cruciate ligament injury

Hi
My dog is about 8 years old. She has been limping for about a year. Before it was just a little bit. Since about 5 months she started limping more, not all the time but it is worse when she starts moving after lying for some time. My vet said he doesn't see anything, it may be arthritis, gave her Rimadyl and 2 stem cell fluid shots ($300 each), but it didn't help at all. I went to another vet, he made x-ray and examined her under sedation and said that it may be partial or full anterior cruciate ligament tear. Recommended surgery which I want to avoid if possible. My dog is bearing weight on the affected hind leg most of the time. She walks ok, jumps on the bed but walks the stairs very carefully and after period of not moving she starts limping and trying to bear very little weight on the leg. I started giving her arnica, ruta, rhus tox and symphytum one or another but I don't know if those are the right remedies and what potency and how often to administer them. I also give her glucosamine and fish oil. Please help!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
If you have given Rhus Tox 30 twice a day for 3 days, you should wait and watch now and see how that affects over a week. If this doesn't work give her Pulsatilla 30 in the same way and see how that affects.

Thank you so much for responding. I stopped giving her anything else and will give her Rhus Tox 30 for three days and will see what happens. I am not familiar with Pulsatilla, could you tell me what is the remedy good for and how it works? Thank you again for your response.

Pulsatilla works for knee and stiffness affections of mild and capricious women. i think that it may work here.

Hi Kadwa, I followed your instructions with Rhus Tox 30 and then Pulsatilla 30, but unfortunately my dog is still limping, no improvement. I ordered a knee brace for her to make it easier for the knee. Would you suggest any other remedy that could help with the anterior cruciate ligament problem?

Please give her Arnica 30 twice a day for 3 days and see how that affects over a week. If this doesn't work give her Phosphorus 30 in the same way and see how that affects.
