Bad Eye Habits

Hello, my 7 yr old son has problems with his eyes. He had developed a very bad habit of involuntary eye movements. It started a few months back. Before he would take a bite of food he would look up and to the left. After a few days it was up and to the right. We mentioned it a few times out of concern and he would get totally upset. We left it alone as not to bring attention to it. It lasted about 3 weeks and then went away for about one week. Now for the past two months it has returned and is worse than ever. He now first looks straight down and then rolls his eyes to the left. He does this all the time. The other night at soccer he could not make eye contact with his peers as he was too busy rolling his eyes. Other kids have picked up on this and are starting to tease him. When we ask why, he says he doesnt know and he cant stop. I can sympathize with him because I have a mild eye twitch of my own (squint) and my sister has had issues like this for years also(opens eyes wide). I took him to the Optomitrist today to rule out eyesight problems. Everything is perfect with his vision. Can someone offer any suggestions.

Thank you in advance,
Jay

Anyone? Please?

Hi,

It is clear that your son's eyes are perfect. The cause is nervousness, nervous tension. You better visit a qualified homeopath with him soon. In my youth, my younger brother showed behavior like your son. It got worse from year to year. After he felt asleep, he banged his head against the bed. Some times he murmured for long times. He twisted his head rapidly. All those behaving were caused by nervousness.

Regards, Sjaak

Does anyone else think that this remedy may help?
I underastand that this is a Biochemic remedy and Im not sure the difference between this and Homeopathic. I did check the material Medica on this remedy and one thing that jumps out that I forgot to mention before is that he is anemic as well. Some of the other characteristics could fit but nothing really jumps out as bang on.

Please, any thoughts????????

Try Belladonna in lowest available potency, one dose a day. Then report after a week.

girilal last decade
Alot of things match with Belladonna. I will try the 30c for a week and get back to you.

It mentions anemia in the Materia Medica. I wonder does homeopathy have an answer for anemia or do I conitue to give him an iron supplement for many years.?

Finally I have a plan!!!!

to Girilal,

Today is day 6 of Treatment with Belladonna. We are home from holidays tonight and leaving again in the morning for a few more days.

I have been giving my son Belladonna 30ch once per day (in a wet dose). No improvment but his eye movements have seemed to change a little. There is less rolling of his eyes but more hard blinking. Example- he may do three quick blinks then one long hard blink. I think he is rolling his eyes during the long blink. He definetely does this all the time but at night time when he is tired he cant look at you as he is too busy blinking and rolling his eyes. Please if you have any other suggestions I would be greatful. I believe I will have access to the internet sometime during the week but defietely will through tonight and into the morning.
Thanks again,
Jay

Also check if he blinks his eyes when his mind is racing? Does he sleep well at nights or he is jumpy. Please try Belladonna in lowest available potency or even Belladonna Q one drop.

girilal last decade
Thank you for the quick reply. I dont think he does it when his mind races. It happen all the time. Worse while eating.
He sleeps well and I dont believe he is jumpy.

I will try a Belladonna 6ch or ask about the Belladonna Q (not heard of this before).

If I get a 6ch is a wet dose suficient?

Jay 15 last decade
Does he complain of any discomfort, do you feel his eyes stay dry. When he cries does he tears?

girilal last decade
He says they dont hurt. He doesnt know why he does it. His eyes definetely tear up when he cries. Im not sure if are dry, is there any drops that we could try as well. He does rub them alot.

Jay 15 last decade
Does he rolls eyes side way or up down.

girilal last decade
sideways

Jay 15 last decade
If his eyes stay calm during sleep. Any other twitching or nerve problem.

girilal last decade
When his eyes are in movement, is he in his own world at that time...

girilal last decade
Then does he listens to you and responds or you have to wake him up.

girilal last decade
no, I do not believe so. Yesterday we were watching neighbour clean fish and he could stop blinking long enough to see what was going on. It really happens all the time.

Jay 15 last decade
Just try to observe if he is watching his favourite program on TV still he blinks. I won't rush in this case but get back to you tomorrow.

I still recommend you the lowest potency of Belladonna. or Q to start.

girilal last decade
Yes when he is watching his favourite show he still blinks, When he is sleeping his eyes are calm.

Please, is the wet dose sufficient if I have to get the 6ch?

Jay 15 last decade
He may have scratches on his cornia so try lubricating eye drops to diagonose it. Visine etc are available OTC.

girilal last decade
I never thought of that. I will get some first thing in the morning along with Belladonna Q. I took him to the optomitrist last week. Should he not have seen this?

Wet dose?

Jay 15 last decade
Unable to find Belladonna in anything less than a 30ch. Did find homeopathic eye drops that contains Belladonna 6. Will use this regularily and will report back on Sunday after we return from holidays. Thanks again Girilal.
