Hi Reva,

I'll get the meds you mentioned in a day's time.

Vikas, I have answered your questions below -

I don't have any fears as such but mainly apprehensions in terms of my future and how successfull I can be considering I feel hard done by when I feel I try very hard to do stuff (especially mental work) which others might find easy to do (eg learning new things, keeping focus on a specific topic for more than 5-10 mins).

I first detected these issues creeping in around 10 odd years ago when I was overwhelmed with the size of my science books and later on the engineering books. From being a very good student (1 90%er) I suddenly stooped in my performance in school and just managed to pass with a lot of effort. It was always a last minute adrenaline push that made me study overnight to just pass, even though I used to try and push myself everyday to study but the focus wouldn't last. The fears as of today are still similar, that in my work life primarily I will continue to lag my peers even though I put in an honest effort and a hard one at that.

No abnormal sweating on my body. No physical problems as such. Reward for my hard work makes me happy which honestly is rare.

I had a clinical test conducted 8 years ago to confirm I have Hypotyroidism. The TSH levels were found to be high 10ish. I have been on a high dose of Eltroxin, 100mg or 125 mcg for most of these years (Was 200 mcg at one point).

There is no expectation as such but if I get free from these symptoms I would want to continue being free of them since I just feel overwhelmed sometimes.

Do I feel weepy? Occasionaly.

4pm - 8pm is sometimes tiring in the sense I want to do a lot of things or try to relax but feel I have very little energy or occasionaly I have better bouts of energy and feel good. So there is no consistent state here.

My appetite has generally been moderate. 2 chapatis at one meal max.
I'm generally constipated. I don't have urges to urinate all the time.

Please let me know if you have further questions. Thanks.

Lets zoom in on the overwhelming part , you were a good student and you slide down gradually due to the load of the studies , surely you must have gone through a lot of emotions in that period , can you recall that period .

Hi,

I still see the slide in academic performance as the low point of my life. I definitely remember it like yesterday. Procrastination accompanied me all the time and I was always wanting to study but couldn't. The same continued in my 4 years of college. That gutted, hopelessness feeling still horrifies me when I think about it. It wasn't the lack of will but I think it was a case of my mind not being able to overcome 'something'. The focus just wasn't there any longer. I would sit through a page in the book for an hour and realize I haven't understood anything.

My childhood was fairly good. No major setbacks as such. I've been very happy with my life till I was 15.

I have a Lyco 30 bottle of SBL already but I will get the German variety since you insist.

Thanks!

depressed111 last decade
Ok , plz get Lycopodium of Germanm brand .

Plz also buy a bottle of spring water/river water of Qua/Tata Himalayan Brand

vikas_grower last decade
I have Lyco 30 from Reckeweg and Himalaya spring water handy. Please let me know the procedure.

Thanks.

depressed111 last decade
1) Please note that from the spring water bottle take out 50 ml of water and rinse your mouth .

2) Make sure you have not eaten anything for about a hour before you take the medicine .

3) Now pour one to two drops only from the Lyco 30 to the remaining water in the water bottle .

4) Close the cap of the water bottle , gently turn the bottle upside down so that drops mix uniformly in the water in the bottle .

5) Wait for 5 minutes , shake the water bottle gently and take one capful of water in your mouth and slowly gulp it .

6)Wait for 15 minutes , take another capful from the bottle and slowly gulp it

7)Wait for another 15 minutes take one more capful

Now throw the water bottle away .

No more medication keep the Lyco 30 in safe a dark place

Wait for fifteen days and then report , no medicine is to be taken in those 15 days , dont drink coffee in these 15 days .

I repeat no Lyco 30 is to be taken again .

In case of any confusion , please ask . I repeat in case of any confusion please ask .

vikas_grower last decade
Please note as described above medicine is taken for one day only as per dosing method given above there is no repetition and no dosing for the next fifteen days .

vikas_grower last decade
I'll take the dose today as you prescribed.

Question, is coffee the only thing not to have or should I also not have tea?

Thanks.

depressed111 last decade
Tea can be taken but dont take or a day or two and also dont use deodrants , perfumes , aftershave for a few days .

vikas_grower last decade
Hi Vikas,

I took the dose as you suggested last week and wanted to give you an update of the results so far.

