Anxiety and Panic (Gelsemium C 200)

Hey everyone! I was just going through the posts on the forum and I am pretty impressed how people are willing to help out. I am very much hoping that this platform will help me too to eventually get rid of my anxiety and panic disorder.

About me:

I am 27 year old, male, mechanical engineer, from Germany. I had a very pleasant/normal childhood. For last 12 years I am suffering from a condition that I have anxiety about pretty much everything. Mostly in social situations. For example, going to the grocery store, mall, meeting with new people, meetings with new clients, parties and on and on. The symptoms that I feel are my heart races, extremely shaky, I feel spacey all the time even if I am not feeling anxiety, fear of situations, and anticipation of situations which only makes them worse by the time I get there. This whole anxiety thing accumulates and results in weird contraction of whole body and pressure / stiffness on my face. It takes 2 - 15 seconds to get back to normal and once I am normal, I am like the most confident person on this earth. Unfortunately, anxiety shows up again after couple of minutes and then the same cycle.

A gentle sensation on my body also causes sometimes the above scenario. For example, while wearing socks.

Medication:

My brother is a doctor and he advised me to take Alprazolam (Xanax) to see if it is anxiety or a physical problem and Alprazolam (0.25 mg) worked for me. I was really happy that now I can have anxiety-free life. Unfortunately, after 6 days (taking 0.25 mg / day daily) the symptoms started to appear again and my brother suggested to increase the dose. I knew it is going to be addictive and it is not a long term treatment. I stopped taking Aprazolam and the moment I stopped it, my anxiety increased 3x at least as if the medicine was just holding back my Anxiety and once I don't have any medicine in my blood, all the anxiety in coming back with full force.

I was depressed and quite hopeless that at that point knowing how anxietiy free life could be.

Last month one of my friends suggested me to try Homeopathic remedies for anxiety. I decided to go direct to the doctor than to look on the internet.

The doctor listened to my whole story and prescribed me;

- Gelsemium Q, 25+25+25 drops
- Chamomilla 30, 25+25 drops

At that time I didn't find exactly the above medicines in the pharmacy so with my doctor's advice I got;

- Gelsemium C 200
- Chamomilla D 12

The medicine is in the form of Globules. I started taking 5 Globules of each medicine 3 times a day and on the second day my anxiety symptoms were gone. I felt bit dizziness but that was not something I was worried about. I was really happy that something not addictive unlike earlier mentioned remedies is working for me. On the 5th day I again started to feel anxiety symptoms and the intensity of the symptoms were 3 times just like the result of Xanax.

I was again depressed. I didn't take both medicines anymore and after 10 days the intensity of my symptoms came to normal. Surprisingly, after coming back to normal, the symptoms steadily reduced to the point that they completely vanished. I was not on any medicine and believe me for the next ten days I had not a single panic attack.

Yesterday I started again to panic and anxiety symptoms are back. I can't understand what kind of cycle it is. My doctor is on vacations. I can't figure it out on my own.

Here is the summary of medication in bullet points if it was too confusing.

20 Aug - 27 August .... 5 Globules 3 times a day .... no anxiety symptoms

27 Aug - 30 Aug .... 5 Globules 3 times a days .... anxiety symptoms 3 times

30 Aug - 10 Sep .... No medicine .... intensity of the symptoms gradually decreased to normal

10 sep - 18 sep .... No medicine .... No Anxiety

Onwards ... No medicine ... Symptoms are back

I really need someone to explain the whole thing and some solid advice. I am fed up of my anxiety. Can someone please help me? Please!!!

Hi Umair--
Here is what happened.

Day one you took medicines.
Day Two symptoms were gone.

(At that point you should have stopped taking the medicines
and see what the effect would be over the next few days-
the 200c potency often lasts for 2 weeks)

Reactions to remedies are going to be different for
everyone and when a remedy starts to have an action,
good or bad, you stop. You wait. You want to see what
kind of action, how long it lasts, if it is curing or
palliating.Depending on the reaction, the homeopath can
then decide when you take another dose, or if you need
a higher or lower potency, or if you need to switch remedies.

