5 month old baby girl with reflux!

Hello,

I have a nearly 5 month old baby girl who's always brought milk up/ vomited large amounts of her feeds, since birth.
I was breast feeding her for the first 8 weeks but stopped after getting very upset and frustrated with the constant sick not gaining weight properly, so I've changed her to formula. My baby's paediatrician prescribed a load of medicine to give her which I was not happy about, after a few days I stopped give her the medicine as I saw no improvements and I was dreading the thought of these medicines damaging her tiny little body. So after many visits to family docs, paediatrician, dietitian and chiropractor, I am now at my wits end as I don't know what else to do.
Or I didn't know what to do until I read about Jeopathy which I want to give it a go and I pray to God that it works.
She also eating solids now which she brings back up as well.
Can anyone please help or advise on what I should start with.
Many thanks in advance.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Give her 3 pills of AETHUSA CY. 30 two times in a day morning & night for 5 days and watch the improvement.

Are you giving her drinking water or not? If NO please feed her some water 2-3 times a day. At least half a cup of nicely boiled & slightly sweetened water in a full day.I FEEL IT IS A MUST.

Hi daktersaab,

Many thanks for your response.

I managed to buy the liquid form today of the Aethusia 30c from the shop, can I give this instead of the pills?

Also as to the water, I do give her water as she's on solids and I'm frighten of her getting constipated, as to the sweetened water, how can I sweeten it without causing any harm?

Once again many thanks
Michelle

Yes you can give drop doses. just take a teaspoonful of water in a plastic or glass container or spoon (non-metallic) & mix one drop of medicine. Make her to drink it. It is one dose.
As for drinking water you can add a little sugar while boiling the water or even honey would do.No harm will come it is just to make it tasty for the little one.
Slowly you can increase the water intake.

Hi- Using a little granulated sugar won't
hurt anything. But I would not use honey
until 12 months.

Although honey seems like a wholesome and natural food to give your infant, don't do it until after she's at least 12 months old. Honey can contain spores of a bacterium called Clostridium botulinum, which can germinate in a baby's immature digestive system and cause infant botulism, a rare but potentially fatal illness.
These spores are usually harmless to adults and children over 1 year old, because the microorganisms normally found in the intestine keep the bacteria from growing.
To be on the safe side, don't cook with honey (in baked bread or pudding, for example) if your baby is going to be eating the finished dish. While the toxin is heat sensitive, the spores are difficult to kill. Commercial foods that contain honey, like ready-to-eat breakfast cereals and baby food, are safe for your baby because they've been heated enough to kill the spores.
The FDA has tested other sweeteners (such as light and dark corn
syrup) and not found the harmful bacteria. But it's a good idea to consult with your baby's doctor about which foods are the healthiest.
If your baby shows symptoms of botulism – constipation along with muscle weakness, trouble sucking, slack jaw, or crying and lethargy – see a doctor immediately.

Hi,

Thank you so much for the advice.

One question though about the dose.
Do I give the diluted doses before or after a feed?
She has milk first thing in the morning and last thing at night.

Also as to the water, I don't feel as if I have to sweeten the water as drinks it plain without problems.

I would never give honey as I extensively read into the properties of honey and the damage it can cause to a baby many years ago when my son was a baby.

Also when should I start seeing any improvements? as she seems to bring back a lot more, she doesn't seem in pain but just constantly brings milk and solid foods too.

Should I give her something else?
She's not on PPI drugs as I don't want to give it to her as I don't believe they do any good.

Sorry for all the questions.

Many thanks
Michelle

You can give the medicine with a gap of about 15 minutes before or after the milk feed.It really does not matter as milk is a non spicy food.

In case she is enjoying water as it is then no problems.

I agree honey may do some harm so you may avoid it.
