Life after Birth Control

After being on the birth control pill for 6 years I finally decided to kick the nasty stuff and get healthy, and I'm having a bit of trouble getting back to normal.
Here's my story: I stopped the pill in January, experienced withdrawal bleed at the end of the last pack and the following month I felt better than I had in, well, six years. I was warm all the time, (generally I'm a cold person), I had tons of positive energy, my libido was about a 12/10, and none of the tension headaches and migraines I had been experiencing while on the pill.
Enter the second, and following months...My mood crashed, as did my libido, my warmth, and energy. I developed anxiety, insomnia, and the migraines came back. But no period. (Haven't had a real one since, and it's now December.)
Anyway, I went to my regular MD and she decided that I needed vistaril, and counseling for my anxiety, and also offered to put me back on the pill. (no way!) Anyhow the Vistaril did knock me out at night, but it made me severely lethargic and depressed the following day.
So then I found my way to a Homeopathic doctor, who, on assessing my constitution, decided I was Nat Mur, and gave me 1M, along with a prescription of PhytoB hormone cream. 5 drops in the morning, and within about five days I started to bleed. It lasted 5 days, ended, and then I went one week without bleeding, and then the following week I started again. This continued for about two months. I stopped the hormone cream. He tried oral progesterone and estradiol. No dice. Same bleeding pattern. He tried Phosphorus 200C to stop the bleeding, and it had no effects.
I stopped all hormones, had an ultrasound for PCOS (negative!), and on my own started taking Maca Root, which, incidentally stopped the bleeding overnight. I took Maca consistently for at least 5 months. It helped my mood, and my libido, and much of my tension. Still no period. Now I've been kind of going it on my own, and reading about Homeopathy. I have to say, the Nat Mur had very minimal effects on me, they lasted literally 12 hours, no more. He did give me a second dose the next time I went to see him, and it seemed to make me slightly irritable.
I've come to the conclusion that this was not my "constitutional remedy", and through quite a bit of research I think that Silicea sounds more like me, but so does Sepia. I've experimented with 6C, 30C, and 1M Silicea and it has helped my mood tremendously, but I still have persistent insomnia issues. And still no period. Over the last few months especially I've been researching remedies and symptoms and I've also tried Sepia. It seems to help my mood and energy, but in a minimal way. I was thinking of trying Thuja next. Also someone suggested Nux V. and Puls. for my condition. I'd like to get some other's input, if you wouldn't mind sharing??? Thank you, and pardon the lengthiness!! P.S. I have a personality/symptom questionare filled out if you'd like to see it, I can post it as well. Thanks.
-------
UPDATE:
I've been taking Nux 30C TID/3 days. Then puls. 30c TID/until menses. Just started the puls.
I went to the chiro on first day of Nux and he tried to adjust my hips; that night I had a streak of blood in CM, and the next morning I was light brown.
Yesterday I became so tired all the sudden around 7pm, by 8:30 I couldn't stay awake- I crashed hard on the couch till 10, woke up to eat, then went back to bed at 10:30. But I could barely get out of bed in the AM. Ugh. Also experiencing something like tinea p. on my lips. Ugh!!!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I can post my questionnaire if you would like a classical homoeopath's opinion on your remedy?

Yes! Thank you :) I'd be happy to fill that out :) :)

Alright...it is a lot of questions (which is the way of classical homoeopathy) so take your time.

CASE PRESENTATION FOR CLASSICAL HOMOEOPATHIC PRESCRIBING

General Guidelines:

1. Try to be as descriptive as possible. When describing pains or sensations use descriptions along the lines of ‘feels as if someone is squeezing it with their hand’ or ‘it is like an insect crawling around inside’ or ‘it is as if someone is standing over me threatening to kill me’. Long descriptions are always better than short ones. One word answers are difficult to use successfully.

2. Another important part of symptom description for homoeopathy are the ‘modalities’. These are situations, events, activities or conditions which modify the symptom in some way. We usually refer to this as what makes them ‘better’ or ‘worse’ (amelioration/aggravation). The situation may actually provoke the symptom into appearing, make it vanish altogether, or just increase or decrease it in some way. Modalities are vital information for prescribing.