Look up 'Herings Law of Cure' to see what the homeopath
is looking for in terms of real cure.

___________How to dose now_____________

Do the dose in water, it is more gentle that way.
if PILLS- of Gelsemium 200 and put into a dropper bottle, This will
be your dosing bottle, Put 1/5th alcohol into the bottle the rest water and
dissolve the pills. Hit the bottle hard 6x against your hand.
Take out 2 drops into 2 tsp of water and take one tsp for a dose- then hold in your mouth for
20 seconds before swallowing--------

IF DROPS- then just hit the bottle 6x and put 2 drops into two tablespoons
of water, and take one tsp as a dose-

_____________

After you do this- you can report on here - after 2 days about what is going on.

Hey Simone

Thank you so much for your interest in my case and reply. It seems like you are really understanding whats going on and answered exactly how I was expecting.

The explanation you provided is very logical. What I understood from your reply, the medicine actually worked for me and the period 'Day two through day 5' was result of over dose. If I had properly dosed the medicine, I would have avoided the sudden aggravation of the symptoms.

Thank you for the dosage instructions. I would love to try exactly how you are prescribing it but there is a issue I forgot to refer in the original message.

The day before yesterday (18th sep) when I again had anxiety symptoms I started again Gelsemium 200 and Chamomilla but only 5 globules of each only once a day before sleeping. I put globules directly under the tongue. I took the same dose yesterday (19th sep) too. The medicine is not showing any effect so far.
I know I probably shouldn't have taken medicines on my own without any proper dosage plan.

Now I really would like to do this treatment systematically the way you are advising. Could you be kind enough to guide me from this point on wards what should I do? I am not taking any medicine tonight.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Cheers !

Hey !

'So it seems as if you are having to take around 12 doses of Gelsemium 200c to get the effect and that means the potency can be too low.'

I guess you misunderstood it (Please correct me if i am wrong). The first time (on 20th August) I took only 5 Globules (Tiny round granules) of Gelsemium C 200 and Chamomilla D12, 3 times a day and I was perfectly alright the next day. But I keep on taking the medicine and it was I guess too much. What I feel is potency is not the issue, but correct dosage is.

Regarding 'Gelsemium 1M' I checked online and I didn't find the exact name. The nearest I found 'Gelsemium FC1M' and it will take several days to get this one as it is only prepared on special orders. Would that be possible to stick with Gelsemium C 200 for the time being?

I am not taking any medicine since yesterday and I am currently going through the phase when my symptoms increases to 3 or 4 times. This is always like this when I don't get any anxiety symptoms for days due to medicine and suddenly after 7 to 10 days anxiety comes back with full force.

I have one more question regarding your first reply. How come over-dosage can cause further anxiety? Sorry if my question sounds dumb. Over-dosage of a medicine should not cause the same symptoms it is curing. For example, over-dosage of Dispirin or Paracetamol doesn't cause fever or headache but kidney problems.
I know you have reasons to believe what you are saying. A little explanation will clear my doubts.

PS. I am filling the form.

Thanks

Patient ID: Sex: M Age: 27

Please answer the following questions in a descriptive manner after careful analysis and recollection of previous experiences and happenings.

1. Describe your main suffering?

I have anxiety about pretty much everything.

2. What other physical sufferings do you have in your body?

Non.

3. What mental sufferings / feelings do you have associated with your physical sufferings?

As said, I don't have any physical sufferings. I am perfectly physically fit.

4. What exactly do you feel when you are at your worst?

I think about it too much. I am cool person. I usually doesn't go through stress very often. 'Every worse period is not going to stay forever'. This magic line works for me every time.

5. When did it all start? Can you connect it to any past event or disease?

Not at all. It all started back in high school when i was 16. Can't exactly remember the first time. But fear of public appearance and one to one oral examinations was always on my nerves.

6. Which time of the day you are worst?

When I wake up, I always go through panic. It looks as if, all night my body was holding the anxiety back and the moment I wake up and boom panic attack is there for 10 sec.

