melasma

I just finished reading the posts from the archives regarding melasma.

I too have this problem, though very mild comparatively.

I have one dark spot just above my upper right lip which goes up to the base of my nose, and also some red discoloration on the other side of my nose at the base which looks like it is trying to turn dark too, argh!

I plan to up my vitamin C....I know in the olden days that they would squirt lemon juice on skin discolorations to fade them, but I have not tried it nor any other creams for fear of making it worse.

Any other suggestions for treating this?
I have a light complexion, sensitive skin, dark brown hair and eyes.
Thanks,
S

Hello
If you can't find a remedy that works for you, try Concha Nacar No. 3. It costs under $5. Do a search engine. In the past I found a forum where women were raving about this product and how fast it worked for them.

Total Block tinted SPF 60 or clear also works to get rid of brown spots.

Some people believe they are caused by a hormonal imbalance and the sun exposure brings out the brown spot condition (most likely if they appear on the cheeks and forhead)

Thank you, but I am unable to use anything derived from any type of shell-fish or contaminated (impure forms of herbs) by shells or shell-fish. I use only plant/herb (non-contaminated) remedies due to a kosher diet.
I read that sulpher would help ???
I'm also still breastfeeding my 9mo. old son, so don't want to take anything that might have adverse effects on him--may just have to be patient and wait until he is weaned.....
Thanks,
Steph.

There are no chemicals in homeopathy and as far as I understand, homeopathy is safe to use during pregnancy.

Some of these spots may even disappear after you are through breast feeding. They may be harmonal related.

Homeoopathic remedies only contain the essence or the energy of the original ingredient used to make the remedy. There are no chemicals left in it.

It is possible that by using this remedy, your allergy to shell-fished might be deminished if not dissapear completely.