Modalities are typically related to (but not exclusively) the following situations:

A. Temperature, weather
B. Time (day, night, specific times, frequency, periodicity, season)
C. Position, activity
D. Emotions, thoughts
E. Food and drink
F. Drugs, medication

3. How the symptom is perceived is important too – odour, appearance, sound, touch. What colour is it, what is its texture? For gestures, describe what it looks like the patient is doing, or what you feel you are doing while making the movement eg. ‘they look like they are swatting flies’ or ‘I feel like something is pushing my hand upwards’ or ‘it is like I stick a fork in an electrical outlet which throws my body backwards’. Description – it is key to accurate prescriptions.

4. When did the symptom or set of symptoms start? The apparent cause can be useful in determining the remedy, although it is not of the same importance as the previous factors. It may have been a specific event, a disease, an accident or even an emotional experience.

5. Use your own words. Do not copy phrases or descriptions found in our various remedy pictures. Try not to use other people’s ideas or thoughts or words. If you are reporting on behalf of someone else, report their exact words, however you can also report your own observations of them (not opinions).

6. Does the symptom occur alongside another specific symptom? Do particular symptoms only occur together? Does a particular symptom occur with a particular thought or emotion? For example, a headache that always comes with visual disturbances, or stomach pain that appears alongside anger, or anxiety that makes you feel like running down the street screaming.

7. Each complaint should be described fully before going on to describe another complaint. Try not to mix different symptoms or complaints together. Each modifying feature must be clearly attached to a particular symptom/set of symptoms. Any mistake you make here is a mistake the homoeopath will also then make.

MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL DESCRIPTION

(Please spend the most time on this section and give DETAILED answers - the homoeopathic remedy is very often decided on the basis of the mental and emotional state of the patient !)

1. What are the issues in your life that bother you the most. Not physical issues but mental or emotional ones. List each one separately and describe why each one bothers you so much.

2. What emotions are the most troublesome for you? What situations provoke these emotions. How do these emotions make you act? Do you feel any ill effects from expressing or not expressing these emotions.

3. What incidents in your life have had a deep impact on you? Describe each incident in detail and how they made you feel? What did you do in those situations? What effect have they had on your life?

4. What are you afraid of? Especially important are phobias, but it might be objects, situations or events that just produce a high level of anxiety. How do you manage your fears? How do you react when confronted with these fears? What would be the worst situation for you to be put in that would provoke these fears? You may need to talk about each fear/anxiety separately.

5. What hobbies do you have? Why do you like each of these activities?

6. Do you have any persistent thoughts, ideas or beliefs that are difficult to stop or cope with? What are they?

7. Do you have any unusual gestures or movements of the body? Do you feel any unusual sensation or pain throughout your body? What exactly does it feel like is happening in your body?

8. When you experience your fears, persistent thoughts, or difficult emotions, what kind of sensation or reactions do you get in your body?

9. When did you feel at your best in your life? What was that like for you? If you imagine the complete opposite of this feeling or moment, what would that be like?

10. Do you feel like you are stuck in a pattern of behavior, especially when trying to deal with your problems? What is this pattern? THIS IS AN IMPORTANT QUESTION PLEASE CONSIDER CAREFULLY AND GIVE DETAILS.

11. What difficulties or problems do you have in relationships? Talk about your family, your romantic relationships, your spouse or partner, your friends, and your work colleagues. You may need to talk about all of these separately.

12. List 5 positive things about yourself. Are there any situations where this positive attribute becomes negative (is a problem)?

13. List 5 negative things about yourself. Are there any situations where this negative attribute becomes positive (is useful)?

14. Do you have any reoccurring dreams? Describe them in detail, including any feelings that come while dreaming. Dreams are very important in unlocking the deepest truth of a patient’s case, but it is not enough to simply describe them in a sentence. Give as much information as you feel comfortable doing.

15. Did you have any reoccurring dreams as a child, or earlier in your life? Describe those in detail including any feelings that came with them.

16. What were you like as a child, your character, your personality, your fears, your dreams, your problems?

Okay, here's the first part. I will do the next one tomorrow.

MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL DESCRIPTION

1. What are the issues in your life that bother you the most. Not physical issues but mental or emotional ones. List each one separately and describe why each one bothers you so much.
It bothers me that I can never seem to know what the "right thing" to say is, and I feel like I have to plan out my responses before I speak them. And when I am speaking them, I lose my train of thought. It's incredibly frustrating because I feel like I can't communicate. Often times I will just give up and shut down, particularly in disagreements, I cannot think of anything to say, so I don't, but then I end up internally fuming over the issue, and either venting to a neutral party, or writing out my response later on.
My thoughts tend to be very self centered, self doubting and concerned about me; what I'm doing, how I'm feeling, if people understand me. I wish that I could not worry so much about that and start thinking about other people so that I could relate to them, and possibly make/maintain some friendships. I do care about people, but I feel that I am afraid to not be able to follow through with commitments, so I just don't make them. Basically it feels like I cannot get outside of my own head most of the time.

2. What emotions are the most troublesome for you? What situations provoke these emotions. How do these emotions make you act? Do you feel any ill effects from expressing or not expressing these emotions.
Troublesome emotions could be anger/easily offended/lose patience with the repetitious nature of daily life/work/etc.
I can get upset over dumb things my family/siblings do, and I usually end up getting in a text-message fight about whatever it is. Usually something they did that hurt my feelings(offended me), often it is something they did that I think is morally objectionable, and I feel like its my responsibility to make them understand the nature of their woe. If I do not express it, I just continue to fume internally and complain/vent to a neutral party until I decide I don't care anymore, or I have to say something. When I do say something, the fight ALWAYS gets nowhere(due mostly to my siblings ability to circular justifications), and I give up and become depressed, and usually back down and appologize. If the issue is big enough, I will lose sleep over it. Tension and tension headaches occur most frequently.
I get the most impatient with daily tasks like, waking up at 6:30AM five days a week, having to go to work and do the same routine day in and day out, and I struggle with the feeling that my life is going nowhere and this job is stupid and boring now, and I'd really like to find something new already. At first I love every new job, everything is great, people are great, there's all these perks....but after about a year I get fed up and I either begin to lose my positive attitude and conflict happens and I quit, or I just move on. I also did this when I was in high school. Part way through the school year I would just fake being sick and want to stay in bed for days.
3. What incidents in your life have had a deep impact on you? Describe each incident in detail and how they made you feel? What did you do in those situations? What effect have they had on your life?
When I was maybe 7 or 8 I remember my grandmother holding me down on her lap as she "prayed over me in tongues" and my grandpa spanked me with a piece of 2X4, because I had ran into the house to tattle on my cousin for not holding a fence down for me when the sheep was chasing us. I had held it down for her to go through first, and then she took off, leaving me to find my own way. I was very scared, and I could not understand why my grandma wouldn't take me seriously. I remember screaming and crying. I definitely don't trust her, for this and many other strange occasions.
My parent's divorce when I was 13. My mom had a homosexual affair. The marriage ended very ugly, with custody battles, a lot of slandering of my dad, extended family members getting involved and taking sides, also saying negative things about my dad and/or not standing up for the right things. The whole family used to be fairly tight knit before this, but, thanks to my mom and her parents, that was ended as well. My three younger sisters had to go with my mom, and live with her and her partner. I stayed with my dad. I felt very hurt towards my mom, and extended family. And very angry also towards them for not standing by the religious convictions we were all raised in. I was upset at my sisters, as well, for choosing to believe my mom's absurd sob-stories and manipulation tactics. Because of this I did not speak to my mom for quite a few years, intermittently I did, and we usually fought a lot. I am very afraid to have my own kids now, because I do not want to end up anything like my mom's emotionally manipulating personality, nor do I want to make any mistakes like were made with me, that damaged me so deeply.
I had a very good friend in High School who was killed by an intoxicated driver. This probably has had the most impact on my adult life. I was very aware of how much this person meant to me, and completely devastated by the loss. I will never forget how much I loved and he loved purely. And that it taught me to not take people for granted. To always think that one day could be the last and you've got to make sure you tell people the important stuff. And as I've grown, and moved on in my life, it still hurts, and makes me sad sometimes, but the biggest thing I know now is that God is in control of every second of life, and where He is taking me, and what He is doing in my life, and in anyone else's is not only not for me to say, but also a very infintesimal part of an inconcievably bigger picture, and trusting His Soveriegn hand is the best option. And that gives me much peace.

