14 year old son ADHD and ticks

Hi
My 14 year old son has been diagnosed with ADHD. however, he is not hyper. He has difficulty concentrating in school. When he is interested in a subject he does well with little effort. He did have ticks (eyes, grunting, nodding head), but we have not seen them in a year. He has an allergy to peanuts and as a young child severe eczema ( a homeopath and naturopath helped to effectively reduce it) He still gets small patches of eczema when he eats too much sugar.
At school, he feels he is not smart and will not make an effort. There are days he tries to refuse to go to school in tears. Teachers at school reports they feel he is depressed (this is not his behavior at home) He states that his teachers don't like him. He wants to do well but will not even try because he is afraid to fail. When I discuss homework he immediately gets angry and defensive. I have noticed he repeats certain phrases over again almost ritualistic when saying goodbye or goodnight (up to 5 times when saying these phrases).
I would really appreciate any help you can give for him to have some concentration, motivation and self confidence at school. Thanks you in advance for your help

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
The problem may be on account of suppressed eczema. You can give him one dose Sulphur 200 to see if it is so. If the eczema comes out the current problem will go away. Then you can get his eczema treated.
