To Joe de Livera: Parkinson's Disease

Nikkie said to follow your line of treatment for my grandfather. In an earlier post you said to take Gelsemium 200c and Arnica 1M in wet dose daily. I will give the details again below about my grandfather. I would be grateful if you could verify if the remedies are correct.

In addition to Parkinson’s he has a wart underneath the eye. About 5 mm diameter, smooth and whitish. The doctor said it was not malignant but it should be removed. Is there any remedy for this?

Details about the condition:
He has had Parkinson’s for 5-6 years. He is 80 years old. In addition to Parkinson's, he has had high BP for 20 years and cholesterol for 30 years, now maintained at normal levels by allopathic medicines. Regarding Parkinson's, his symptons are tremors in jaw and left hand and some stiffness in fingers making difficult fine movements like picking up objects and buttoning shirts. Also there is muscle rigidity in the left leg, making it difficult to initiate movement but once he starts moving, there are no mobility problems. After that he can move and do activities fairly normally, like driving the car for short distances. He has physiotherapy 5-6 days a week. He is taking allopathic medicines for Parkinson's in the following dosages each day:

2x syndopa 110 1/2 tablet

3x parkin 2mg 1/2 tablet

3x ropark 0.5 mg 1/2 tablet

2x bcrip 2.5 mg 1/2 tablet

Should he leave any time intervals daily between taking the allopathic and homeopathic medicines?

Thank you in advance.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Your grandfather's case is complicated to say the least as he presents:

Parkinson's
Hypertension
Cholesterol

Muscle 'rigidity'
Any more problems?

I have treated a few cases of Parkinson's with the 2 remedies you have listed --Gelsemium 200c and Arnica 1M. I cannot however request you to give them to him without his other drugs as his case is obviously far gone for any Homeopathic assistance. Homeopathic remedies work at Nano levels and it is very likely that the drugs he is taking today will over ride their action now.

If you had contacted me 10 years ago, it is very likely that your grandad would be as normal as I am at age 83 without any ailment or ache or pain in my body. I drive myself to office daily as I have done for the last 60+ years.

Let us try to help him with the following remedies:

Arnica 30c to filter his blood of the Cholesterol and Triglycerides.
Nat Mur 200 to reduce his Blood Pressure.
Gelsemium 200c to help his Parkinson's.

Leave about half hour between his drugs and the remedies above which should all be given twice daily in the Wet dose as per instructions below:

The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:

Order the remedy in the Liquid pack in Alcohol, also referred to as Liquid Dilution in a bottle preferably with a dropper arrangement.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard at least 6 times before you sip a capfull of the bottle or a large teaspoonful which is the dose.
Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this enhances the effect of the remedy on the user.

Thank you very much for your advice. We will try the remedies you have listed. Regarding the 'rigidity' of muscle, this is a feeling he described in his leg and the doctor said it was related to the Parkinson's. Also is any remedy available for the wart underneath the eye?

Thank you again.

The wart you refer to is the least of the problems which your grandfather faces.

It is best not to interfere with it as it is not malignant and we have more pressing problems to contend with at his age.

My grandfather has been taking the medicines you advised for over a month now and there is no change in his condition. Of course I know that there will not be any improvement so soon but could you please tell me if the same medicines should be continued?

Thank you.

Bala_Krishna last decade
If you have given him
Arnica 30
Nat Mur 200
Gels 200

for a whole month and his Parkinsons has not responded, it is very likely that they cannot help him. They should however help him otherwise as per my post of February 2.

Please list the remedies you are giving your grandad today.

Thank you for your reply. Sorry it took me so long to reply. My grandfather is in India and I am in UK and I could not contact him for a few days. He has been taking the same medicines you listed for a month. Is it certain that there is no treatment that will help him? Even minor improvements?

Thank you.

You can instruct your grandfather to change the potency of the remedies as follows:

Arnica 1M
Gelsemium 1M

Both remedies to be taken in the Wet dose twice daily and made as follows:

Just to clarify, should my grandfather now only take Arnica and Gelsemium and stop taking Natrum Mur? Also, for how long should these remedies be taken?

Thank you.

Bala_Krishna last decade
He does not need the Nat Mur at this stage.

The Arnica should increase the blood flow to the brain which hopefully should help his mental status and the Gelsemium should help his Parkinsons tremors.

It is essential that you report his response to me weekly or more often especially in the first weeks into this therapy.

I cannot predict for how long the patient will have to take the remedies and this is the reason why I requested that you report his response often.

My grandfather has been taking the following remedies that you advised, since 2nd May:

Arnica 1M
Gelsemium 1M

He reports that after one week of taking the medicines there is no noticeable change. Should he continue with these medicine?

Thanks.

You live in England and I presume that you have come across the saying:
'Rome was not built in a day'

Your day has used my therapy for just ONE WEEK and you cannot expect him to be CURED.

It is up to him and to you to decide whether or not he should continue with these remedies.

Joe De Livera last decade
I am very sorry. I should have made my meaning clearer. You misunderstood me.
I only posted because you said to report weekly when taking the medicines. I was just ascertaining if my grandfather should continue with the remedies as normal. I have had homeopathic treatments several times myself and OF COURSE I do not expect he should be cured in one week. My grandfather is prepared to continue homeopathic treatment for as long as needed.

Please let me know if I should continue to report back each week. Thank you.

It would be in the patient's interest to report weekly but this is not essential as he has obviously suffered from Pankinsons for years and it is likely that he is also taking the standard L Dopa drugs for it today. The problem with these powerful drugs is that they virtually sap the life out of the patient and I have known some patients who virtually dehydrated to a painful end but this was about 25 years ago.

I hope that the modern drugs are not as powerful and are more tolerated by the patient.