A weird one is Aquariums. Big aquariums, like at the Zoo, with huge fish, that freaks me out. The huge looming floating thing above me, the subdued lighting, and almost omninous darkness...ugh. I have to look away and get out of there as fast as possible. My chest feels tight and painicky, and mostly I just am freaking out inside my head. Funny thing is I love keeping small aquariums with small fish. I don't go to the city Aquarium. Lol
I am pretty afraid of large bodies of water; being in them more specifically. A public pool is OK, but I don't particularly feel comfortable in water in general. But the less of the contents of the water I can see, the scarier it is. I also cannot handle putting my head under, and I start to feel panicky around abdomen/chest level. Almost like claustrophobia. I don't swim.
Stage fright. Definitely get freaked out when I become the center of attention in front of many people. I get shakey and stuttery and I don't know what to say or do. I very much avoid being in the spotlight.

5. What hobbies do you have? Why do you like each of these activities?
Horseback riding - I love horses; everything about them. They are my dream and my passion. I love to connect with them in that silent way that you do when working with them. Everything is about body language, and about listening. When I am with my horse I feel like I am the most myself. I am completely inside and outside of myself at once. I can be completely silent, and heard at the same time.
Knitting- I like to create things. Hats, socks, scarves, gloves...most of the things I make I tend to give away. It's just fun to see things come to life on my needles. And the yarn is pretty. And in the winter; functional.
Gardening- I like plants. It feels good to watch things grow. And to feel the life of the plants in my spaces, makes me feel healthier, and accomplished. Flowers are nice.
Aquarium keeping- In the same category as gardening, as I have mostly live plants. I love to take care of animals, and to have cute little fishies in my tank is fun. It was a challenge to learn about water chemistry and keeping my tank healthy etc. I'm always learning ways to improve it. Plus it is a very relaxing and rewarding activity. To work very hard on something and it look beautiful back at you in return, feels very good.
Reading- I like reading well written novels, and articles on things I'm studying, IE homeopathy, or theology. If I had time I would be a bookworm. Somewhere in between all the above mentioned activities!!

6. Do you have any persistent thoughts, ideas or beliefs that are difficult to stop or cope with? What are they?
Maybe a persistent idea or belief is that people are thinking negatively of me because they don't understand me.

7. Do you have any unusual gestures or movements of the body? Do you feel any unusual sensation or pain throughout your body? What exactly does it feel like is happening in your body?
Not that I can think of.

8. When you experience your fears, persistent thoughts, or difficult emotions, what kind of sensation or reactions do you get in your body?
Physical symptoms if it's depression and/or stress mostly are tension and I want to ignore it and basically go to sleep. If it's an angering emotion, I'll get an adrenaline rush. My heart starts racing and I seem to think with more clarity and move faster and more freely.

9. When did you feel at your best in your life? What was that like for you? If you imagine the complete opposite of this feeling or moment, what would that be like?
The summer of 10th grade. I lived with my dad on a farm in the mountains, and I rode my horse almost every day. I felt so much energy. I was always waking up early and getting moving soon in the day, going until late in the evening and sleeping hard. It was beautiful and warm, and relaxing. I also went trail riding with a friend who had a horse too. There was a lot of bonding and just innocent kid fun. The opposite of that would be empty/black/void of meaning or positive feeling/sleep, but the worst most uncomfortable, and unsattisfying sleep imaginable.

10. Do you feel like you are stuck in a pattern of behavior, especially when trying to deal with your problems? What is this pattern? THIS IS AN IMPORTANT QUESTION PLEASE CONSIDER CAREFULLY AND GIVE DETAILS.
With regard to trying to find out what's going on with my body, I think that I seem to make some headway in thinking things through, and researching the issue and finding information, and then I try a few things and when they either stop working or have no effect, I become frantic, and then depressed, and feel hopeless, like nothing is working and I don't have any more options and I don't know what on earth to do. I don't sleep well, I'm frequently distracted at work trying to think about and figure out my next step and what symptoms I'm having today so that I can note them...and they all seem to amount to nothing.
With regard to personal/relational type problems, when I'm trying to figure them out in my head, I always obsess over the root cause/reason/excuse, and think, 'if they just understood this is the reason I did that', or, 'if this one thing didn't happen then ...'. And around and around.

11. What difficulties or problems do you have in relationships? Talk about your family, your romantic relationships, your spouse or partner, your friends, and your work colleagues. You may need to talk about all of these separately.
I think the biggest difficulty on my part is my communication in all areas. Sometimes lack of, other times maybe too much. My memory isn't that great sometimes, so I forget to say things I should, but most of the time I think I assume that people understand more than they do, because I haven't told them. I then get upset when I get a negative reaction due to their lack of information. But I don't realize this is the case until it's too late. Sometimes I tell people more than they need to know, and sometimes more than I should say, in regards to my oppinion on issues. Which tends to upset them, or push them away.
I think I find it hard to think about other people's perspectives.

