Root canal retreatment
Hi, I had a root canal done 4 years back. Recently i had to go for a retreatment of the root canal because there was swelling and infection. I was on antibiotics for 10 days but the swelling and infection is back again. Please recommend any medication that will cure this. Thanks,
Rao

Please take belladonna 30 and phosphorus 30 twice a day for 5 days and see how that affects.
If this doesn't help take Merc Sol 30 for 5 days.

Thank you for responding. I have started Belladona and Phosphorous 30 but in-case I need to take Merc sol 30 please let me know the dosage. Will that be twice a day as well?
Thank you,

I have taken Merc sol for 4 days now and tomorrow will be the last day. I visited the dentist today and he said the swelling and infection is reduced but not completely gone so he did the retreatment again. Please recommend if I should continue the same medicine or any other medicine I can take.
Thanks

Please take Merc Sol 30 twice a day for 7 days. You may take Sulphur 30 later if the cure is not completed.

I have used sulphur for 5 days but not a lot of improvement. In fact after the last re-treatment the swelling has increased. Is there anything else I can try or should I go for a surgery?

Please take Calcarea Carb 200 twice a day for 3 days. If there is no relief take Lycopodium 200 in the same way for another 3 days. If there is no relief even then, take your own decision on surgery.
