Sleeplessness in 5 y.o. boy w/ADHD
Hello!I'm currently receiving help for myself through another post in this forum, but I need help for my son and his sleeplessness. He is 5 yrs old, with serious ADHD. He doesn't just have trouble with focus and impulsiveness. If that were the case, I would use homeopathy to help him. Unfortunately, his impulsiveness is so severe at this point that he places himself in dangerous situations. So, at the moment, he is taking Rx meds. They work wonderfully. However, he has just as much trouble falling asleep now as he did before starting the meds.
I tried Calms Forte and that had little to no effect. I tried Chamomile tea but he ended up wetting the bed during the night. I've been trying Coffea cruda but that doesn't seem to be working, either. He becomes cranky and mean and I'm not sure if that's from lack of sleep coupled with his meds wearing off or if it's from the Coffea cruda itself. The other night, I gave him Boiron's Coffea cruda 5 pellets dissolved in his mouth and not only did it take him hours to fall asleep, but he woke up about two hours later laughing, saying that he couldn't stop. Last night I gave him the same thing, and I woke up at about 2:00 a.m. and found him awake.
If anyone can help me help my son, I would really appreciate it. Thank you!

Cypreoedium 3X worked. He becomes very tired, enough so that he can calm down. He still fights sleep until I lay down with him and read bedtime stories, but I can deal with that. He's falling asleep around 9:30 pm now. It's still late, but I suppose all I can do now is try to tweak his bedtime routine to try to get him into bed for stories earlier.
Will this continue, or will I have to do another round of Cyprepedium 3X in the future if he starts having trouble getting sleepy again?

take Kreosote 200/ every day night after food and continue with cypripedium.

Thank you. Is that 200C or 200X? Also, he will be returning to school, and won't be with me for lunch and snacks. Should I give him Kreosotum after breakfast and dinner?

If i could come in here for the sake of child. Giving high potency like 200 on daily basis could lead to aggravations. Weekly is ok!

It is 200C. Give just one dose.
Dissolve 5 pills in 3 tablespoons and give it to him to drink. Some aggravations expected as Kreosote is very powerful. Daily dose would have been a disaster.

Alright, will pick up Kreosotum 200C on Monday. Have been continuing Cypripedium 3X - still working. Except last night - I think I misjudged how sleepy he was when I left the bedroom and he came downstairs 20 min. later. My fault.

It is Tuesday, and I finally made it to Whole Foods Market, and discovered that they do not carry Kreosotum. As a matter of fact, they have decreased their homeopathic remedies inventory by getting rid of anything that didn't 'sell well enough.'
I just checked the ABCHomeopathy remedies store and Boiron sells Kreosotum 200C as a Unit Dose and 80 pellets. Which should I buy?

The Cyprepedium is working wonderfully. He has been taking one every night. Cyprepedium, shower, snack + cartoon in bedroom, brush teeth, lights out and lays down with me for a few stories. By the middle of story #3, he's asleep. And he doesn't pass out, he drifts off. It's wonderful.

Fine, after 5 days give cypripedium 30 in the same manner. Collect Impatiens a Bach flower remedy as pills and give it 3 pills twice daily.

In regards to his sleeplessness, he is much better than he was. Sometimes it takes some cajoling before he will take Cyprepedium 3X, but not long after he does I can see the tiredness beginning in him. He fights it, of course. I greatly prefer the effects of Cyprepedium over the effects of children's night time allergy 'medicine.' Cyprepedium allows him to drift off, while the other stuff knocks him out. It's more work on my part, but I believe this is the healthier way to go. His psychiatrist wants me to bring the bottle of Cyprepedium with me for my son's next med mgmt appt. She wants to put a note of it in his file.

Can you give a list of all current symptoms? Also mention if a particular symptom improved after taking the remedy - Cypripedium.

Taking ADHD medication in AM, works wonderfully. When meds wear off (at around 5 pm):
Extreme hyperactivity and impulsiveness to the point of being dangerous to himself and others (grabbing, throwing, punching, jumping off of things, etc). - improved after Cypripedium (able to sit in bed and color/draw to relax).
Quick to anger; verbally and physically violent when angry.
When violent outbursts subside, tends to remain angry, like he's smoldering.
Hyperverbalizes - improved after Cypripedium.
Whithout Cypripedium, hyperactivity subsides for a while, then increases as the hour grows later.
With Cypripedium, obviously tired (drooping eyelids, slightly slurred speech), but fights sleep for hours.
I don't, at the moment, have money to order Cypripedium 30X or Bach's Impatiens. A single dose of Cypripedium 3X is no longer enough to help him sleep. Should I give two pellets?

Carcinosin 30
Dissolve 2 drops in 8oz disposable cup filled with mineral/spring water, stir a few times using a disposable spoon. Give him 'one tablespoon' from this ONCE only.
Just once, no repetition.
1 tablespoon = 2 teaspoons (approx)
Update after 5 days.