12. List 5 positive things about yourself. Are there any situations where this positive attribute becomes negative (is a problem)?
Compassionate, honest, morally driven, like to make people laugh, strong-willed. My sense of moral imperatives has caused me to come off as pushy or preachy.

13. List 5 negative things about yourself. Are there any situations where this negative attribute becomes positive (is useful)?
Controlling, impatient, insecure, procrastinating, easily flustered.

14. Do you have any reoccurring dreams? Describe them in detail, including any feelings that come while dreaming. Dreams are very important in unlocking the deepest truth of a patient’s case, but it is not enough to simply describe them in a sentence. Give as much information as you feel comfortable doing.
I have in the far past, but not recently. The last I can remember is one of being separated from my husband. We began our relationship in a long distance format, and were talking on the phone every night. When he would come to visit me it was for the weekend, and it was always difficult to part. My dreams are repetative in theme; he is either gone because I've went somewhere far away without him, or, there have been a few that he has left me (relationally), in both cases I am in a state of panic and devastation and worry because I cannot get ahold of him. The phone's not working, or he 's not answering/ignoring my calls...I may be stuck where I am located, and I cannot get back to him. Usually the next day the feelings stick with me. It's a very sad desparate panicky feeling.

15. Did you have any reoccurring dreams as a child, or earlier in your life? Describe those in detail including any feelings that came with them.
After my parents divorce I would have reoccurring dreams of being trapped at my grandparents, and trying to run away from their house. I would get to the neighbors, and ask them to hide me. They would usually think it was a joke or that I was just there to hang out. Then my grandparents would show up and find me and I would be all the sudden back at their house. It was just anxiety ridden, fearful ...bleck.
I also had a reoccurring dream of a secret hidden room in my grandma's house. It was a creepy room. In my dream I would always find it, and be a little bit curious but also afraid. And I always felt that I was unlocking the answer to some mystery by finding this room and its contents.

16. What were you like as a child, your character, your personality, your fears, your dreams, your problems?
From what people have told me, and what I can remember, I was stubborn, independent, and prone to tantrums. I do remember a few of those. One was being made to go to sunday school class while my parents stayed in the sanctuary for the sermon. I wanted to stay with my dad. I remember the teacher dragging me as I kicked and screamed.
My dad tells me that when I would catch a cold I would become very sweet and wanting to be helpful. I had a walking nightmare when I was four or five- I walked myself out of my bedroom, down the hall and to the top of the stairs. I saw a woman and her teenage daughter in the rec. room, mother sitting at the computer desk, and the teenager walking away and towards the stairs. She was saying something over her shoulder like, "see you later", and I was sitting on the second to the top stair. I all the sudden looked down and there was a hole in the stair, and inside was a watery compartment full of ravenous hippo's, and they were biting at my legs. I began screaming, for my own fear, and because the teenage girl was walking towards the hole in the stairs. My dad woke me up by carrying me screaming and crying, back to bed.
I never really thought of things I wanted to be or do in life, as a child. I was basically in play/fantasy land.

17. What kind of environment did you grow up in? What problems where there at home, with your family, with your parents, with your siblings, with school?
My family was very close. Cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents..the good times were very fun...I remember my parents fighting a few times. I remember my mom having very little follow through with homeschooling, and that my dad was always working hard to support three kids and a stay at home wife. My sisters and I were always very close, until the divorce. I was homeschooled until 8th grade. That was a very hard year. I did not know how to make friends or to interact in public. Very shy, awkward, uncomfortable. Ninth grade was better.

From some reading around I found this product which might be something that could help you. I take StressCare from the same company and it worked well. This one is formulated for women and specifically Menstrual care. Trying to get my wife on it.

