Long term root canal infection

Had a root canal done 15+ years ago on second to last molar upper right. Became infected a few years after at least 10 years ago. Went through a period where it abscessed several times and has stopped doing that. At my dentist recent appointment I was told I have an infection and should go see a periodontist. The last molar next to it had a piece break off and as the dentist was putting a crown on it said there is an infection on that one too and we will watch it, put the crown on anyway (getting a new dentist). So I have had a root canal infection for over 10 years and a new bacterial infection on a tooth that has no root canal. Is there anything I can do to clear up this ling term infection and the new one other than going to see a periodontist? Thank you.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
SILICEA 30 FIVE PELLETS/DROPS IN AN OUNCE OF WATER THREE TIMES A DAY.

RINSE MOUTH WITH A PINCH OF POTASH ALUM THREE TO FOUR TIMES A DAY.

FEEDBACK EVERY 4 DAYS.
