severe myopia and lattice degeneration in the retina

hello!

im 25 years old guy. i have severe myopia -16D since my childhood. Now im diagnosed with lattice degeneration in my eyes. Im seeing flashes of light and floaters in my vision and the vision of my right eye has been dropped and it is getting darker and blurred. Doctors say that there is nothing to stop the lattice degeneration and it will lead me to blindness. Im at high risk of retinal detachment.
I just want to ask u ppl for help. if there is any medicine in homeopathy that can save my eyesight?

please im very much worried..please please help me.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
i forgot to tell u that lattice degeneration means that the retina is getting thinner and holes are appearing on the peripheral retina.these holes can lead me to retinal detachment. please help

This is very urgent - do everything in your power to have a personal visit to homeopath (of course experienced!)

Do dr BATES palming-cover your closed eyes with cupped palms-total darknes means healthy relaxed retina.even few hrs/a day- you can't overdo it.

Astra2012 last decade
do u think that it is curable in homeopathy and my retina would be fine after some homeopathy treatment?

koolguy last decade
Yes, I think it is curable in homeopathy - but online is too much time-consuming for urgent cases-see a good profesional. (I had only one case with detaching retina- it was ok after phos. and gels.+ 1 hr of palming/day--but you may need other remedies).

And do PALMING -it is very simple but the best way for healing retina. You may "see" it in the begining (even though your eyes are closed and covered by palms)-but hopefully it will get all black=healthy retina in time.

but doctors say that when a retina is detached..it cant grow to reattach itself?

also tell me can severe myopia be cured in homeopathy? can the darker vision be cured to normal vision?

Homeopathy is capable of helping you.It may stop as well as reverse the destructive processes in your eyes. Please consult a professional homeopath personally.Palming of the eyes for a few hours eveyday will also help in the healing as Astra has suggested.

Rajiv-it is great that you know palming! it is so simple that people do not believe it might be strong enough to overturn doctor's grim verdicts (dr's verdicts are always grim-however they are usually WRONG!)

Yes, retina can reattach itself- I KNOW that from exp.
If your dr is too pesimistic go to another one as you will need him to monitor your progress. And meet face to face with profesional homeopath.
use only natural ways and you will be cured (and really do palming!)

Dear Astra,

Thanks and kind regards.I really believe in the power of palming as can be seen from the increasing popularity of Reiki worldwide.I believe most of the energy healing systems are based on the same principle viz. the power of the body or the vital force to heal itself.Palming coupled with homeopathy can make short work of most of the diseases pertaining to eyes and nervous strain.

That's why we know that there are no incurable diseases!!!

koolguy: you have myopia since birth - but Meir Schneider was legally blind and now he sees quite well (has unresticted driver's licence in Calif.)-he didn't know homeopathy -just BATES exercises and did a lot of palming: USE ALL THE NATURAL WAYS TO HEAL YOUR EYES
(and avoid pessimistic people, esp. doctors! )

Koolguy,

How are you doing now? I hope things have improved for you.

I've also been diagnosed with lattice degeneration with an atrophic hole in my right eye. I'm getting homeopathic help from an experience homeopath but see flashes and floaters. I'm looking for additional ways to help myself.

Now that I read about palming, I'll look into it right away. Every one, please recommend if there are other things I can do. Thanks.

About 2 years ago I was diagnosed with lattice degeneration and peripheral vitreous detachment which are getting progressively worse and I am only in my early 30's. Please help, doctors told me there is nothing that can cure or prevent further retinal damage, but I don't believe them, I'm sure there are natural remedies out there and that our body have the ability to heal itself. Please share with any info that can help me, I would like to get more information regarding homeopathy remedies and palming, and how to use it. Thank you and God bless!