HimalayaUSA Menstricare [wouldn't let me post a link sorry]

Thanks for the info. I'm actually allergic to the Black Pepper Fruit extract that's listed as an ingredient in there. It's for digestive support and assimilation. It make me break out in hives :-/

Update:
So over the last few days I have been trying the recommendation of Nux Vomica 30C and Pulsatilla 30C.
I did Nux TID for three days, and I was feeling a bit better, my tiredness wasn't as bad, and my energy was definitely improved. On the first day of taking Pulsatilla I started out okay, but by the end of the day I felt heavy and extremely lethargic. I came home and had to take a nap. I slept like a comma, and I felt horrible when I woke up. I slept hard that night and did not wake up at all till my alarm. It was VERY difficult to wake up, and I felt horrible all the next day. I kept taking the Pulsatilla for the next two days and the tiredness and heavy lethargy did not improve. So on the second day of puls(yesterday) I said forget it and took another dose of Nux after my lunch. By the end of the day the heavy feeling was gone and I had awesome energy. I slept great, and this morning woke up a LITTLE bit easier. Still tired though. Morning after getting moving I had energy and felt good. I took another dose of Nux after breakfast and it seemed to bring me right back to heavy and tired. I feel sick to my stomach and a lump in my throat. Very sleepy and have been chilly all day.
I took a dose of Thuja 30C and took a bath. I fell half asleep in the bath and woke up feeling very sick... like I thought I might throw up. Anyways. That's where I'm at now. This is very frustrating.

Alright, there are two remedies here I considered, although only one seems a more 'total' remedy for you.

One is a polycrest (well known remedy) one is relatively new and not much used as yet.

Stramonium is the first, a well known remedy. There were a couple of peculiar things that lead me to believe this remedy could help you.

Fear of deep water
Fear of head being put under water
Reoccurring childhood dream of being attacked and bitten by animals (hippos)
The feeling of claustrophobia
The fear in the aquariums (ominous darkness, looming creatures)
Love of horses
Love of nature
Fear of being trapped and desire to escape (childhood dream)

If Stramonium helped but didn't go all the way, I would actually consider Calc carb as a complementary medicine.

The second remedy, a more unusual choice, is Lac equinum (horse's milk). The extremely powerful and deep connection to horses alerted me to the possibility we could look at this remedy, but then I looked through the repertory and the proving and found these symptoms (those marked with *** were strong indicators for the remedy):

Offended easily
Concentration difficult ***
Dreams of being pursued ***
Stage fright
Love of animals/pets
Love of horses
Love of nature
Anxiety over trifles
Dreams of being trapped
Dreams of escaping
Desire for vegetables
Desire for fruit
Aversion to pork

Anxious, worrier
Worry if people will like them
Mind jumps ahead and worries about the worst
Impatient, irritable, confrontational at almost every encounter
Impatient and bored
Confused, disorganized, lose track of things
Poor memory, trouble remembering facts
Mind wanders
Thoughts vanishing, fuzziness, lack of mental clarity
Frustrated and overwhelmed with everything, wants to quit and stay home doing nothing
Depressed, hopeless
Cranky when hungry
Waking anywhere between 1-4am

Anxiety when anything is expected of them
Feeling life, everything, is too hard
Disharmony in the family aggravates
Estranged from her family
Ennui, boredom
Discontented
Fuzzy, unfocussed ***, on waking

Horseback riding ameliorates ***
Impatience with boredom
Obstinate, stubborn
Quarrelsome

Waking 3 or 4 am ***

Ailments from death of parents or friends
Ailments from discords between relatives
Anxiety about health

Reading through the proving of this remedy makes me think it would be the more appropriate choice, as it actually covers much more of the case (which is often how it is with animal remedies).

Can you obtain both Lac-e 30c and 200c, preferably in liquid form (oral dosing liquid).

If you instead have pillules or pellets, you will need a small bottle and a dropper to make your own liquid dose. Mix water and alcohol into this small bottle to the ratio of 5:1. Dissolve 3 pillules/pellets into this bottle. All doses will be made from this bottle.

If you already have a liquid dose just start from step 1.

1. Hit the bottle 5 times firmly against the palm of the hand

2. Place 3 drops into 100mls of clean fresh water

3. Stir very thoroughly

4. Take 2 teaspoons out into the mouth and hold for 20 seconds, then swallow.

This is one dose and the same steps should be taken for any further doses, unless I ask you to change them in some way.

If any old symptoms reappear, or any current symptoms worsen, this is a GOOD sign in most cases. DO NOT SUPPRESS them with other kinds of medication unless you are in real danger (which is a highly unlikely reaction to a remedy).

