200c potency

Is a 200c potency very strong -I'm used to 6c or LM doses because I'm sensitive. How would I react to taking a 200c remedy - would it be safe, OK, would I aggravate. Any help appreciated.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Only the person who takes the remedy can experience aggravation or amelioration. No homeopath can predict that for a patient. The remedies like snake remedies, spider remedies, nosode remedies are unsafe in low potency. They should never be taken in less than 30 C potency.

What about nux vom? What would that do, and woujld it help to lose weight?
kohler 8 years ago
Without any case or symptoms to look at, nobody here can give you that kind of advice. What would Nux-vom do? Who knows? It might cure you, it might palliate your symptoms, it suppress your symptoms, it might do nothing, it might produce new symptoms. A homoeopath who took your case carefully might be able to give some kind of prognosis.

We do not have remedies to do specific things. You don't take a remedy to 'lose weight', you take a remedy on the basis of the total symptom picture. If the remedy is matched correctly to you, then it will solve all the major problems in your life. Nux-vomica will only do this, if you are a Nux-vomica person, have a Nux-vomica disease.

i have stomach problems but I'm curious about the strength of a 200c remedy. What would be the worst scenario?
kohler 8 years ago
Worst case scenario with any incorrectly prescribed medicine is that it will create new symptoms which become permanent. Those symptoms can be more serious than the ones you already have.

But that is an extreme surely. I've seen people say take one dose of nux 6c if you're having stomach issues. Could you start of low and work your way up - say 6 then 30 then upwards to see if you are OK with it

If you want to take the risk that is up to you. Is that worth the risk? Why not get professional advice instead and avoid harming yourself?

The wrong remedy, when repeated, will almost definitely produce side effects. Many people cannot get rid of those side effects until the correct medicine is prescribed. If they are self prescribing then they are stuck with it. What would happen to you is not predicatable - you might be ok, or you might not.

You should learn to respect the power of homoeopathy, which is the single most powerful, deep acting medical system in the world. We see many people here on the forum complaining of damage to their health from badly-prescribed homoeopathic medicines. I have seen it very often over the last 20 years of clinical practice. It can be undone in most (but not all) cases, but only under the care of a trained/experienced homoeopath.

I don't think I would take the high dose.

But I have used nux 6c before if I've had a stomach issue and it's been OK
