Stiffness and Pain in Left back & Right Neck
I am suffering from Stiffness/Pain in the muscles of back. I never feel that I am mobile and always feel the stiff muscles. Muscles are more stiff on the left side of back. Pressure on the back (like sitting against the chair) aggrevates stiffness and pain. When I stand or walk for few minutes to 1/2 hr, the muscles in the front thigh area and back get very tight and give me pain when I want to sit.
Backgroud
I work in the computer field and have to sit for computer work for 7-8 hrs a day.
I was diagnosed with the herinated disc in C6-C7 area in neck in Mar 2001. This herinated disc pinched the nerve on my left side. I had the tingling and numbness sensation in left index and middle fingers. This tingling and numbness has subdued in the last couple of years.
But even now, i get the stiff neck now and then and I have to keep exercising the neck muscles strong.
I have always have these cramps in my calf muscles during my night sleep time, which I can feel even while sleeping.
I was very tense in those days which resulted in the higher cholestrol levels (217).
So I started doing running on the treadmill. But I think becuase of this running I have now injured my lower back muscles.
I went throught physiotharpy and exercise program which helped a little but not much.
Overall, I feel that I have less mobility in my body.
I like sugars (sweets) more that salty food. I like ice-cream.
I don't like cold at all, cold weather gives me headache. I like heat where I can sweat.
I don't like fatty foods and don't like my hands to be greasy.
Even though I like heat, but i like eating cold things like ice cream, ice-corn. I can eat sour food like oranges, tamric etc.
If someone in forum can help me treat my stiffness, I would really appreciate.
Thanks

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Just to add to previous notes, I would like to mention that I can not wear tight clothes, I always want to wear loose clothes. If that helps.

Take Rhus Tox 1000C, once a fortnight; no medicine 2 days before and after that;Nux Vomica 30C, twice daily on remaining days(morning and before retiring).
Buy Rhus Tox 1000C and Nux Vomica 30C,1 drachm each, liquid medicine. Mix each, seperately, in the ratio of 1 drop of medicine in 1 ounce of distilled water/non-medicinal spring water(boiled)/rain water(collected after it has rained for a few minutes)/drinking water(boiled to drive out chlorine) and shake the mixtures vigorously at least 10 times. Out of these, use 1 tea-spoonful as a dose.
Go on reducing the frequency of the doses as you feel better.
Shake,as before, every time, just before taking the next dose.
Do not put strong smelling things in the mouth e.g. raw onion, garlick, mint, smoke, tooth paste, strong tea/coffee/spices, 1 hour before and after taking medicine.
Since you are doing a sedentary job, exercise your body regulatly.
