The ABC Homeopathy Forum
Dosage Question - Sepia
First, I must begin by thanking anyone taking the time to read this. The information so graciously provided on this forum has been of invaluable help to me, as homeopathic advice here is difficult to come by (except for our vet :-)).I have been having problems with depression for the past several years. Though it has its pits and valleys, it has gotten much worse in the last few months, and I have decided finally to seek treatment. After much research on my own part, I have decided to try Sepia. I purchased 200c (recommended per one of my books) and wonder what the best dosage would be.
One book I've got recommends taking a "normal" dose and then waiting for four to five days to see if any changes occur. Yet on the bottle, the recommendation is to take four granules three times a day for two weeks.
Anyone have any advice for me? I am pretty sure I've narrowed this down to the right remedy - it's worth a try at this point - but I don't want to blow it by administering it improperly.
I should say that I'm a relative newcomer to this...only been using homeopathic remedies for five or six years now, and really only for acute problems - never something chronic, such as this.
Many thanks, and God bless you!

Dear Eliza, Sepia 200 you have selected might be useful if it is taken having a gap of three-four days between the two doses. I think, if a homoeopath recommends any homoeopathic remedy to take three or four times a day, has not attained a good knowledge during his practice.I realize that frequency of a medicine may be needed in some inavoidable circumstances but they are in very rare and acute cases. Better you try Sepia 200 maintaining a gap at least for four days between the two doses.
