Skin rash

My father recently had surgery to place an artificial urinary sphincter, due to complications (incontinence) after prostate surgery. I am not sure if his current health concern is to do with this.

His current health concern is a rash that overnight appeared all over his body. It is itchy and red, and irregularly shaped. He has also had temple headache, dizziness/nausea on standing/sitting, and then vomitting, but this may be to a drug reaction (he was given prednisone for the skin rash). The prednisone seems to have had no effect on the skin rash.

He was admitted to hospital because his GP does not know what is causing his symptoms. So far nothing abnormal seems to be showing up in his blood tests. A dermatologist today has taken biopsy of the skin. When the dermatologist runs his finger across the skin the rash/welts appear.

My father is by nature a restless person. Could arsenicum album be a suitable remedy ?

My father is feeling better in himself - nausea and dizziness gone.

He still has a skin rash that worsens on contact with water/washing, and using a mentholated non-ionic cream that was prescribed. Does that sound like a sulphur rash? I would like for him to take a remedy for the rash, but am wary about dosing sulphur if he is using a skin cream? As far as I know he is not taking any steroid medicines now. How long would these need to clear from his system?

PL give him
1. Sulphur-30 6 pills twice a day
2. Arsenic Alb-200 6 pills at bed time
Pl give this treatment for one week and then give feedback

I am having a bit of difficulty with encouraging him to take the sulphur. He wants to just do the antibiotics from the gp doctor. I will keep trying.