Loren,

Sorry to hear about your situation, but don't lose hope. Following are my learnings so far,
1. Conventional medicine offers a procedure to barricade the areas of retinal detachments with laser. Not sure if the same procedure will work for Vitreous detachment. Consult a retinal/vitreous specialists. I know a few good ones in the bay area.
2. I met Meir Schneider and learned palmin and other exercises from him. Palming in particular helps my eyes relax a lot and I will recommend it to any one. Get more information about his 'natural vision improvement kit' at self-healing dot org.
3. I'm also getting help from a seasoned homeopath - John Melnychuk in Palo Alto. He has certainly helped me from overall mind-body view point but we haven't found a solution for lattice degeneration and my sub-clinical retinal detachment. I may undergo surgery soon. I'll continue homeopathy any way.
4. I'm taking vegetable juice on a daily basis.
5. I've stopped taking any caffeine and chocolate because I found my symptoms got bad with them.

I hope this helps. Feel free to reply with your contact information if you want to talk more about it. Good luck and continue to remain positive. There are viable options outside of conventional medicine.

Hi Majeed,

Thanks so much for your suggestions. I'm trying to stay positive and hoping that I'll find the cure or at least slow down the progression. Conventional medicine can not offer anything except the surgery which would be the last resort for me. I'm taking antioxidants, blueberry juice and fish oil which is very good for retina, I will also try acupuncture and Chinese medicine, something has to work. What I learned is (and non of the doctors told me that)that I should avoid heavy lifting and you're right, sweets, and also stress. Those things are making it worse, they increase my floaters.

Thanks again for your information, I hope everything will go well for you.

I would also be glad if someone can suggest specific homeopathic remedies that helped from the personal experience.

Hi Loren,

There is a remedy listed on this forum - Physostigma. I haven't tried it. My homeopath gave me Hemamilas 12c (not sure if that's the right spelling).

However, it's important to note that the homeopathic remedies are different for different people even if they are for the same illness. Hence, I recommend that you see a homeopath instead of trying to self-prescribe given the stakes.

BTW, I came across a homeopathic opthalmalogist Dr. Edward Kondrot based in Phoenix, Arizona. You can google his name and find his site. I may try getting his help as well.

Good luck.

Thanks Majeed,

I will try Dr. Kondrot, it is amazing that alternative ophtalmology doctors exist, it has given me a hope.

I've read about palming in this forum, but I don't completely understand how to apply it, is it just covering the eyes with both palms, for how long it may be done, can I cover my eyes with dark fabric instead?

Thanks again,
Loren

Koolguy,

If you are still interested, get into the Bates method big time. At 16 Diopters you're going to have to make major life style changes to get RELAXED enough to see a totally black visual field when you palm. The eyes will heal as you RELAX. Try T'ai Chi, the Yang short form, to also help you relax. One can change the diopters of myopia when they truly RELAX. RELAXING is a very active process inside one's mind. It is not falling asleep. If it where, after sleeping we all would see clearly. That is not the case for most people who are nearsighted. RELAX!

I'm 54 now and 4 years ago I suffered 2 retinal detachments in the right eye with gel leaking out and another in my left eye.
Dr.Simple in Mobile,Al. is a Retinal expert and was able to laser each eye and reattach my retinas. I also have lattice degeneration.
As a last resort to prevent blindess they have a Buckle procedure that incorporates a rubber ring around the whites of the eye, compressing it and forcing the retina back in place. They then seal it with an ice prode device.

I am 35 years old and have high myopia(17 dioptres in my left eye and 21 in my right). I,m really afraid of going blind. Have got 6 year old son and would always like to really be there for him. It´s the first time I resorted to the internet to find info about myopia and am quite surprised. All my life I have just been going to doctors who tell me to check the 'inside' of my eyes regularly. A few years ago I had a retinal tear in my left eye which was corrected with ' a bubble of gas' and laser and just 2 days ago I got laser in my right eye and will probably also get more in my left. I never even heard of 'lattice degeneration' but am sure I´ve got it.I sort of rushed into writing this message but intend to do more research and get back to you.
I really wish everyone the best. Sofia

I haven´t had the oportunity to talk to my doctor, but from what I have researched, for high myopia the only answer traditional medicine provides for high myopic adults besides preventive laser surgery is 'scleral buckling' or scleroplasty. It´s idication probably depends on the case...Homeopathy seems to have several remedies, I´m still investigating...Can anyone provide input based on personal experiences?

Wishing everyone the best, Sofia.
