will make your repeat doses from. It 'remembers' the number of times you hit the bottle. This is important for continued use of the medicine. It is only the cup of water you placed the drop in that you discard. Remember to wash the cup and spoon in hot water without detergent, and keep it aside for future doses.

I know I have to keep the dosing bottle, but do I also throw the it's contents away, and make a new dose each jtime it's repeated?

angelfatima last decade
No no, the liquid in the bottle is the remedy. It is the water that remembers, not the glass of the bottle.

I am sorry I had no idea that this was a point of confusion for you.

The dosing bottle is the actual bottle, the dropper, and the liquid inside. All of it would be reused.

Dear angelfatima,

What David meant was, you made a remedy bottle from the remedy bottle you purchased from pharmacy and the bottle you made contains the ratio of 5:1 (5 parts water and one part alcohol). Now use the remedy bottle you made, you will take your doses from the bottle you made by pouring one drop from the remedy bottle you made into one cup of water, take a teaspoon from the cup of water after stirring, throw the rest of cup (Water) away but remember to keep the REMEDY BOTTLE you made. David will guide you further about how to take next doses from the remedy bottle you made. Don't make a cup of 5:1 ratio. I thought you might by making a cup alcohol and water instead you will only use water in cup to take the dose.

Hope you understand.

Hi David,

It's been 5 days since I took the remedy and I slept through the night 2 days and the other 3 I woke up once or twice. As for the blood pressure I went to CVS pharmacy to check it,but now I question it's reliability. I took it twice in a row and the fist reading was 133 over 79 and the second it was 127 over 70.

How much better overall is your sleep then?

What about your other symptoms, like the sensation in the hip, the general anxiety about your health, your sweet craving, your loss of sexual desire?

How do you feel in yourself, emotionally, mentally - any different?

It is a good idea to list those symptoms (and any others I might have overlooked, and next to each one write Better, Worse, Same or New symptom. If better or worse write a percentage to represent how much.

David, everything else is the same. Last night, maybe I was anxious
about receiving an assignment for sub teaching, or maybe it was learning about a positive change in my insurance practice.
I've been trying to build it now for 6 months and nothing. The co. who has been training me is going to drop me in 2 weeks and I will have to go broker.
I had to take some benadryl to fall asleep last night. I slept till 5 am, which is good.

The sensation in my hip has changed (new symptom) in the last 2 or 3 weeks. You know I have been trying other remedies that didn't work. Usually happens when I sit down. It's not so much as bone rubbing bone but a slight discomfort.

I have been working on some positive affirmations to control my sweet cravings and lose weight, so my cravings are not as bad as they used to be. I am primarily an emotional eater so when I am feeling bad, that's when I crave them the most.

There has been no change (same) in everything else. Nothing has gotten worse. I will go to a different machine today to test my blood pressure today at let you know what it says. I will let you know how I sleep tonight.

When should I take the remedy again?

angelfatima last decade
Interesting. It appears a few physicals have improved. This could be either an issue with potency or dosage, and of course there is always the possibility the remedy is only partially correct.

Ok first step is to repet the remedy. Hit the bottle 4 times before placing the drop in the water this time.

David, I forgot to mention that I accidentally place 2 drops instead of one in the water. How would that make a difference, if any?

I have had insomnia where I am am unable to fall asleep for the last 2 weeks. I tried to take the Ignata 200c again a week ago. Could this be a side effect of the remedy, because I have never had this happen to me before?

Not sure how I missed your posts - were you posting on another thread?

I will revisit your case. The Ignatia clearly is not acting particularly well for you.
