Remedy for chronic back pain

Hi. I am looking for help finding an appropriate remedy for long term back pain. This has been on-going for about 5 years. It came on after I turned 40, gained a little weight, and began a new workout program. The workouts were great & I was able to do them, however, within 3 weeks of the new program I could not recover. I was waking up feeling like my back was so weak that I would pull it out. Since then I have done chiropractic care, physical therapy, massage and am now working with an applied kinesiologist (AK). The AK has helped tremendously but I have taken a few steps back recently and am looking for a remedy to assist with and speed up the healing process.
The symptoms are as follows:
constant ache in the low back and sacrum area
at times it feels like there is great heat in that area
the pain has been in the low back, hips, but extends to the upper back and down the legs in the IT band area and even the calves.
worse upon waking, does get better with movement but doesn't ever go away
feeling of weakness; i.e.: when I bend down to pick up a laundry basket I feel like I might pull my back out, conversely when I am going up stairs my gluteus feel weak; if I have to run or move quickly in response to something, I feel like I cannot access my strength.
I have a sensation of needing to bend forward to stretch the muscles & when I do it literally feels like the muscles are being stretched.
My sleep is significantly affected by the pain in my back. I cannot get comfortable. Our mattress felt too soft and we just got a new one with more support.
My AK has told me that much of this is the result of injuries; I was a competitive athlete as a child and teenager, had 2 major car accidents in my 20s, 2 surgeries (c-sections) in my 30s.
He feels that most of the muscle trauma I experienced as a child is what has set me up for this pain.
I am fairly healthy otherwise, a busy mom, general life stressors.
I have gained approx 15 lbs over the last few years and I believe this is contributing, however, I cannot seem to get back into a workout program because of the pain and discomfort. I have made some strides but then seem to take many steps backward.
I am concerned about my long term physical health. I desire to be active: hiking and backpacking, playing outside with my kids, kayaking, playing volleyball, walking on the beach without pain later, etc. But am unable to be active due to the pain. I feel like a race horse at the gate: there is such a strong desire to be active and workout, and I feel like I have all this energy inside me, but when I do things actively, I am in pain afterwards.
I have tried arnica 30c and used arnica rub topically.
I did a 2 week course of arnica 200c and rhus tox 200c to see if it would help. (not sure if I need to take longer).
I have also tried one dose of rhus tox 1m.
With all of these I have seen little to no change.
Any suggestions would be helpful. I am wondering if I need to try the 200c remedies for longer or if I need to take repeated doses of 1M potency.
I look forward to any ideas. Thank you.

Have you had an MRI?

Hi Simone717 - No, I have not had an MRI. I went to a orthopedic doc about 4 years ago and had x-rays. He saw a slight bulging disc but nothing more. He did not feel an MRI was necessary. I discussed the bulging with my chiropractor and he treated me accordingly.

At this point, an MRI is needed to see the actual status of what you are dealing with so accurate remedy selection can be chosen-

This site is set up for discussion and the owner lets any person who joins suggest advice. There are only a few real homeopaths on here regularly.
Dr Mohla(ashkaymohl user name)
And 0antivirus0 user name.

I would post for them in a new thread.