7. What are the things which aggravate your suffering and which are those which ameliorate the same?

Aggravate:

- Feeling of being judged
- Anticipation of situations
- Sudden happening of something around. Like when someone shouts or ask me for address.

Ameliorate:

- When I am alone and I just focus on what I am doing. Not letting my mind to do over-thinking

8. Do your think your sufferings have relation to any external stimuli (like, change of place) or any internal biological changes in the body, like, menses (in females)?

No

9. When do you feel better, during hot weather or cold weather, humid or dry weather?

Weather doesn't make any difference

10. Describe your general mental set up? Are you Moody, Arrogant, Mild, Agreeable Changeable, Nervous, Suspicious, Easily offended, Quiet, Arguing, Irritating, Lazy etc.

I am very (exceptionally) cool minded person. If I don't like something, I normally don't say a word but at the same time will not forget it. I some times feel I keep too many things in me and it negatively effects me. But at the same time I think that by keeping my thoughts to me I avoid arguments which is just waste of time and energy.

- How do you feel before or during a thunderstorm?

Adventurous

- Do you like being consoled during your tough times?

No, I would rather prefer to be alone and sort out the things.

- Are you sensitive to external stimuli like smell, noise, light etc?

Not at all. Nothing bothers me.

- Do you have any typical habit or gesture like nail biting, causeless
weeping, talking to one self etc?

Nothing. Though I have habit of making scenarios in my mind. Isn't it normal ?

- How do you feel about your friends, family, your children and especially your husband / wife?

They are all I have. I love them more than anything in this world and they love me even more. I know it !

11. What are your fears and do you dream of any situation repeatedly?

fear of getting panic attack in front of someone or audience and feeling embarrassment.
I dream a lot but never about the same situation repeatedly.

12. What do you crave for in food items and what are your aversions?

I like fried things. Fried chicken and fish are my favourites. I eat everything. No aversions at all.

Normal

14. How if your hunger: Less, Normal or Excessive?

Normal

15. Is there any kind of food which your body can’t stand?

I sleep 8 hours a day like a baby. I have no particular sleeping position.

20. How do you think you are different from others, if at all?

I don't complain if something is not going my way. I sort it out calmly and would rather would like to keep it to my self how i did it.

21. What medications have been taken earlier by you to treat the diseases and do you have any particular symptom surfacing after the medication?

Hi Umair-

Your description of what is happening is confusing.

You said-

The day before yesterday (18th sep) when I again had anxiety symptoms I started again Gelsemium 200 and Chamomilla but only 5 globules of each only once a day before sleeping. I put globules directly under the tongue. I took the same dose yesterday (19th sep) too. The medicine is not showing any effect so far.

Effects are 'anything' that is going on- relief, getting worse, new things,
nothing going on , etc.

You are now describing the effects--
am not taking any medicine since yesterday and I am currently going through the phase when my symptoms increases to 3 or 4 times. This is always like this when I don't get any anxiety symptoms for days due to medicine and suddenly after 7 to 10 days anxiety comes back with full force.

So this getting 'worse' is after just 2 days of 1 dose a day- this is a homeopathic aggravation of
old symptoms and it should subside again like before.

__________________________________________________

1. Homeopathy does not work like allopathic medicines-it is chosen based on being similar to
your disease. When it is similar it acts as a catalyst to your body bc the body will not accept
two similar things. The body raises your life force in reaction to the medicine, clearing
the imbalances out.

After you take homeopathic medicine- these are some of the things that can happen.

A. Old things get worse for a time and then you feel mentally better and physically better.
This is called a homeopathic aggravation. If this happens it is a sign the remedy is correct,
but if the aggravation is very strong or keeps going for a long time, it means you had too many
doses, or potency should be adjusted.

So after what you just reported it seems you are having an aggravation and when any dose
of a remedy has ANY action, relief or aggravation, you stop taking doses. You wait to see
what goes on next.

Right now it appears that you are aggravating from the two doses - so you have to wait to see
if then things get better and how long they stay better for. You only take a dose when you go
backwards again after relief happens. What should happen next time is that you just take
one dose of the 200 in water as I described and wait and see how that affects you.

