The ABC Homeopathy Forum
stress intolerance + eczema
My partner is described as stress intolerant and in the last two years when stressed gets eczema round her mouth, eyelids, chin, fingers and hands. The skin becomes very dry and itchy. When itched the condition becomes worse. It mostly occurs on the hands and she describes it as a burning sensation to the face. She hates scarves particularly wool. The skin does crack and the symptoms are worse in humid conditions but dry hot air are a relief (when she went to Egypt). She also suffers hayfever which results in itching eyes and nose running. It is set off with Pollen but Cat and dog hair can aggravate the symptom.
In addition, she can have bouts of panic attacks which is set off with stress which makes it difficult for her to breathe and results in anxiety, fright, helplessness and increased movement such as pacing.
In case this is relevant, she is allergic to Citrus, chilli, hot spices, garlic, strawberries and tomato. The latter two kick off her allergy immediately.
Aresenicum has been suggested and Rhus Tox.
Can anyone recommend these two or any other?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Those who don't get eczema etc suffer stress in other ways, such as higher blood pressure, sleeplessness, etc. Learning how to not be stressed is the real 'cure'.
Regardless of the homeopathic remedy, your friend needs to learn equanimity to the sources of her stress.
Vipassna meditation is a great way of achieving this. see www.dharma.org
