inflamed finger
a neighbor had a or more wood-splinter/s from working in his finger last year. right at the roit where the finger starts.it then swell up, left a pus bump, whoch went open and appeared higher up in the finger again. after this pus bump was gone, the finger was good for a year, but now started to swell up (probably he hurt it at work, but isn't sure). It's throbbing pain and when he banged it 2 days ago at the fridge-door, the pain shot up to his shoulder for a moment.
i wanted to give ledum, but he decided to go to the clinic now and they put him on antibiotics.
2 days later (today) the finger increased in size and is alomst rwice as big. red, inflammed, and i was told "ok - i give it a try"
now i don't want to fail, as this might be a great opportunity to show this person, what homeopathy can do for him.
Ledum C30 - does that sound reasonable?

i was rethinking this and i said to myself 'yes, john is probably right, the cause was a splinter - a puncturing, but the wound is hot and not cold,..."
as a second choice i was thinking of hepar , too, and i am glad, you agree!!!

Ledum sensations would be cold, not hot and throbbing as you described it - your picture sounds much more like Hypericum.
I would give Hypericum 1M (or 200 at least) three 2-hourly (eg 1 at 12, 1 at 14 and 1 at 16 hrs)followed by SILICA 200 the same way (three 2-hourly )
Sil 200 will help push out any bitssplinters that may still be left in the finger? bring an abscess to a head and hopefully also clear out the antibiotica that he has been taking.