You can report in the next few days whether the 'aggravation' is diminishing.

Thanks again for the detailed reply.

Sorry if my description of events was ambiguous. Yes, you are right. I have currently aggravation of the symptoms. Every time the symptoms comes back after a long interval they are always so aggravated. That is why I thought that it is not the medicines responsible for the aggravation but the nature of my anxiety Because the medicines can't decrease the aggravation of the symptoms when I took 1 dose for two days, I reached to a conclusion that they don't have any effect.

But I have feeling that the anxiety symptoms are more aggravated than normal so medicines are also aggravating them. As you said homeopathic aggravation is good thing if it not for a larger span. It means the medicine is working. This statement is moral booster for me :)

Summary: The current aggravation of the symptoms is in result of nature of anxiety plus aggravation caused by the medicines.

So I am not taking anything now. Waiting to see how long aggravated symptoms last and what happens afterwards. I will keep you updating.

Thank you again for taking interest in my case.

Evocationer last decade
Please wait till he reports.

The problem has been that the reporting is not correct, due
to the patient analyzing things, and then reporting the
conclusion of his analysis as the real effects or facts and also being new to
homeopathy and basing analysis on allopathic med use etc- so it has
been a communications issue up to now. So if you analyze now it will
be wrong info and further confuse everything.

I think as of the last post we are now on the same page.

There are a fair few problems I can see here, some of which Simone has quite rightly pointed out.

1. You have way too much of the medicine. Overdosing in the way you have has had a secondary result which is point 2.

2. You have either palliated or suppressed your condition. This is easy to do when you take such a huge overdose. You must have had almost 40 doses of a 200c! You should only be taking ONE dose and waiting to see the result.

The problem comes when the remedy is not a genuine curative remedy but only superficially suits the symptoms (as I believe was the case here). Rather than pushing the symptoms outward (aggravation) they push them inward (suppression).

We know when this happens because the first reaction to the remedy is relief. Relief is then followed by a return of symptoms or by aggravation (both of which have happened here).

Proper homoeopathic reaction should be aggravation followed by relief.

In fact the overdosing has created a complicated reaction here.

20-27 August - palliation
27-30 August - vital force has been overdosed so strongly it takes on the symptoms of the remedy (proving)
30 August-10 September - vital force slowly returns to its normal state (proving wears off)
10-18 September -Palliation has become suppression - natural symptoms have been driven inwards
18 September onwards - disease return and are worse. Further use of remedy produces no improvement.

Palliation and suppression can lead to making your condition more difficult to cure, possibly making it incurable.

You must not use our medicines this way. You must not use Gelsemium again either, nor try to self-treat. You could be making it harder for someone else to help you. It is a great tragedy to see someone using homoeopathy to harm themselves, perhaps to the point where treatment becomes so complex that just finding a homoeopath with the right skills to undo it is almost impossible.

Just to be clear - this is not aggravation. This is suppression. You are at grave risk right now in what you are doing and it needs to be sorted out by someone with the experience and grounding in the philosophy to do that properly.

Evocationer,

18 September- you have this incorrect.

He took 2 doses and stopped, His symptoms aggravated.
We are waiting for the aggravation to wear off.

So it is not clear yet what is going to happen.

He is brand new to homeopathy and there is no need to
make someone feel more anxious than they already are.

Umair- report what is going on in two days- we will figure it out.

Best,

One of the great old homoeopaths Dr. James Tyler Kent outlined in his 'Lectures on Homoeopathic Philosophy' the reactions to a prescription and what each one means. We call this the Twelve Observations of Kent.

I believe your reaction is covered by the Fifth Observation. 'The amelioration comes first and the aggravation comes afterwards'.

'The patient comes back in a few days telling you how much better he was immediately after taking the medicine, and how he has (x) days of what appears to be decided improvement. The patient says he is better, and the symptoms seem to be better, but wait and at the end of a week or so and all the symptoms are worse than when he first came to you. It is not a very uncommon thing in severe cases, in cases of a good many symptoms, to have an amelioration by the remedy come at once; but whatever you may say, the condition is unfavourable.'

