Overthinking - Adhd - Anxiety - Fear

Hello - I just recently found this website, it's great! I've always had problems with over thinking. I know everyone over thinks at times but mine is out of control. When I get on a subject I like I'll literally be obsessed about it for weeks at a time and will literally do nothing but think on that subject. My mind is always rushing into the 'what ifs' and I'm never truly in the moment. EX: Cold calling - I'll sit for weeks at a time just imagining how the conversation could go and I can't force myself to just pickup the phone.
My entire family has depression, anxiety, adhd, bi-polar etc. I used to be bad with depression but I've been working hard with personal growth and have overcome all the negative thoughts I used to always have - now my only problem is I can't slow down my mind! It's literally going non stop.
When I got diagnosed with adhd 2 years ago they put me on ritalin and I can honestly say it was the BEST 2 weeks of my life. When someone was having a conversation with me I was 100% focused on it and I actually had fun talking to them. usually I'm in my own little world and could care less about what they're saying.. I actually enjoyed spending time with the family, I'm constantly on the computer because I can keep my mind going non stop by researching different tangents I get on for weeks at a time, 20 hours a day. I truly believe we can control our own minds and I should be able to get over this whole over thinking/being impatient but I think I need a kick start. One final note - I get VERY irritable at small things like noises etc. I just click and can't control myself. When I was on Ritalin literally nothing annoyed me at all and it also brought back memories I haven't remembered in forever - basically it just slowed my brain down so I could actually enjoy life lol.
I'm 22 - 5 ft 10 inch and would love any advice I can get from you guys :)
Thanks so much for your time!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Forgot to mention - I got off Ritalin because it COMPLETELY messed me up after a few days of taking it. It made me feel great at first but then it started spiking my blood pressure and I couldn't sleep. Whenever it wore off I was literally in a complete fog. I couldn't even tell people my name. My brain was foggy for 4 months after stopping Ritalin, that's when I started researching and finding numerous stories the same as mine.

Patient ID: Sex:M Age:21 WEIGHT- 160 lbs

Please answer the following questions in a descriptive manner after careful analysis and recollection of previous experiences and happenings.

1. Describe your main suffering? Over thinking, irritability over small things, I get obsessed on topics example-I can research two weeks plus on topics that interest me. That's all I think about 24/7 and I never am happy doing anything but being on the computer because it keeps my brain stimulated through video games/internet researching. I'm always thinking about what 'could' happen and I'll focus on that for days and won't take action on something I need to do because I'm thinking of the most negative things that could happen.

2. What other physical sufferings do you have in your body? Nothing really physical - The past 5 years I've had mucus in my throat year round that never goes away, even if I cough it up all day. Always have had an irritation around my bladder for a year now. It comes and goes but really acts up when I eat certain food (higher in sugar I think and apples) Went to the doctors and he said my pee blood work was fine and showed no infection. Should have gone to a homeopath ;)

3. What mental sufferings / feelings do you have associated with your physical sufferings? -None, just aggravating when I exercise/cold calling

4. What exactly do you feel when you are at your worst?
Very Anxious and I get a little depressed because I'm trying so hard to overcome over thinking. I truly believe it's just mental and I need to learn to control my mind, but I haven't been able to yet which is frustrating.

5. When did it all start? Can you connect it to any past event or disease? I've always had this problems.

6. Which time of the day you are worst? 24/7

7. What are the things which aggravate your suffering and which are those which ameliorate the same?
Over thinking is 24/7 but If I'm focusing on something and someone starts talking I instantly get mad and can't control my emotions. I freak out, I also over complicate everything and my mind is NON stop going. I can't relax it and shut it off.

8. Do your think your sufferings have relation to any external stimuli (like, change of place) or any internal biological changes in the body, like, menses (in females)? No

9. When do you feel better, during hot weather or cold weather, humid or dry weather? None

10. Describe your general mental set up? Are you Moody, Arrogant, Mild, Agreeable Changeable, Nervous, Suspicious, Easily offended, Quiet, Arguing, Irritating, Lazy etc.
- Moody, Nervous, Suspicious, Easily Offended, Argue a lot, always over thinking, I can be in a GREAT mood and instantly switch for no reason at all. (My family has a lot of Bi-Polar/depression/anxiety/adhd). I over complicate everything which is a big deal also - I can read a simple step by step instruction and over complicate the entire process by over thinking and over complicating it.

- How do you feel before or during a thunderstorm?
A little more relaxed and in the moment

- Do you like being consoled during your tough times?
- Are you sensitive to external stimuli like smell, noise, light etc?
I don't like talking about my emotions. Very sensitive to noise- instantly sets me off

- Do you have any typical habit or gesture like nail biting, causeless
weeping, talking to one self etc? -Not really - If I'm not on the computer I get bored so I bug people and like to set them off because it gives me something to do.

- How do you feel about your friends, family, your children and especially your husband / wife?
Love them all to death - Except I have a very hard time talking about my emotions so I never can tell them that. When I was on Ritalin I didn't have a problem at all telling them all.

11. What are your fears and do you dream of any situation repeatedly?
Fears of the unknown, anytime I have to do something new I always over think telling myself I can't do it, I don't know how, what if I mess up etc. No I rarely dream.

12. What do you crave for in food items and what are your aversions?
1) Big on Candy/Pop
2) Nothing I really Dislike

13. How is your thirst: Less, Normal or Excessive?
Normal

14. How if your hunger: Less, Normal or Excessive?
Normal- I do over eat at dinner though

15. Is there any kind of food which your body can’t stand?
- Not that I can think of, if I drink a lot of milk I think the mucus in my throat is more excess, maybe I need to cut Dairy completely?

