Please finish with Bell and if the sores don't get relieved in a few days, you can give Borax for a day to set in the reaction.

Most of the times such canker sores get relieved by themselves with time. He has just recovered from fever. Its likely that, now that he is back in health, his vital forces can get rid of the canker sores by themselves.
In case they still persist after some days, Borax can help as it covers mouth ulcers well. However, his generals have to match...which I am not sure of.
Bell covers gum boils.
