Severe arthritis in left front leg of old dog.
I have had success with the advice given to me on here with this dog before.A few months ago Ella had x-rays as I was convinced she had the big c in the leg as before I adopted her she had been treated for spindal cell c. But thank God it was arthritis but vet said very severe - worst than it is in her hips and knees.
She was given anti inflammatory tablets but they do not seem to have helped at all.
Please could you given me some advice on what I could give her to ease the pain and to help the limp?
Thank you.
Ella is 14/15 and I rescued her 4 years ago. She is a Collie/GSD and I adore her.

How is she behaving now
How is her thirst
Is she cold or warm
What helps with the pain e.g. warmth, cold, movement, pressure

Thank you for replying.
She still has the limp after little exercise.
She prefers cold to heat.
Thirst is normal level.
I feed my dogs raw so they automatically drink less as they get most of their fluid needs through their food.
She does not like the area of pain touched at all.
