Alcohol Problem

Hi. Does anyone know what's the percentage of alcohol used to make medicating potencies? Also anyone use any specific brand/type of alcohol i.e ethanol? Any help would be much appreciated.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
yes, it's ethanol.
my liquid remedies are in 20% alcohol.
But I read in "Radical healing"
by Rudolph Bellantine MD, that mother tinctures are prepared in 87% alcohol! (but he also wrote about distilled water as good for you and I know it isn't. So you'd better check it out).

I'm not sure now if that was what you were asking about. Alcohol is added to liquid remedies to keep bacteria/fungi from growing- you may add whiskey, brandy, vodka (whatever; it's ethanol with some taste!)how much depends on the weather and for how long you plan to keep them.