'Either the remedy was only a superficial remedy, and could only act as a palliative, or the patient was incurable and the remedy somewhat suitable.'

'Sometimes you will discover that the remedy was an error; ta further study of the case shows that the remedy was only similar to the most grievous symptoms, that it did not cover the whole case, that it did not affect the constitutional state of the patient...'

'It is the best thing for the patient if the symptoms come back exactly as they were, but very often they come back changed, and then you must wait through grievous suffering for the picture; and the patient will wait better if the doctor confesses on the spot that the selection was not what it ought to be, and he hopes to do better next time...'

Evocationer last decade
Simone this is what he said:

'20 Aug - 27 August .... 5 Globules 3 times a day .... no anxiety symptoms

27 Aug - 30 Aug .... 5 Globules 3 times a days .... anxiety symptoms 3 times '

So that is 3 doses a day for 8 days, then another 3 doses a day for 3 days - 33 doses actually rather than the 40 I estimated (I counted one of those days twice).

It is important when assessing a case to look at the information given closely.

I am happy for the patient to correct what he said if this is not what he did. He did not revoke these statements in his later posts.

I have spent many years assessing remedy reactions. It is very clear what has happened here, and it is dangerous. Sugar-coating it is not going to help him.

Evocationer last decade
Well - we are going to wait and get an accurate report of
the facts and go from there. The facts reported were
not correct really and I have already spent a lot of time
figuring that out with Umair.

And as far as the 5th observation- I have seen quite a few
of your cases appear to do this.Sunflower being one of them-
but the remedy appears to be working out even tho she
first feels fantastic and then having very distressing reactions-

and you mentioned that her health might be permanently
Ruined which disturbed her, and now it all seems to be
working out quite nicely.

At this point in time- the correct thing to do is wait and
observe and see what the facts are.

simone717 last decade
Evocationer:

Also what is done is done. A homeopath gave him this prescription.
He is not going to take it anymore. He did the right thing, he went to
a homeopath-

same as Sunflower. I am not arguing with your assessment of the dosing
or remedy.

Alluding that people may have ruined their health ?? I do Not agree.

I have in the past talked to other people on here, who at first did not say
they went to the homeopath, just asked about the prescription they were
taking ( some really, really bad prescriptions- one was Kali bich several times
a day for 3 months and the person was feeling horrible and anxious. I had
to get her to email me bc you were giving her a real panic attack. A homeopath
gave her the prescription, she stopped taking it. After a week she was fine.

I see no point in making people have horrible anxiety- no point.

simone717 last decade
No that is not correct. All of the curative effects I see in cases get aggravation first, often quite marked aggravation. This is always followed by slow and steady improvement. I am very careful both with my dosing and selection of remedy.

There are times when I am concerned that I am seeing palliation, and just as Kent suggests I will let patients know I think that is happening. It can happen, it can happen to any of us. The important thing is to KNOW and ACKNOWLEDGE it is happening rather than getting confused yourself about it. How we respond could make the situation worse if make a mistake about the response on top of the wrong remedy being given.

I am not in the habit of suppressing (therefore harming) people under my care. I have been taught better than that, and I am more careful than that.

Sunflower reported this after the remedy:

'First day had indigestion, extreme tiredness, constipation, stomach cramps, my eyes were extremely sore and eyelids felt stiff.
Lots of buzzing in ears and fogginess.
Day 2 Rash appeared on upper chest, insomnia that night, no thoughts, just complete blnkness of mind.
Day 3 Everyone looks old to me
I find myself staring at how people are ageing.
Day 4 Can tolerate alcohol more, usually 2 glasses of wine and I feel dizzy and tired, that did not happen this time.
Day 5 Feeling very nostalgic, remembering and grieving the 'good old days'
Day 6 Blank mind and no reaction to thoughts of a future public performance.

Day 7, Had most amazing sleep, lots more dreams than usual and remembered. Have more energy.
Can speaak to people and look them in the eyes more, without worrying about what they are thinking of me.

