Please help: Acne scarring

This is my first post, I need help.
6 months ago I had an outbreak of really disfiguring cystic acne. I got it under control almost immediately with fish oil, zinc, chromium, facial washes, etc.
These days I do not get too many pimples and if I get the beginnings of a cyst I can deal with it quickly.

However, the cysts left extremely disfiguring scars across my cheek that have not faded much in 6 months. I am not worried about pits and crags left by scars, just about the colouring.

As I am a guy, I am reluctant to use make up to cover these scars but I am going to give it a try.
I know nothing about make up, so could someone please help me out with some kind of thing that can help me?

Any advice would be appreciated.Thanks