However, if you are on regular medication it is also important that you do NOT stop taking this. Once it is determined the medicine has acted beneficially, we can look at reducing such medication if safe to do so. Regular medication in this instance is NOT defined as other homoeopathic medicines which MUST be stopped.

Let me know when you have the remedies before taking one of them (we will start with 30c).

Oh my goodness!! That really sounds like me. I did not know there was a remedy so closely related to horses. I just ordered the 30 and 200 liquid, but the only place I could find was in the UK, (I am USA) so it will be a bit before it's in my hands. I will let you know when it's here. Thank you so much!! It feels very relieving to be listened to :)

Okay, I've got the Lac-E 30 and 200C in liquid. I know you said start with the 30c, but when/how often etc should I take them? Also I did take a single dose of Nux Vomica 30c about 24hours ago, just FYI, if I should wait any certain amount of time to let that wear off. Otherwise no other remedies or medications are being taken.

Alright, I've been looking over the stramonium personality profile, and I do have a lot of things from there, too. I didn't want to admit it before because of the drastic and pretty ugly picture it seems to be, what with the psychotic behaviors lol...but the whole love/hate of light and dark and fear/fascination thing, I kind of really dislike about myself but it's there....there's this thing it mentions about staring off into a space for a long time, I do that, most particularly when people are lecturing me. There are certain times that I kind of emotionally check out and become absent and people have described me as even cold and there's just a switch that happens or it seems like my emotions get turned off. I'm not trying to be cold when this happens, but i would much rather just ignore/block out the stressful situation and be left alone in my own world. Also when I'm in an argument I just shut down and get locked up; I can't respond, and even if I wanted to I have no words, nothing comes to my mind, if it does I'm stifled by some fear of actually saying it...but mostly the only thing I feel or think inside is just a locked up screaming.
Generally as a person, I am either very blunt, or I have an irrational fear of people's reactions to what I will do or say.
Anyways, I don't think of these things in myself until it happens and I'm reminded of it. I hate this about myself very much and I don't know what to do about it. It hurts people that I care about and I want to physically reach inside myself and forcibly tear it out like a noxious weed from a garden.
I don't know what this will tell you, but I was wondering if both remedies could have a part in my personality? At any rate I have the Stram. 30 & 200c on order as well. Should be here within the week.
Let me know your thoughts on this,
And thanks.

Take one dose of Lac-e 30c. Do not take any other remedies while under treatment. Each remedy must be given time to fully manifest before deciding on the next stage of treatment. Follow the instructions given previously, take just as single dose for the moment, and let me know what has happened after 3 days.

A person may need many remedies - during the time they are seeing a homoeopath or over their lifetime. People frequently need remedies from all the various kingdoms - plant, animal, mineral. It is all about timing, paying attention to what the patient emphasizes at the time, what symptoms are most prominent.

It's fine to get the Stramonium for later, but I think it only suits a specific part of the case. Much of what you described in your last post doesn't relly belong to Stramonium, but suggests the remedy Camphor, or another remedy made from the same plant group (Magnolia family). It could also suggest a remedy from the Mollusc family.

Here's how it's been going so far.....

About 45 seconds after taking the remedy, I noticed a possible sensation in torso, I can only think of calling it "relief". Not quite relaxing, not quite physical even. But I do seem to notice a lack of tension in my spine. (Before I could not crack my back, now I can.) my hips feel looser.
Day one-
slept for 5 hours the night I took remedy, (late bedtime, work early.) but felt not even the least bit tired the next day. Had a vivid dream about my cousin (who I was close with as kids but now no contact after family splits) we were walking around what looked like a fair grounds with activity booths. We stopped at one and watched some little kids singing and my cousin says to me suggestively, "they're cute aren't they?"(Trying to suggest I decide to have kids)
There was some hectic driving around in a car and looking for my car;(I think it had been stolen) that's all I can remember.
Day two-
There's a painful sore on the left side of my tongue all day. Slept very lightly; VERY hot, can't stand the blankets except a sheet because I'm cold without it, but still too hot.
Day three-
very tired, but in a good mood. Very stiff joints and muscles in the early morning. Mind is slow; bla. Feel like I'm just going on auto pilot today. Feel physically slow towards the end of the day. Kind of dizzy-tiredness. Feel sensations in pelvic area; not sure if it's cramps but it could be. Sore on tongue almost gone. Ears have been ringing randomly...usually the left, but sometimes the right. Left breast sore, (nipple feels like cutting/stabbing pains) husband says they look puffy. Maybe I'm ovulating...???
Also, I had to take some cayenne capsules for acid reflux and bloating that had been ongoing for the last four or five days, which seems to be helping now.