So, to clarify, I am much better self confident wise, am not as resentful of people whom I feel did me worong in the past, it doesn't really bother me.
The only problem I have now is I cannot remember names of people, feel a bit spaced, not aware of time going by, or what day it is.
I feel a bit too laid back as I have projects and deadlines to meet'

It is most likely the Third Observation that applies to her case - 'Aggravation is quick, short and strong with rapid improvement of the patient'. Of all the responses, this is the second-most desired one (with the Fourth Observation being the most desired/most favourable).

This is how I know to wait, to hold off, to reassure the patient, because I trust Kent's observations, because I have seen them so often born out in clinic.

Case management is quite difficult. I often see good results get ruined by impatience or by mistakes made through misinterpretation of the results. I have done this myself, more so in the past, and I had to learn hard lessons from those mistakes. It is true we rely on the perception of the patients and they can certainly can misinform us quite badly if we are not meticulous and alert.

Evocationer last decade
Obviously our approach is different. I see far too many ruined cases, ruined patients, due to the misbehaviour, ignorance, poor training, or outright unethical behaviour of people prescribing our medicines. This makes me pretty stern with my warnings, and I know that can make people more anxious.

I don't really have a problem with that. I would rather people were cautious about homoeopathy than the other way around. Too many people get harmed by these practitioners and then blame the whole profession for it. It disturbs me greatly.

I always temper my warnings with the advice that practicing homoeopathy CORRECTLY is quite safe. Practicing it in other ways is not.

Evocationer last decade
Hi-

Yes I was wrong about Sunflower reactions as I was thinking
of later reactions to other doses, where she felt good, and then
started feeling bad.

On Umair - Remember his homeopath had him take Gelsemium
AND Chamomilla D 12- At the same time.

so who knows what that combo did together or if Gelsemium is
really wrong.

He took the same combo- on Sept 18th and 19th and then
aggravated this time. But-At first he said taking this combo
had NO effect- bc he was mistakenly thinking this should
work like allopathic medicine and just remove the anxiety-
but actually the 2 doses did make his anxiety worse.

My intent was to understand what he was saying and I realized
he was contradicting himself by saying there was no effect,
and then that symptoms were worse immediately after the
second dose.

So we are at where we are at and have to wait to see what
he reports is happening to take a next step based on
what his reactions are after this.

simone717 last decade
Well to the prior post-

I say - How are people supposed to know who is doing
the proper thing and who is not?

If someone has their certification, has a practice,
has patients saying they have good results-

They go to the homeopath- then come on here and
have you tell them what they were told to do is
dangerous and perhaps ruined their health or made
them too hard to cure??

If I was really new to homeopathy and went to a
certified person, with experience and track record-
and then posted on here- what about what I am
taking?? And if I was told it was dangerous, I may
have ruined myself- my first reaction would be -
Well that is it for homeopathy, it seems there is
no regulation and people are doing dangerous things
and I don't know who to trust- forget it.

My first homeopath is a famous homeopath, only I did not know that- He was down
the street from my office which is why I went there. At some point when he was out of
the country teaching, I went to one of his colleagues who had training with him-also
fairly well known. I saw this person every 3 weeks, and every 3 weeks she gave me something
different. After 6 months I felt, this seems to be wrong. I went back to the original person-
his eyes got large when he saw my list of remedies and later the second homeopath sent
me a note saying she was very sorry. I just did not know enough, I thought it was similar
to going to a good MD. I knew he did not approve, but THANK God he never said-
well you are now in danger of never being cured or whatever- I would have
felt very depressed, very anxious, hopeless like a victim of some accident, when
I tried to do the right thing. He just said, Ok lets start over and I was fine with
that- I felt positive and did not have the 'thought' stuck in my brain of
What if???

Not fair to scold, or agitate people on prescriptions from certified homeopaths- that is why
when I recommend someone to someone I make sure that they at least follow the basic
rules and have testimonials or cases that show how they practice. Caveat emptor is all I
can say about it.

