Aconitum - Dosage
My constitutional medicine in terms of Hypertension, is Aconitum Napellus. The dosage of this tincture, according to the 'Materia Medica' is ONE DROP DOSES (poisonous)I would appreciate if any one could advice me on this. Should I take ONE DROP only? If so how many doses per day and how many days to be taken?
Thank you,
Sam

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Aconitum is a first aid remedy acting best within 24-36 hrs from the start of disease or trauma.
I do not think it might be a constitutional remedy (which is deep- and long acting).
Some remedies are poisonous-and aren't usually taken as mother tinctures.
Frankly I think you should read a bit about homeopathy before trying to treat yourself.

Thank you Astra for your quick answer.
My constitutional remedy was suggested by The Homeopathy sofeware. And also 'The Prescriber' by John Jenry Clarks MD - Aconitum for Hypertension. The picture of this medication fits (50%)of my symptoms.
If it is, as you suggested, a first aid remedy, can't be taken morethan once? Can you advise me on the dosage, howmany drops a dose? Is it ONE DROP ONLY?.
Thank you in advance for your advice.

I never had any need to repeat aconitum-and there is rarely such a need imo-as the condition usually changes picture and either another, deeper remedy is needed (e.g. sulphur) or none at all as the person is cured from his/her ACUTE disease (as I said I don't think it may be constitutional).
usually acon 30c is strong enough.- for acute--- if you take a const. rem. you may gradually go higher depending on sensitivity.

Drop of what? Do you have liquid remedy? What potency?

Thank you again Astra. I have liquid 30C. My next Constitutional medicine in line was 'Suplhur'. I prefer taking Sulphur. But Acon is more specific for Hypertension. My complaint is Hypertention. I tryed several meds, like Arnica, Cal Fl, Frr. phos, Kal phos, Allium,Phospho, (One of the meds shown in Homeopathy Sofeware) Am on Phos now. My BP is a little bit of high 140/90, trying to brink it down to normal. Also on allopathic med.
I take those meds one by one and messure their effects. Each meds has it own effects but not enough to satisfy. Need patience, they work for sure.

Sam-I do not think aconite is a specific for elevated BP. Clarke said that or "homeopath"? Weird.
Are you taking allopathic drugs-they can antidote hom. rem.
did you try other natural ways to decrease bp, like e.g. garlic? Sometimes just monitoring your bp few times/day is enough to lower it! my mother got herself the wrist bp monitor and in several weeks went down to normal from much higher than yours.
if you have liquid remedy 30c you may take directly 1-3 drops onto your tongue - or (it is easier I think) you may add them to some water (like half of glass)and stir every time/sip 1/3rd morn-eve-morn--then assess results after 2-3 weeks.

Thank you Astra
Yes, I am taking Allopathic med 'Norvasc' for over 13 years. Am not sure this will antidot Homeo meds. I believe allo and homeo meds work side by side.
I started with Hemeo meds on the advise of this Forum during July this year. Arnica 6c wet,& Cal Flu. In days, my BP came down to 115/75, I was happy and I cut on the allo drug by half from 10mg to 5mg. Next day my BP went up to 150/95. (I have a BP monitor home)I am still on allo med, 5mg. I tryed other meds recommended by this Forum one by one. I tryed 'Allium Sativum' too, every day, 30 drops. This is good, this brough down my BP by 10 counts within half an hour and again, the BP went up.
At this point I thought of finding my Constitutional medicine that may help to build up my immune system paving way for meds to work well. The abc Sofeware suggested me Phosphorus, Sulphur, Ars, Calc, Nat M, Lyc and so on. The best bet was Phos. I took 6x for a week and 30c for 5 day. It worked buy not for HBP. I noticed every time I take Phos, my BP went up. Phos good for inflame and degenerate mucous membrances.
I think I have to try the next one.( I have all possible Homeo meds for BP home in stock)But I can't try on my own without an advice of an experience Homeopath one like you.( I studied Homeo and qualified but never parcticed) I am copying Materia Medica: Sulphur often follow Acon in acute diseases and Calcarea, Lyco useful after Sulphur. These are my next meds in line. This suggests I must try Acon next?.
I love Homeo meds. and trying to spread the word out.
Sorry for my long story.
Please advise.
