GERD/Acid reflux in 7 weels old baby
Hi List, I am the father of a pretty little babygirl who is around 10 lbs and 19-20' long now, but there is something that is bothering me after 3 weeks of her birth. She started developing symptoms of restlessness during sleep and was not a sound sleeper. She would not sleep very soundly and during her sleep she used to make sounds as if her tummy is hurting by curling her legs and making distressed faces. We tried to give her herbal gripe water but unfortunately didn't work. During this time we tried different stuff like gas relief medication, pedialite solution etc. As the time passed by the symptoms started getting worst and she started the following symptoms1.Crying and kicking during nursing/feeding and refuse to feed.
2.choking,coughing,wet burps,and throwing up curdled milk and fresh milk (immediately after feed).
3.Unable to sleep.
My wife breast feed her with a supplement of formula about 4 ounces in 24 hrs.
We went to the doctor and he prescribed her with Zantac which we have started administering but it doesn't help much. I am worried now because my baby doesn't sleep well and doesn't feed properly. I need some help from the forum.

Please answer ALL these questions and I may be able to select a curative remedy. Leave the questions in place:
1. What is the age, weight & height of child

ans: Has become cranky and touchy.

ans:

ans: yellow soft stool, bowel movement was once/24 hrs but after starting zantac its once/36 hrs

ans: does not want to feed and rejects nipples.feeds for 5 min on breast milk and then refuses to take more.
8. Is the child teething
ans.No
9. How is the childs sweat (smell, where, little, a lot etc.)
ans: Not so prominent

Give her two doses of Colocynth 30c, 12 hrs apart and report back.
One dose is made by dissolving one pill of the remedy (or one drop, if you have liquid remedy) in half a glass of cooled, boiled water. Stir it and take one tea spoon from it.

I will wait for the medicine to arrive and update the thread after 24 hrs of administering the medicine.I already ordered the medicine.
NB: I was guessing it was symptoms of GERD but the prescription seems like a colic remedy.

Hi, I need some clarification in terms of covincing my wife about the remedy you prescribed about the symptoms of my baby.

The totality of symptoms is indicative of Col.
If you think Nat-P is more fitting there is no harm in trying that.

I do not think that you are aware that I was the first Homeopath to discover that Nat Phos 6x to which you referred is by far more effective to help stabilize Baby GERD and if you visit my website www.joedelivera.com you will read of the many mothers whose babies I have helped to CURE of their ailment with my therapy aka Joepathy.
I shall copy my default therapy for Baby GERD which I have prescribed to hundreds of babies which I hope will help your baby too.
The remedy that has proved to be very effective for Baby GERD is:
Nat Phos 6x dose 1 tablet dissolved in milk given immediately after a feed.
You will not however exceed 6 tablets in 24 hours.
You may like to try to reduce the quantity of milk you give for each feed to enable baby's digestion to stabilize. You will however feed more often. It is essential that you burp baby immediately after each feed.
You will avoid eating all food that can cause any distress to baby.You must know that they are passed on to baby through your breast milk.
It is best not to vaccinate Baby till s/he is over a year old as the after effects in some cases can add to the problems with GERD.
Do not give Baby any solid food till s/he is over 8 months of age.
You (the mother) will take Nat Phos 6x dose 2 tablets after each of 3 meals daily. The idea is that your milk will pass the effect to baby. You may like to know that Nat Phos 6x will help to reduce your weight by 1kg per week very safely.
Report progress in 24 hours and as often as you wish on this thread.
If you discover that baby does not respond to the Nat Phos 6x alone and this has occurred in a few cases, you will contact me again and I shall then prescribe another remedy to reinforce the action of Nat Phos 6x.

Hi fitness, sorry i couldnt find your real name anywhere anyhow I am not trying to challange your knowledge, every person who is helping a patient to get better is respectable to me but since I am near to my baby and can clearly analyse her condition therefore it is my humble suggestion that it seems more like a silent reflux.
Now to Dr Joe, I thank you for your kind advice/remedy and yes I am fully aware that you are the person who pioneered this remedy in terms of acid reflux/GERD. I found out that by reading your forums in ABC homeopathy.You are doing a true service for humanity.

Hi joe ! I am here in Baltimore MD and I ordered it today not on fast delivery service. Once it's received and start administering it, will update the thread ASAP. As I already mentioned my baby is on Zantac now but Is it ok to stop Zantac abruptly once I start Nat Phos ?

Hi Joe , just wanted to say you that my medicine is still on the way,but I am concerned about two things
1.My medicine take a week to reach here so if you want to

Hi I got this medicine Nat Phos 6x (Natrum Phosphoricum)in a bottle from Hylands .it is in small granules/pellets but Mr de livera says its not the right medicine that I ordered because its a biochemical salt.I searched the whole foods and can't find the right potency i.e 6x.I am clueless where to get this medicine from?

You purchased the homeopathic pills. The Cell salts are near
the remedies, they are tablets and if you google Vitacost,
and put Nat phos 6x cell salt in the search box the HYLANDS
bottle will appear.
Look at that and then call up Whole Foods and ask them if
they carry the Hylands CELL Salts.

Hello, my baby is almost 3 months old and still having reflux she is going to see the GI tomorrow for some more answers why she is losing weight, I would like to know if Nat Phos would make her lose weight as I read one of your post to a mom to take Nap Phos along with something else don't remember what but you said that Nap Phos would help this mom to lose weight , so I wounder if it would interfere in the baby's weight causing them to lose weight, ty
