Cats problems...

Hello all,

I have 2 cats with slight problems. One is a 13 year old female with chronic cystitis. I don't want to take her to the vets again for more antibiotics, so would like to find a more "natural" remedy.
The other one is a 3 year old female who has just been diagnosed with asthma. Same, don't want to keep her on constant medication. She is at the moment on a very very low dose of .... ? the equivalebt odf Prednisone (sp?) which she usually reacts quite badly to.

Both are fed natural food with added herbs and cod liver oil. In the morning they do get some biscuits though as the vet recommended it to keep their teeth healthy.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Probably best to use low potency Cantharis say 6x twice a day for 10/14 days but stop if condition gets rapidly better. Then wait until it happens again before using it once more.

3 yr old -- more difficult . If it is poss an allergy and gets worse in damp weather then use
Natrum Sul 1m ONE single dose and wait 2 weeks to judge result.

Thank you Walkin for taking the time to reply.
Will try those as soon as I receive them.

The asthma doesn't seem to get worse in any particular circumstance. It is very hot here at the moment (UK) and she seems absolutely fine, and has not had a cough for the last few days. She also has an eye "allergy" (chlymedia) which I treat with Euphrasia as and when is needed. She responds well to it..

I forgot to ask if I also take the 3 yr old of her current medication while giving her the Natrum?

Well, I am impressed!! My old lady with the cystitis is too!! It cleared up in a couple of days and I have now switched her to Causticum as recommended in the McLeod book (which I have now by my bedside!!)

Nothing to report about the asthma... I ordered the wrong pills....So got to wait for the others to arrive now....

Thanks a lot.