As soon as I took the dose, I had hiccups for about 10 mins and I felt that the body temperature rose slightly as if the BP had increased. This effect though lasted for about 5-10 mins again.

From the effect point of view, I have slept better in the last 7 days. There have still been instances of me getting up around 2am checking my watch but I've managed to go back to sleep thereafter which wasn't the case earlier.

From the perspective of my concentration getting better, there has been no effect at all. I fail to keep the attention span going for more than a few minutes and need to take frequent breaks in the middle of work to freshen up.

I often describe the feeling in my brain as if the left frontal part of the brain is empty/dead/. That feeling has persisted even after taking Lyco.

I will continue to monitor for another week and revert.

Suggestions, analysis and feedback are most welcome.

Thanks!

depressed111 last decade
Yes lets wait for at least a week .

1)When you say you have to get up to Freshen up , then what exactly do you mean an what freshens you up

2)The feeling in head has been described by you as heaviness before and now as dead/empty , can you put more light on that , what triggers the feeling and what makes it less .

3) Any other discomfort you can think of

4) After Lyco how is general feeling on getting up

5)Apart from fear of future any other fears

vikas_grower last decade
Hi,

Freshening up may include getting up from my chair and going to get a glass of water/tea or just wanting to go away from work for a minute.

The heaviness/emptiness feeling generally arives when I encounter something (work task for example) that I may deem as boring/uninteresting/difficult which has to be completed nonetheless. Even though I try to focus and shake off the feeling, I feel my brain makes it more difficult for me and I find myself yawning a lot at such occasions. It is here again that stepping away for a minute and coming back helps slightly. Even after the 'difficult' activity is over, I feel the heaviness thinking that what am I going to do when I encounter a similar situation again. This feeling therefore lasts for 2-3 hours sometimes and fades away later until another occurrence of a challenging situation.

During such times, I feel most depressed as I feel inferior to others. Others very often do not find such tasks difficult whereas I find it an uphill task. It's almost like I need to put in 10 times the effort to do a mental task that others find easy/moderately challenging.

The above symptom is the main symptom and I very often feel that if my ability to grasp/retain/absorb stuff was 80% of what others have I maybe performing a lot better than others. It takes a lot of willpower sometimes to motivate yourself to 'keep going' and not belting down knowing that such demanding situations (in work and in life) will come time and again. Where it gets very frustrating is that others/seniors at work may perceive my inability to understand things easily as a lack of effort and this sometimes hurt a lot. I don't feel comfortable speaking/opening up to others about this 'situation' anyways (not even to my family).

The general feeling in getting up post Lyco is more or less similar.

Other fears/apprehensions are mainly around my career. I've struggled to get through my 4 years of engineering and though I want to pursue an MBA I feel that I may not be able to sustain the pressures and rigours of the course. I just have haunting memories my last 2 years in school and the 4 years in college where I struggled to pass and get through the exams even though I tried to grasp concepts and put in the hours. I somehow don't want to accept the current situation of being an average performer at whatever I do.

Thanks.

You are definitely a bright and intelligent person as eveident from the style and content of your replies .

My suggestion would be to wait and see if

1) Improvement progresses further

or

2)Improvement ( say in sleep ) stops but holds

or

3)Relapse to the original state

Hi Vikas,

It's been 2 weeks+ now since I have taken Lyco but unfortunately the effect has abated. I've again gone back to waking up multiple times in the night to check on whether it is time to getup. I in fact feel that the anxiety level in general has increased. This anxiety is related to my job performance, being successful at what i do etc. In hindsight, over the last 10 days I've seen myself to be more stressed with no new stimuli.

Eagerly waiting for your reply and observation of the situation.

Thanks.

Yes exactly in the same way , one to two drops of Picric Acid in 250 ml water bottle , shake the bottle , three capfuls spaced by 15 minutes and then we wait for two weeks . Dont take the medicine again in these two weeks .

Plz report in case some effect is observed .

Dont drink coffee or use deodrants , perfumes

Hi Vikas,

My condition stays the same. I see no changes with the medicine at all.

Thanks.

You had told that your anxiety level had increased after Lyco , is that back to original level before.
