I am 43 yo and my mother's mother raised me because after my mother gave birth to me she was unable to care for herself. My grandmother lived to the age of 81 and her medical history was rhematoid arthritis diabetes and hypertension.

Rereading your history...your problems started when you were 20 years old, right? 1)Did something happen when you were 18?
2) Did something happen before the onset of your ailments (at around 20)?
3) Do you know what did happen to your mom before the onset of her MS?

The answers to those questions can be very obvious or not. Look for a change in beliefs or attitudes, or attitudes behind a change in behaviour.
