5 year old blocked tear duct

Hello..My 5 year old has a blocked tear duct since birth---both her eyes. Her eyes tear all the time. Basically the tears get accumulated in her eyes and eventually flow out of her eyes. People will usually ask---was she crying? since her eyes are always moist. Thank God She has had no pain ever. Nor any discharge. Just the watering. I had heard it sometimes may resolve by 5 yaers, but it is still there. Also it now affects her school. She says she cannot see clearly sometimes because of the accumulated tears, then she will wipe them away and then can see. I do not want to do the probing procedure. Is there a homeopathy medicine that can help her? Please advice. Regards, Mom

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Can you please give the following information in respect of your daughter.

1.whether she prefers warm surroundings ie whether she likes to be covered or she prefers cold surroundings and open air.

2.whether she has a mild disposition or an irritable disposition. How is her attitude towards her friends and relatives?

3.What other physical problems, if any does she have.

4.At what time she feels better and at what time does she feel worse like in the morning, evening, late night etc.

5.What do you think is the causative factor for starting her problems.

6.How is her thirst for cold drinks, hot drinks and water?

7.How is the bowel movement? Normal, constipated or loose.

8.Whether the child prefers to move around or prefers to keep still.

Hello Mr Kadwa.

Here are the details for my daughter
1.whether she prefers warm surroundings ie whether she likes to be covered or she prefers cold surroundings and open air.
--She prefers cold surroundings. she prefers not to wear her jacket when everyone is feeling cold. She does take her blanket while sleeping, but always wakes up sweating-head, neck, chest, back.

2.whether she has a mild disposition or an irritable disposition. How is her attitude towards her friends and relatives?
---She is quite a mix. On one hand, she is very thoughtful, empathetic, very sensible and mature for her age. But on the other hand, she is very sensitive (you have to tell her sorry for the slightest things), gets very upset to share her parent's love with her sibling (since her sibling arrived a year ago) though she loves her with her whole heart-her issue is with us. She is very competitive-wants to be first in everything, wants to be the leader not follower. She is an artist-loves and is good in painting and drawing. Is a very fast learner-intelligent. She hates being told -even by her parents-she wants to be the boss every time:). She does not like sleeping, wants to go-go-go. I think the main reason for her irritability is that she does not sleep enough, so is grumpy and now the sibling thing

3.What other physical problems, if any does she have.
She seems to have tummy issues-not sure. She was never fond of eating. She hates to eat. Everytime she sits to eat, it is a struggle. You have to tell her for each bite. After a few bites, she will say her tummy hurts-usually around or above the belly button—maybe gas or wanting to poop? She does say may times that she gets yucky burp-sometimes it is the food she has just eaten taste and sometimes like vomit—in her words. I have asked her if anything (solid/liquid) comes in her mouth and she said NO it does not.

4.At what time she feels better and at what time does she feel worse like in the morning, evening, late night etc.
--I would say she is her best in the evenings/night

5.What do you think is the causative factor for starting her problems.
--This particular problem---blocked tear duct has been since her birth.

6.How is her thirst for cold drinks, hot drinks and water?
--She loves to drink cold things. Eat ice. Even her cereal she loves to have with cold milk, or drink cold milk. Hates warm milk. She does not drink enough water.

7.How is the bowel movement? Normal, constipated or loose.
--- I would say between normal and constipated. She does have regular bowel movements-every day or every other day. But many times, her starting will always be hard. I think because of lack of drinking enough water

8.Whether the child prefers to move around or prefers to keep still.
--She always wants to be doing something. She does keep still sometimes like when she doing drawing/painting. But I would say more of moving around. As I mentioned before, she does not like sleeping-she would always ask-why did God make night? How many hours till morning? Why do I have to sleep?etc.

Hope I have given enough information.

Awaiting your response.
Thanks for opting to help

few more things
The area under her eyes is usally dark-i would think ue to less sleep. Recently it had also become reddish-bluish. She had stomach flu sometime back and did not eat for a week- we thought it maybe because of that. Since she is eating a bit better now, the reddish/blueish has gone. her cheeks and lips are dry most of the tim-again due to not drinking enough water.

She keeps biting her tongue unusally often.
She also seems to be getting hurt very often. Like walking in the kitchen and she will hurt her toe by the chair..can't think of more examples now...but we always have this feeling that she gets hurt a lot--small hurts and bumps-thank God.

Please give her three doses of Phosphorus 200 as follows and see how that affects in next 15 days (only 3 doses in 15 days).

day 1 morning
1st dose

day 1 evening
2nd dose

day 2 morning
3rd dose

One dose means
If the medicine is in pills form 2 pills. Don't touch pills with hand. Use cap of bottle to take pills.
If the medicine is in liquid dilution form, 2 drops in some 20 ml water. Sip up slowly.

Please follow homeo restrictions like no coffee, no raw onion/garlic, no strong perfumes, don't eat or drink anything within 30 minutes before or after taking medicine.

Hello Mr Kadwa

First of all Thank you very much for your advise!
I had a few Qs
1—The local stores only carry 30c pills. The place which carries 200c needs doctor's prescription. Should I order from internet the 200c or can I use the 30c in some way?
2--- I have heard it is better to put the pills in water and take a sip, instead of taking the pills directly. Is that ok to do that(put 4-5 pills in some water and then one sip)
3-- I don't mean to offend or pester, but could you please let me know why you chose Phosphorus. I have been using homeopathy for the family and understand on a very small level. I like to know what and why.

Please go though the analysis at the following link.

https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B5N7l0eUVKjWVkhTakZZbGJseXc/....

You may give Phosphorus 30 in the morning and evening for 3 days and see how that affects in 15 days. There is no role of water dose here.

Thank you very much Mr KAdwa for sharing with me your analysis. It is so much clearer now.
I will try the Phoshorus 30c as you mentioned and will let you know after 2 weeks.

Are we saying that Phosphorus maybe her constitutional medicine and hence migh fix the tear duct issue? I couldn't see that Phosphorus directly mentions tear duct.

I alwyas thought that she is a Pulsatilla. It is intersting to see how close the 2 are on the matrix too. I wonder what are the tie-breakers between the two.

Is this something that a common person like me can have access to? To do this analysis and get this matrix?

Mr Kadwa, i also wnated to ask--npt on the tear duct issue---but i wanted to know --would you be ok to help me find my constitutional remedy? I will totally understand if not. I know it involves a lot of tme and effort right. But i thought i would at leat ask.

Thanks again. And i will update you in 2 weeks. I am hoping her tear uct will open up without any problems and hopefully any other mental/physical issues will also get solved.

Please let me know if i should watch for any aggravation signs....or sometimes they say 'Proving' issues...right?

Tahnks for your time Mr Kadwa!

Regards
Mom

Aggravations are not inevitable after homeopathic remedy. So you need not worry. You can see that even after doing a detailed analysis we are not 100% certain about the remedy and we have to take a subjective decision.

Prof Vithoulkas offers a free online software. You can google it. One has to install other software on their systems. It is not possible to generate the Analysis Sheet without a software.

Please pick up a questionnaire and give your details so that i can tell you your remedy.

Please copy the Questionnaire from the following thread
http://www.abchomeopathy.com/forum2.php/188925/
and post all the questions here duly answered. On that basis your remedy may be worked out.

The answers should be given in a way that we are able to understand you as a person.

Mr Kadwa

Thank you very much for the reference. I will look it up.

About the Q, if it is ok i would prfer to send it to an email address tahn posting it on the forum, since it involves a lot of personal details. If that is ok with you, could you please send me an email on my address (in my prfile). I can then send the completed Q there.

Regards
