HELP PLEASE - ILL for 3 months since taking homeopathic remedy for Herpes SimplexHi,
I'd be really grateful for any advice.
I was prescribed Deseret Biologicals Herpes Simplex Series Therapy by a Functional Medicine Practitioner.
I have NEVER had a cold sore and had no idea I had this virus, but I get frequent sore throats with low grade fevers and a blood test showed that I tested positive for the herpes simplex 1 virus and my levels were high.
I began the homeopathic treatment at the beginning of August - taking 1 dose every 3 days. In total I took the full 10 doses.
I had a reaction after the first dose - low grade fever, fatigue, sore throat and cold like symptoms. I was told to expect that my symptoms would worsen between the 2nd and 4th dose, which they did, but the symptoms continued past this.
The practitioner who prescribed the remedy advised me to continue with the treatment and take all 10 doses, even though the reaction was going on for far longer than expected. So, I carried on and I hoped I would improve as soon as I had stopped the treatment.
HOWEVER, I didnt! It is now 2 months since I stopped taking the homeopathic remedy, and there has been NO improvement. :( I continue to have a low grade fever EVERY DAY, extreme fatigue/exhaustion and a sore throat (with what looks like blisters on the sides of my throat) that comes and goes. At present, it is back again!
My practitioner has prescribed herbal supplements, but there has been no sign of improvement. She also has suggested that I need to repeat the homeopathic treatment, but I am too scared to do this in case I get even worse.
I would really appreciate any advice from homeopaths about how to deal with this.
I am too ill to work or even leave the house and I am at a loss as to what to do.
Thank you in advance for your help.

One dose means
If the medicine is in pills form 2 pills. Don't touch pills with hand. Use cap of bottle to take pills.
If the medicine is in liquid dilution form, 2 drops in some 20 ml water. Sip up slowly.
Please follow homeo restrictions like no coffee, no raw onion/garlic, no strong perfumes, don't eat or drink anything within 30 minutes before or after taking medicine.

and is using homeopathic remedies without having
Second, when a remedy starts to act- good or bad you are
to stop taking the remedy and let it clear you. The remedy
starts up your own vital force which clears things out.
You had a reaction similar to what you went in for- regardless
of herpes simplex or not. the remedy should have been
stopped at the reaction which was making an old symptom
come up. Instead you took more and then that was an
overdose which was making the reaction keep going.
But now since you have not had the remedy in two months
it should no longer be in your system. So you are back
at square one. ( example I give is parents giving spongia for
baby croup- the first dose was just enough to clear the
croup with no aggravation) then they gave more and the
whole thing returned. Then they gave no more and healing
reaction set back in after a few hours. They were following
directions on a bottle which said take 3 tabs every 4 hours.
Homeopathy does not work that way.
Please follow Kadwa here and everything will be monitored
in a correct way.