(BUMP!!) :-D
Day five now, after taking Lac-E...nothing else noteworthy...all of the aforementioned symptoms seem to have subsided, except my stomach is still pretty upset. I ate some bad teriyaki chicken yesterday and that just made things much worse. Awaiting further instructions. Thanks :)

Ok it should be 7 days now. How are you feeling generally?

Evocationer 9 years ago
Generally I feel like nothing really has changed. I may be slightly more tolerant of irritations in general, and possibly sleeping a tiny bit better, but it's very hard to say; my life has been kind of wonky lately. Lots of extremely late nights, stress and even an all-nighter thrown in the mix. Not very fun.
Oh, one thing- a few months ago I had an allergic reaction to something (undetermined) and I broke out in hives internally and externally which lasted for about a week. I just started getting itchy all over again as of yesterday (Saturday) and it looks and feels like they're coming back. It is possible that I accidentally ingested whatever I did before (I think it was Goldenseal Root), or it could be an aggravation....not sure.

After sleeping for 13 hours following the all-nighter my hives/itching went away....but now (Wednesday) I'm feeling very crappy. Tired, heavy, heavy feeling on my chest, breathing is tiresome....back and neck feel achey and stiff....feels basically like I'm coming down with a cold/flu. I just want to sleep. What's next??

rom109 9 years ago
Is this a common feeling for you to have?

Evocationer 9 years ago
Yes, besides the cold/flu feeling. I meant in* my chest, not on, btw lol.
The extreme tiredness/heavy/weak feeling happens pretty often. Some days I have consistent energy, but not very often.
Also something I forgot to mention innitially, and my husband is reminding me of, I tend to be hyper-emotionally-sensitive in the morning/first half of the day. What I mean by that is that my thoughts are somewhat emotionally charged and irrational. They seem rational at the time, but by the end of the day, and about 3/4ths of the way through the day it's like my brain just switches to my normal logical clear thinking level headed ness, and I think about how I was thinking before and it just seems crazy and stupid like, "why was I making such a stink about that?!"
My husband says that he has noticed that I have always been this way, when I was on birth control it was the week before my period. When I quit birth control I went through about a month straight of just raging. And now it's more under control and I am aware and able to see the pattern.
Some mornings I'm flat out depressed, some not so much, or I will be upset over some little issue I've blown out of proportion. Other times I'm just cranky and little things that happen irritate me. But by the end of the day, it's gone.
I also notice that the more that tired feeling is present, the more depressed/emotional I get. And just to clarify, the depression tends to come seemingly as a result of the tiredness.

Hmmm....strange, Lac-e seemed very well suited to the case.

Alright, let's move through this methodically. First step is to take a single dose of Lac-e 200c. If we do not see a reaction to this, then we can move to Stramonium, but I need to assess before you do that.

Take the 200c exactly as you did the 30c, BUT I want you to hit the bottle 10 times, and only use 50mls of water.

Okay, I've been noticing some things. What's being affected is my mind. This is crazy to try to explain in writing but I'll try!!
So I have always had somewhat racing/fleeting thoughts, I forget what I just thought about a second ago, I forget the last sentence I just read, the last words in a conversation...etc...my brain usually just doesn't hold on to it, like it's moving over information too fast to retain it. BUT over the last few days I feel like my mind is slowing down. Not like dulling, but like I am actually processing information and absorbing it. It's the weirdest thing; I feel like I'm learning.
I took the 200C on Thursday night, and on Friday I was adamant all day that this was doing nothing. But by the evening I started realizing all these things and ways that I was thinking differently over.
I feel like my mind is opening up to realize the differences that I wouldn't have had time in my own head to even notice before. My reaction to stressful stimulus is not so frantic. My sister and I got into a heated text conversation yesterday, and I was able somehow to diffuse the escalating tension and react in a much more logical way.
I almost feel like thoughts and feelings are more readily being filtered through my conscience. That sounds odd, but that seems to be the cause for a lot of the things I do; I just frantically react instead of sorting things out logically.
I have a long way to go, but I think I've touched on something HUGE, and when I started to realize it I got so very excited.
Is there any dosing that could make it happen more, or faster or something??? :-D