I don't scold the people who come here, my criticism is directed at the people prescribing for them. I warn them because if someone doesn't, they end up continuing to visit people who do things like this poster has had done to him. They end up with the same kind of prescriber or someone worse, doing something even more crazy.

THEN they go away thinking 'homoeopathy doesn't work' or 'homoeopathy is too dangerous'. They aren't going to simply believe something I say. You give me way too much power. What they are going to look at is what these prescribers do to them.

I never have a go at the victims, only the perpetrators.

And they ARE in danger very often from these people - real physical danger. Pretending they are not does not help them in any way.

Hey Simone und Evocationer,

I just went through the discussion you guys are having and believe me being totally new to Homeopathy I learned a lot. It seems as if you both really understand what is going on with me. Actually I have been to several allopathic doctors. After 10 minutes of listening they always have prescribed Xanax or SSRI. I always had a feeling that they really don't understand what I am trying to say and they pretty much have standard medicines regardless of the symptoms for mental condition. Thanks to this forum, I can finally see a ray of hope.

The homeopath, who wrote me the first prescription is a professor of Homeo medicine, D.H.M.S. and R.H.M.P. (I have no idea for what these abbreviations stand for).
The initial dosages were on his advise and at no point he brought over-dosage in to discussion. I am not in contact with him anymore, otherwise I would have asked him for explanations.

I tried my best to explain my condition to simone and gave exact account of my condition. I am just summarizing it here once again as the history is by now pretty scattered.

20 Aug - 27 Aug ---> I took everyday 3 dosses of Gelsemium and Chamomilla. After 3 dosses on 20 Aug, I had no anxiety symptoms till 27 Aug. I felt dizziness during this whole period. I hardly could concentrate on my work.

27 Aug - 30 Aug ---> The symptoms were back. The intensity of the symptoms was 3 times. But the intensity of the symptoms was not at all more than I usually feel when I suddenly stop Allopathy medicines and the symptoms come back. This is exactly what happened on those 3 days. The symptoms came back despite of the fact that I was still taking medicine, the symptoms aggravation due to medicines was not noticeable.

30 Aug - 10 Sep ---> I stopped taking the medicine and anxiety came to the normal intensity (my normal state). At that point i thought that these homeopathic medicines are acting just like Xanax and they are nothing more than seductive agents. I was really disappointed and threw my medicine somewhere in the corner.

10 Sep - 18 Sep ---> I noticed that I am much more calm and I don't have any anxiety symptoms at all. There was no dizziness or anything. May be the best 8 days of my life. I never felt that confident.

18 Sep - 19 Sep ---> In the morning the symptoms were back and i was really depressed. The whole day I had three or four times panic attack. At night I took 1 dose of Gelsemium and Chamomille. The next day (19th Sep) I panicked approximately 6 times and in the night I took another dose of the medicine.

20 Sep - 22 Sep ---> My anxiety was never so severe like in these three days. Sudden phone ring is causing panic attack. I don't see it gradually reducing.

I hope the things are now more clear. I am not taking any medicine whatsoever anymore and waiting till my symptoms go back to normal.

Thanks

HI Umair,

Thanks for re-posting the timeline and descriptions.

On 20 Aug to 27 Aug--
Was the dizziness something that you ever had in
the past?
__________________________

On 30 Aug to 10 Sept-how many days did it take for
anxiety to come to your normal levels-I think I remember
you saying it took 5 days.

________________________________

Please list your history of Xanax and SSRI's and anything
else you have taken- what it was and how long you
took it for.

