This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
An update with Ruby: she's been having trouble passing bowel movements lately. Brought to the vet and mass in rectum has grown, but still has a small opening. Vet thinks rectum was primary site. No surgery available. Last option was to give a steroid injection to see if it will reduce size of mass. Will know within a day or two. If no reduction then no other medical options for her. They will have to make a tough decision...leaving her in this condition would lead to a painful bowel perforation.
Are there any other homeopathic options at this point?

Put her on a weekly dose of Conium 200c, chances are that we can save her.

We are giving Ruby the conium weekly, but she is also getting .5 mg of dexamethasone daily from the vet. This was to try and reduce the inflammation so she could pass her stool. She is also getting a stool softener. Is it okay to give this combination? Is she still benefitting from the conium?

Its better to do one treatment only, you can decide what to do based on the results.

This is a tough decision. It's critical that she can pass stool. What happens if she's given both treatments? Do they work against each other?

Our dear little Ruby passed away in the early morning of December 11. Thank you for helping us give her a few extra months.

I'm so sorry. I hope we were able to make her last days a bit comfortable.

The doses of conium since summer gave her some really good months that's for sure. We were wondering if she was in remission, then she started to struggle with passing her stools. I saw on the X-ray that her sublumbar lymph node had grown so big that it pressed down and prevented stool from passing. It was 90% closed. The vet thinks something may have ruptured in her from all the straining. It's so sad. My family is devastated by her loss.
Thank you again for your help.
