IBS from last 7 years
Hello Doctors,I have been suffering from IBS from last seven years. However, I started homeopathic medication 7 months back, but no relief.
Recently, I gone through url:
positivehealth dot com/article/homeopathy/homeopathy-and-irritable-bowel-syndrome
and found that my symptoms are 100% matching with lycopodium and little bit with Natrum Muriaticum.
Please let me know how to take these medicines in detail, if possible.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
You should start with Nat Mur 6X 4 tabs three times a day if your symptoms match with this medicine too.

You should start with Natrum Mur and later you can try Lycopodium. It is advised in homeopathic literature to not to start homeopathic treatment with Lycopodium medicines.
Regarding more information about Natrum Mur, you can google it.
Thanks.

IBS is a chronic problem. You should read more about it in both respects general medical as well as homeopathic point of view.
One can not stay with you for long time. You should take care of your own-self.
Thanks.

How will I help my self? Do you mean it is not curable at all?
Thank you for your invaluable help.
If anyone can help with joy, not half-hearted then plz reply back.

You can help yourself by reading more and more about this disease.
Regarding your question of incurability, I would say as you have sensitive bowels, which are likely to be sensitive for always, but but it can be calm by its own or by various measures you try.
I have not advised you half-heartly and one have to give lots of time and many times results are not good enough that discourages us...IBS is also that kind of problem...lots of ups and down...very hard to decide what help and what not...lastly once again I would like to say you can help by yourself. Read more and more about your disease and homeopathy.

Thank you for the clarification.
I wanted to know how long should I take Nat Mur 6x before reaching any conclusion? I hope it is answerable in homeopathy.
I have started taking it from yesterday.
Lastly, I would appreciate if you can share some links, books where I can read about IBS, homeopathy.
Thanks!

Hello, I suffer from 'IBS' as well (for 14 years), and I agree with what USEHOMEOPATHY says. Although I'm just an average woman, I've seen countless doctors and it wasn't until I met a Chiropractor who told me to cut out all sugar and dairy, did I find relief. I also cut out gluten which is another layer of relief.
I completely changed my diet and now make all my own food and really learned that unless you eat fresh, non processed foods, it's hard to eliminate sugar from the diet. It's in everything! From deli meat to bread and pizza, it's best not to eat any of those things, unless you cook it yourself. You'll have to ask restaurants how they prepare food. Do they use sugar or artificial sweeteners (a big no no), do they use canned food (another big no no) and do they use milk?
Living this new lifestyle has helped tremendously. I won't say I am 100% free of stomach woes because I have a sensitive stomach and certain foods just don't sit well with me. For example, I don't process brown rice well or soy...so I don't eat either. However, with all the diet changes, I now feel 80-90% improved!
You have to know your body, do research, discover the trigger foods you have to avoid and be serious about living this as a permanent lifestyle. It's a commitment.
Please find comfort in there are alternatives for sweets and you can enjoy food. It just takes preparation and time to adjust. I now make my own no-sugar added desserts and dairy-free pot pies:) I also eat out on occasion but as much as I ask questions, half the time, I still end up feeling sick with IBS symptoms. Wait staff don't know what is in the food. They can be ignorant to special dietary needs, so say you are 'allergic' and this will get their attention.
Good luck!
