Suffering from food allergies
Dear DoctorsI have been living in USA for over 10 years ago.
Over the years, I have developed food allergies towards Gluten and several types of nuts and seeds (almonds, cashewnuts, peanuts, mustard seeds, sesame seeds etc.). Also, my immunity towards these foods has seems to be worsening over the past 2-3 years.
2-3 years ago, when I ate the above foods, I used to get bloating of stomach and gas etc. However, now I have started getting diarrohea when I eat these foods.
It is becoming very difficult to eat normal food (Indian or otherwise) because of above food allergies. I have shown to a gastroenterologist who says nothing can be done as my digestion is weak.
Does Homeopathy has a cure for the above? Please advise as I am really suffering
Thanks

Please answer the following questions in a descriptive manner after careful analysis and recollection of previous experiences and happenings.
1. Describe your main suffering?
I have developed food allergies over the last few years. I developed Gluten sensitivity 3 years ago and showed to a Gastroentrologist. He suggested moving to a Gluten free diet which helped. Subsequently, I started developing sensitivity towards various types of nuts – peanuts, almonds, cashew nuts, sesame seeds, mustard seeds etc. So I stopped taking these as well. Over the past year or so, my sensitivity towards these types of foods has increased. Now, whenever I eat any of these foods, I start getting frequent bowel movements. As a result, I have moved to a completely gluten free, nut or seed free diet. It becomes very difficult to live a daily life like this.
In addition to the above, I cannot drink milk with lactose. It causes lot of gas. Also, if I eat cheese, eggplant, too much corn, I get gastric formation quickly.
2. What other physical sufferings do you have in your body?
No other major sufferings. I take the following medicines daily as prescribed by my doctor:
Metoprolol Succinate ER 25mg daily (for High BP)
Pre-vacid 15 mg daily (for acid reflux)
3. What mental sufferings / feelings do you have associated with your physical sufferings?
Like I mentioned above, I get bloated stomach, gas in the body or frequent bowel movements. It takes 2-3 days to recover once I get these symptoms. Also my job is stressful but I am able to manage the stress.
4. What exactly do you feel when you are at your worst?
At worst, I get severe gas formation in the body (bloated stomach, pain in the eyes, tiredness) and frequent bowel movements as a result of eating these foods.
5. When did it all start? Can you connect it to any past event or disease?
As described above, I started developing sensitivity towards these types of foods a few years ago. Over the years, this sensitivity has increased.
6. Which time of the day you are worst?
Nothing in particular. It can happen anytime.
7. What are the things which aggravate your suffering and which are those which ameliorate the same? I have mentioned above the things which aggravate my suffering. Anti-acidity tablets help, also if I take digestive enzymes sometimes along with food, these help too.
8. Do your think your sufferings have relation to any external stimuli (like, change of place) or any internal biological changes in the body, like, menses (in females)?
I do not think so. I have lived in USA for past 10 years now. I get stressed at times and understand that stress has a direct relation to the digestive system, however, I have learnt how to manage stress now.
9. When do you feel better, during hot weather or cold weather, humid or dry weather?
Weather does not make a difference.
10. Describe your general mental set up? Are you Moody, Arrogant, Mild, Agreeable Changeable, Nervous, Suspicious, Easily offended, Quiet, Arguing, Irritating, Lazy etc.
I think I am a mild person and have a very friendly nature. I am not moody and am able to control my emotions.
11. How do you feel before or during a thunderstorm?
It does not affect me at all.
12. Do you like being consoled during your tough times?
If someone can assure me that things will be better going forward, I feel better.
13. Are you sensitive to external stimuli like smell, noise, light etc? No
14. Do you have any typical habit or gesture like nail biting, causeless
weeping, talking to one self etc?
Yes – I tend to bite the skin around my nails. I have tried to contain myself but still do it sometimes.
15. How do you feel about your friends, family, your children and especially your husband / wife?

17. What do you crave for in food items and what are your aversions?
I like salty food like potato chips etc. I like potatoes a lot and like all types of vegetables. I do not have any major aversions – do not like okra or sweets a lot.
18. How is your thirst: Less, Normal or Excessive? Normal
19. How is your hunger: Less, Normal or Excessive? Normal
