how important to son --is having milk? what way does he take it?cold-boiled-..etc

when did "..Wants to eat anything he sees other people eating.." start?

when did ".. Running nose with watery discharge (every five minutes) and some lachrymation from the eyes too.." start?

what other changes observe concerning stool and frequency?

Having milk is important. It is his primary diet. Besides we have observed bloating with other foods too.

He usually takes it boiled and then cooled in the refrigerator. But during the fever we prefer giving him warm milk. We are also adding some boiled water to milk (only during this fever) to make it easy for him to digest that.

Nose is running since yesterday fornoon (before sulph). Discharge from nose is not much though he asks to get it cleaned every five/ten minutes. Lachrynation started today morning and is very scanty.

Overall appetite is somewhat less than normal -- but not as low as usually is during fever. This is since the beginning of the fever. What surprises us is that he wants to eat even when his stomach is bloated and he is viibly in a difficult situation.

Stools -- two yesterday. First one constipated. Second one like small balls. No stools today morning.

As suggested -- will keep bell 200C ready for SOS if high fever.

In case the pulse rate is high (accompanied with bloating of stomach) but the fever is not high -- Should he be given bell 200C or do you suggest some other medicine.

Dear Puneet
As I have experienced with my own kids:-

Take "heeng bandhani" ie. aestephotida powder from Indian shop. Roast in pan to fluff. Mix in water to make a watery paste and apply externally around the navel area. It immediately takes care of gas as well as other anamolies of the digeative track. Also helps in constipation.

If nothing else seems to help, you could give this a try. This tip is from my mother-in-law as well as the midwife who used to take care of my oldest son.

good luck

Fever down most of the time yesterday.

Bloating after taking food/fruits/water still happens but to a lesser extent. We have not given him any milk/curd yesterday.

Temperature rises temporarily as the stomach bloats. But since yesterday sweat comes along with the temperature rise and this makes the temperature fall in half hour duration. No dry heat.

Milk has been substituded with fruits/vegetables/bread. When should we start giving him milk again?

Can he be given some curd with the meals?

how frequent is there urging to stool?

John Stanton last decade
Only once, yesterday he asked his mother to take him to the toilet. He sat on the comode -- did not pass stools.

Day before, he passed stools twice. First time constipated (hard -- scanty). Second time he had urged only for passing urine. Passed stools when he was made to sit for some time.

how much mucous envolved with cough and otherwise?

how is appetite today?what foods drinks preferring?

John Stanton last decade
He is not thrownig out any mucous from mouth while coughing.

He asks for milk which we are not giving. Asked for sugar (brown). Also had Indian bread and cereals. Appetite was on the higher side today too.

Also asked for lemonade (not given). He is taking water in good quantity.

Passed stools twice today. First stools were normal. Second time -- gas and watery stools -- small quantity.

Fever rose in the night.

Bell 200C dose was given to keep it down.

Lots of perspiration in the morning. Fever is low (99.5) but still there.

No stools in the morning. Last stools watery/scanty (yesterday noon). Lots of cough.

Had full meals yesterday night for dinner.

Fever did not rise after taking the meals. Though the stomach bloated. Stomach was still bloated when he went to sleep
(after 45 minutes of food). Bloating subsided in the morning.

Also see previos post.

what is today's status?

John Stanton last decade
Bloating has totally subsided. Fever has also completely subsided.

Was very emotional about having milk in the evening (before going to sleep). He was given diluted milk (as the fever is anyway over). No fever after milk -- Slight bloating.

Only cough remains. That too is getting better.

The fever has totally subsided now. I plan to write to you his detailed history and symptology tomorrow.

what is current symptomology?

Developed cough and cold after he had some potato chips and other junk food at some birthday party this friday.

On Monday he again had fever. Fever was low (99F) and we ignored it thinking that it is because of cold. Yesterday morning (Tuesday) at around 10:00am the fever rose to around 101F. The pulse rate was much more (160).

We got concerned and took him to a qualified local homeopath. He gave him a dose of Calc Carb 1M. After an hour of taking the dose the childs arms/legs became warm and the fever on the head came down (to about 99.5F).

As in the earlier fever, the child had bloated stomach. Had a good appetite and was quite chirpy (more than usual).

The local homeopath had suggested another Calc Carb 1M dose after 8 hours, which we have not given. He also prescribed to follow Calc Carb 1M with some Tuberculinum 1M (??). We have not given these doses too,

As suggested by you, we did not give him milk yesterday. But the child cried very bitterly for want of milk in the evening. So we gave him some warm diluted milk. Fortunately the fever did not go up. During the night the fever receded and right now he looks normal (pulse rate 125).

ok.....

He is running fever again.

Passed stools thrice in the morning -- small amount -- with lots of gas -- color normal. Had a vomiting at noon. Vomiting came with some (gastric) sound from the stomach. Also had eructations just before vomiting. Had two more vomitings later -- slept in between the vomits (was not restless). Was given ipecac 30C. Had one vomiting after the dose and after that started running high fever. Pulse rate 160.

He was given bell 200C after two hours of Ipecac. Had another vomitting after the bell dose. Fever did not recede with belladona. After one hour he was given Calc Carb 200C. Fever came down somewhat after 10 minutes of the dose. Right now pulse rate is 150 and the child is sleeping.

In the morning he had some slices of fresh white coconut. He probably took more than he is capable of digesting.

For the past few days, the child is grinding teeth while sleeping. He also regularly turns around 180 degrees while sleeping (head where the feet should have been). The child also likes to sleep with the jacket on -- cries if we try removing it. Still has some gap left in the fontanels.

Yesterday night he had some cough and woke up twice because of that.

There is no bloating on the stomach.

puneet last decade
He is refusing to eat anything since noon -- after having ipecac dose.

Not taking much of water too -- though he asked for it a couple of times.
