food allergy advice

Hi, I was on before about my wee son's allergies, i need some advice on a few matters if possible.
He was allergy tested by a chinese doctor who sent some of his hair away for analysis, it came back with allergies i knew he had, also with new ones i didn't know of such as wheat, dairy, gluten and citrus fruits and many more, the problem is i have been bombarding his body with new substitutes such as soya produce, goats cheese, rice milk and oats, these are all products he never had before and has been reacting with hives since last week, every new food i gave him made him react with hives, will i go back to his normal diet where he never had reactions, i dont know what to do, but he's not even two yrs old and i feel terrible, i'm still breastfeeding a night and morning feed, he used to eat like cheese and toast and cereal in the mornings and never had hives or act abnormally, now with all the new food within twenty minutes of eating them he comes out in hives. also if theres a remedy you think may correct the balance i would appreciate it, i live in northern ireland, my wee boy has red hair, pale skin, has respiratory allergies and is highly allergic to egg, blackcurrant and lentils, he throws them up and gets blotchy, the other new allergies i din't know about, also what do you think about the chinese method of hair testing for allergy, do you think it is accurate

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
i would advise seeing a qualified kinesiologist for allergy testing - try and find one with good nutritional training, if not possible then see a nutritionist also. This way you will get the correct diet as well as cutting out foods. Of course if you have good nutritional knowledge yourself already then just kinesiologist will be ok.

Hair analysis gives a good reading of nutritional deficiencies but I'm not sure it is reliable for allergy testing.

Why get involved with so many specialists and make a guinea-pig of the child, when you can go back to what the child was digesting without getting hives? Was there any special reason for going to the Chinese doctor?

hi sahai, I got my son tested really to confirm the respiratory allergies i suspected he had, really so i could get some support from my doctor because i know my child dosn't have asthma and only reacted three times in contact with the allergen also my husband has the same and i also have problems with pollen and mould spores, it made little difference with my G.P. anyway he just isn't interested, just send him out with drugs. so i just wanted some confirmation really.
Ive put him back on his normal foods, his hives have faded, do you think it will take long for them to go away and how long do you think for him to get back to normal, i learn't my lesson but i had my childs best interests at heart.

hi again sahai,
In answer to your question about the chinese doctor, i was recommended to go there by my health food shop because the method of research on allergies didn't cause any distress as do other methods, i cut a piece of his hair for them, i needed to know from anyone with experience how accurate that procedure would be.

If you have Nux Vomica(any potency, 30C and below), give him half pillule crushed, thrice a day. As soon as improvement sets in, stop medicine. Repeat if required, but I have a feeling that he will be ok in a day or so.

I do not know about hair testing.
