Please Read: Seeking Proof of Efficacy, Undissolvable Kidney Stones and Urinary StrictureHello All,
I am a firm believer in the miracles of homeopathy. I am starting school this fall at the Florida Academy of Classical Homeopathy. However, as much as I believe and as many great stories as I have given my boyfriend, from personal accounts and others healings, he refuses to believe until he sees proof. He has a urinary stricture and 'undissolvable' kidney stones. He had surgery to remove a portion of the affected kidney at the tender age of five due to a stricture in the ureter. Now, the stricture has returned and his Dr. is suggesting a stint be placed to scar the ureter wall into staying open, at that time they will laser? dissolve the stones. He agrees that surgery is not 100% and that he has a 33% chance of reccurence and a 25% cahnce after that and still some chance of recurrence. Surgery did not fix his problem the first time, and I don't think it ever will. I have spoken with a few homeopaths whom all agree it sounds as though homeopathy is a great avenue to take in this situation. However, he will not seek treatment until he can 'see' proof that these stones are dissolvable with homeopathic treatment. He ultimately wants to see before and after x-ray proof. He believes that anything that will dissolve his stones will dissolve his bones and anything that will release the stricture will relax all of his muscles. He feels that homeopathy is just water, it is placebo effect that is felt. He does believe in herbs but I feel that homeopathy is way more effective than herbs, especially in his case. I have seen miraculous clearings happen within 2 days of a single dose of a single remedy. I have also taken remedies that had no effect on me, so I feel that if the placebo effect was on the intention to heal, why do some work and some not??? Because they were not the appropriate remedy for me. He is only willing to try one homeopathic and only after proof has been established, visual proof. He quite reminds me of a sulpher, with the constant bragging of his superior intelligence but I have alot more yet to learn about homeopathy before being able to say that for sure. I welcome any information, help, places where to find information such as to help prove to him the efficacy of homeopathic medicines.
If you can suggest any treatments based on the following symptoms, please let me know as well. I would assume at this point it would be considered a chronic case. He had originally developed the stricture when he was 2-3 yrs. old, his dr's called it failure to thrive until he was 5, in school, and had blood in his urine. His growth was stunted, he was about the size of a 2-3 yr. old with dark circles and sunken eyes when he was 5 yrs. old. The surgery removed 1/3 of his kidney and reattached the tube. It has been 20 years since the surgery and as of Dec. 2004, the blood and decreased urinary output has returned. X-rays reveal a stricture and kidney stones. The right kidney (affected, since childhood) in the x-ray, looks like a bunch of swollen grapes. Blood has been urinated a few times but not regularly. Pain in kidney affects ability to work or do extra curricular activity often. Stitching pain in kidney, no burning, less out than in but not a weak flow. Water retention on occasion. No urinary pain, only pain in kidney. His major concern is stones, not the stricture, he feels that stricture only stops the stones from being passed but not a major concern. Post-coitus or anything physical seems to stress his kidney. No sediment, ever, no blood since dec.
His hair is falling out, high stress level, entreprenuer, cannot work for others, highly critical, lack of compassion for others, if it does not affect him it is no big deal, people are stupid, he is superior, I don't have any intelligence because I haven't made it anywhere in life, I shouldn't follow my dream (homeopathy) it isn't the financially wise choice according to him, I am too liberal. I should pursue accounting, because I am good with numbers, even if I hate it. And I should listen to him, because he is always right.
Please keep posting!!!

does he get constipated,
does he prefer cold food, have cold feet
sweat only on forehead,
any feeling of a tight band round the head.
These would be confirmatory signs for the use of Sarsaparilla.
If that is right suggest you use both low and high.
twice daily for three weeks using the potency Sars 3x
Every Sunday omit the
2 - 3x and give one ONLY tablet of Sars 1m.
wait at the end of 3 weeks for a period of two weeks to check any results.

Thank you for the post and the encouragement on the vocation. I really need the support! Sorry I have not responded. I have no internet and can only access at the library and at work. I have a little one at home and with work and school there is little time available to spend with my son, nonetheless on the internet. I greatly appreciate your timely response.
I was wondering about your occupation. If you wouldn't mind sharing with me your knowledge I would love to pick your brain.
I will look over my repertory and materia medica for the sars. remedy and see if I recognize more symptoms in this picture.
He has constipation after acidophilus and diahrrea after cheese. No foggy vision, likes warm food, cooked meals, sweats profusely under arms in summer, hates humidity, no tight feeling around head. Does not care for animals, unless they choose him, cares solely for the cats that he has (like 20!!!) "Just a query - do you like to look after lame dogs?" -is that meant for me or him?
Thank you again, I would love to know more about how you got into homeopathy, how long you've been in practice, any cases you could share, any recommended reads, etc., anything you'd like to share with me!