16. Is your sweat normal or less or more? Where does it sweat more: Head, Trunk or Limbs? Normal

17. How is your bowel movement and stool type? Normal

18. How well do you sleep? Do you have a particular posture of sleeping? I have to sleep laying on my right side and I sleep on my stomach. If I sleep on my left side I can't think very good (sounds weird)but It's been like that ever since I can remember.

19. Do you think you are able to satisfy your sexual desires in general? Yes

20. How do you think you are different from others, if at all? -I had a really girly voice when I was younger so I was always called gay. It's not nearly as high pitched now but it's still not REALLY deep so I'm really self conscious over that.

21. What medications have been taken earlier by you to treat the diseases and do you have any particular symptom surfacing after the medication?
Ritalin - It helped me a TON. I actually loved spending time with my family, I could remember things I hadn't in forever, I liked talking to people and actually enjoyed the conversations, I could tell people my true feelings about them without overthinking them, I wasn't constantly over thinking so I could actually enjoy the moement and I wasn't irritable at all. No noises set me off or anything. Right after it wore off I couldn't even tell people my name. I kept taking it though because it helped so much when I was on it, after two weeks I finally quit because it was completely messing me up and I was in a brain fog for 4 months - had a hard time thinking at all and I was really depressed. Never again, but it helped a TON when it worked.

22. What major diseases are running in your family?
-Bi-Polar - Depression - Adhd - Anxiety - Ocd-

23. Describe, how do you look like? Describe your overall appearance
Brown hair, blue eyes, lean, 5 ft 10 in

Thanks so much for your time!! (Do you guys have anything that works like Ritalin? Increases Dopamine levels/Serotonin? Overall whatever Ritalin increases is what I need..) thanks!

Will analyze and come back.

The details you give about your personality, etc are invaluable. Therefire you could edit your last post and add things that you missed.

Edited a little bit. Thanks so much for your time Zady - Very excited about your reply! Also - if you think I need to cut gluten/dairy etc I'm willing to do whatever it takes. I was thinking about starting the Gaps diet to see if that helps at all?
Thanks for your time once again!

Hi

Please elaborate on this:

1. The past 5 years I've had mucus in my throat year round that never goes away, even if I cough it up all day.

2. Always have had an irritation around my bladder for a year now. It comes and goes but really acts up when I eat certain food (higher in sugar I think and apples).

1) I always have mucus in my throat and it's year round. it started when I was 16 and it's never gone away. I tried a few allergy pills the doctors pre scribed me but it didn't help at all. I did a lot of research and read about Apple Cider Vinegar - I started taking 2 tbsp in the morning every morning and within 1 1/2 weeks it completely cleared up. I ran out and out went on vacation and within a week the mucus was back (after running out of acv)

2) For 2-4 months I had to pee a lot (even though I didn't really have to go that bad) there was a burning sensation in penis. Then that pretty much went away except on occasion when I drank 2 much pop. It started driving me nuts for a few months in my bladder area so I finally went to the doctor because I wanted to make sure it was nothing serious. I figured I just had a UTI - I was drinking a ton of cranberry juice and it never went away. The doctor took a pee sample and it showed a little protein in my pee but no blood or anything serious. He checked for any stds and infections but it didn't show I had anything. He basically told me I was imagining it. That's only been a year though so I don't think that would really have anything to do with the core problem ? (over thinking, adhd etc)
Thanks for getting back so quickly!

Hi

Please elaborate on the below points:

By active in movements I mean whether you find yourself physically hurried, or is is just limited to overactive in thoughts? Please answer.

Are you sympathetic to people (relatives/friends/family, etc)?

Do you take naps sometimes?

TB is a short-form of Tuberculosis. So on Mom and Dad's side, who had Tuberculosis or Cancre? (grandfather, great grandfather, maternal grandfather, etc, etc). Please give all details.

Are you fastidious? Do you care about the order of things?

How do you react to consolation?

-I am physically hurried - I run everywhere I go, my wife makes me go on walks and it literally drives me NUTS. I hate going slow.

Are you sympathetic to people (relatives/friends/family, etc)?
-No, which sounds bad, I have a really big heart and I do everything for everyone else but it's like I don't have any emotions? I haven't cried since I was like 8, dunno if that helps.
Do you take naps sometimes?
-Never

TB is a short-form of Tuberculosis. So on Mom and Dad's side, who had Tuberculosis or Cancre? (grandfather, great grandfather, maternal grandfather, etc, etc). Please give all details.
-Don't think anyone has had TB. My dads mom died of Cancre, my moms grandma/grandpa died of Cancre

Are you fastidious? Do you care about the order of things?
-No

How do you react to consolation?
-Not good, I get really defensive and very irritable. And it doesn't help me at all. I usually have to just cool off on my own.
Thanks for taking the time to go through this!

Thanks for the quick reply ! - Can I take it now or do I need to wait until morning - and how long until I can eat food after I take this?
Thanks

loveshomeopaths last decade
Hi

You can take a medicine anytime as long as you are keeping a gap of 30-40 minutes with food/drinks/toothbrushing.

However I personally think the best time is early morning. Delay brushing teeth by an hour or more, take medicine first.

This medicine is for all your problems, atleast for most of them. Lets hope it works.
