I'm new to homeopathy
We have our 4th bout of strep in the house (with 5 children, this is a nightmare). An article by Joette Calabrese was sent to me. In it she gives advice about strep - "Strep Throat and Infected TonsilsHepar sulphuris calcareum 200C , twice daily until better Or, if there’s a bad taste or sores in the mouth and if saliva is copious…
Mercurious cyn 200, twice daily. If pain is severe, add Belladonna 6 or 3."
I bought the Hepar sulphuris calcareum 200C, but her directions are vague for someone like me. One pellet twice a day? 5 pellets twice a day?
Would someone be able to direct me where I can find more information please?

Yes size of the dose is not that important. But some would say it's important to take five or so pills. I have changed from my former recommendation of three pills to one or two now, mostly I advice one pill or a drop. Especially if a medicine is going to be repeated more than once, I think one pill or a drop is adequate as a dose. The next point would be about the duration. That depends on how soon the complaint gets better, sensitivity of the patient etc. Rough thumb of rule is one can use between four and ten doses without much trouble.
Though we haven't spoke, I know Joette from the days when there was a news breakout of lead poisoning in flint, michigan a few years ago. We did what we could in our own capacity. Her advice of remedies seem on target. I generally advice between Bell 200, Hepar 200 and Merc sol or viv 200 with most cases helped with either one or more of them.
