Question about herbal not sure if anyone can help

Just was remembering a while back a friend of mine had recommended the herb horsetail to me....I decided I would take some after a little research...it has a lot of silica in it so it was said to be helpful in my skin specifically cellulite areas....After a few days of taking this my skin broke out in itchy fluid filled bumps all over my entire body and regular dr could not find the cause....now in my journey into homeopathic medicine I have read lots about the skin expelling toxins this way when a remedy is working correct...is this true any thoughts? At the time I believed I was allergic to this herb an immediately discontinued use and within days the eruptions were gone completely

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
If you are taking a herb or homeopathic remedy and it
is overdosed, too high a potency or simply wrong for your condition, there is
nothing for it to do and it will manifest symptoms that
you never had before.

As far as homeopathy goes, the skin is usually the first
thing that is suppressed and imbalance goes
deeper after suppression and so the skin symptoms are the
last things to show up and leave after other deeper layers
of problems are cured. You can google 'Herings Law of
Cure' which homeopaths use to gauge if the medicine is
working in the right direction.