I will let Evocationer take over your case from here-
he has his own very detailed form he uses, one person
has to be in charge
______________________________________________________

This really began when you were around 15 years old, and
something you can't remember went on - maybe at school,
where you felt nervous due to some incidents. What happens many times, is the person
could not handle or process the incident/incidents at that time-for various reasons. If emotions are not processed they
get stored. But your body 'remembers'. So when similar type situations or sensations- show up,
you then have this unexplained anxiety. It does not make sense in present time-
many times when people get a therapeutic massage they will have disconnected emotions
coming up from years ago, this is an example of how emotions get stored.
The entire thing gets more confusing bc all the incidents after the first incident including past sensations add more charge to the nervous system - These are the mechanics-I find if
you know the mechanics you can calm yourself down much easier. Don't be afraid of
the panic-this causes more panic. The lower brain takes over here when the similar sensations,
thoughts, come up. The lower brain can set something off in 2 seconds and then over-ride
the front brain and release adrenaline, cortisol, etc. This is set up in humans to keep us alive,
but it works so fast, you don't know what happened. The Thought or sensation could be
a microsecond, and you won't even know you had it. Your front brain is turned down so
you can't be 'logical' and say, Oh that is nothing to be anxious over.

If in real 'danger' thinking is too slow to protect you -the more you understand this
the more you can see that the anxiety means something stimulated it-and you can then
calm yourself down and actually work on it by de-sensitizing yourself by taking baby steps
into situations - a therapist can help you with this alongside homeopathy.

Best wishes on your healing.

Based on your last summary, I would say that the suppression started in that first week. You clearly experience suppression with the allopathic medicines too, and the result is the same (temporary amelioration followed by worsening of symptoms).

This is very serious. It needs to be addressed soon. Suppression can lead to great harm.

It is important that the WHOLE case be looked at rather than just one or a small subset of symptoms.

HOW TO DESCRIBE YOUR COMPLAINTS (Physical Components)

In homoeopathy, prescription is based on precise details of various symptoms from which you suffer. To tell or write to a homoeopathic physician 'I have a headache ', ' an eruption ' or “a cough” would not be enough. If you inform him 'I have headache with sharp shooting pains in the left side of the head and temple, these pains always come on when the slightest cold air strikes the head. I feel better by pressing the head very hard.” Then only you have given all the information required for making a good homoeopathic prescription. The success of the prescription depends; largely on how detailed your description of the symptoms is.
We require the following details about your symptoms.

LOCATION: Please give the exact location of sensation, pain or other symptom. Also describe where the pain or sensation or symptom spreads.

SENSATION: Express the type of sensation or the pain or other symptom that you get in your own words however simple or funny it may seem. You may have a sensation that a mouse is crawling or the heart was grasped by an iron hand or you may have a pain that is cutting, burning jerking, pressing. Express the sensation or pain as it feels to you. Try to explain the whole sensation in the exact way it is happening and not just the word. We need to understand the whole process of the sensation as it is happening to you.

WHAT MAKES YOU WORSE OR BETTER:

Many factors are likely to influence your complaint. Some factors may intensify it and some factors may relieve the trouble. A detailed list of the factors is given at the end. Please refer it while describing each of your troubles and indicate which factors make the complaint better or worse.

DISCHARGES: You may have a discharge from nose, ears, mouth, eyes, ulcers, fistula, eruptions on skin, private parts, etc. Please describe your discharge in detail including colour, consistency, appearance, odour etc.

1] Your Complaint:

(Use your own words as far as possible, but if you have recognized or diagnosed the condition, give this information also.) By answering as many of these questions as fully as possible, you are helping me to understand what your body and unconscious mind is conveying. This can help me find a remedy for you.)
• What is your complaint?
• When did the complaint begin?
• Where is it located?
• What sort of sensations (and emotions) do you associate with it?
When does it tend to occur (time/day)
• Does anything make it better or worse?
• How does it bother you? How is it coming in way of your day-to-day life?
• How does it feel like to have this/these problem/s?
• What is the effect of this/these problem/s on you?
• Did any event happen which caused the complaint? Describe the emotion associated with it.
• What are the other symptoms started with it, esp. mental and physical symptoms, which are not directly related to the main complaint.
• What are your reactions with it?

PLEASE ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS FOR EACH SYMPTOM/COMPLAINT SEPARATELY. DO NOT INCLUDE ALL OF YOUR COMPLAINTS TOGETHER IN EACH QUESTION eg. all questions answered for Leg Pain, then same questions answered for Migraines, then same questions answered for Panic attacks etc.
