Severe Anemia

I am 83 years old male

A few weeks back I had uneasiness in my chest. I consulted cardiologist. He advised blood tests, ECG and ECHO.

ECG and ECHO were within normal limits but blood report was very alarming. My normal HB used to be 15 but it has fallen to 8. Platelets from 240 to 80 and TLC below 100.

I am symptomatic. Dengue and Malaria have been ruled out.

Today I consulted Hematology. After studying my CBC, he opined Severe Anemia and has advised biopsy of bone marrow. That would be long procedure.

Can you please advise remedies to reduce severity of anemia.

1. Ferrum Metallicum 30- Pills
6pills in the morning in empty stomach
2. China Officinalis 30- Pills
6pills in the evening in empty stomach

Continue these and make a test after 7 days and give feedback

Thanks for your advice.

I am regularly taking Ferrum Met 30 and China 30 as advised by you.

Yesterday's blood test revealed little change in CBC but my ESR has risen to 104.

Such a high ESR implies very high degree of inflammation in the body as if there is fire on.

Please advise how to cool down ESR while continuing your treatment with Ferrum Met and China.

Today I received biopsy report of my marrow bone.

Based on the report, the hematologist opined that -

" It looks like drug induced marrow suppression"

Please advise treatment for neutralizing drug induced marrow suppression. May be once normal health of marrow bone is restored, complete blood count would return to normal.
