cystic acne desperate!!!! my chin needs your help!

I'm a 29 yr old female with a history of moderate acne. Over the years the whiteheads/blackheads have decreased but the cystic acne has increased. I usually have the worst flare ups a week before my period (which have always been painful/cramps)I have, and they are usually 2-5 large cysts that appear on my chin (although recently I have been getting smaller cysts in other places on my cheek and above the lip). They are painful and if I leave them alone they will take a very long time to go down. If I try to pop them they will drain clear liquid and become flat, then they will scab up, and then once the scab falls off it will leave a discoloration, but does not pit.
I have tried topicals from the derm but they don't work for the cystic flare ups. The dermatologist wants me to use antibiotics or accutane. I have tried the antibiotics and they help a bit but I don't want to take them every month for obvious reasons.
I really need to find help for this- I feel like I can't even leave the house half the time...I even took a day off from work last week- my skin was so bad.

Any advice would be SO greatly appreciated- I am willing to try anything at this point!

I have found great help in using the arnica 30c in the wet dose for my cystic acne. Of course, not all remedies work the same for all people, but it is working for myself and my girlfriend, with other benefits as well. Also don't use soap for washing, use baby shampoo.

Please be advised that I am not, at all, going against what Dr. deoshlok has prescribed. I've also had success in the past with sulpher and have heard of others having help with graphite. I am not a homeopathic Dr., but Dr. Deoshlok is. Dr. Deoshlok is a very good homeopathic Dr. as well.
While learning about homeopathy, it is fact that remedies do seem to suit personalities and one should never give up on finding the correct remedy for themselves.
Cystic acne is very upsetting, so don't give up, because pharmaceuticals will never have the curative and safe effect that homeopathy will.
Good luck,

thanks for your suggestions. I actually just started working with a chinese herbalist/accupuncturist several weeks ago and she has prescribed a course of herbs to be taken 2x daily for 9-12 weeks. I have also been seeing her every week for accupuncture. I must say my skin has improved considerably. It is steadily clearing so I will stick with it for the full course and see what happens. I will report back and let you know, but so far I am confident.
thanks again

Your welcome Anne, I do hope this helps you. There are many ways to help ourselves naturally and they all have their good points. I started on herbs and supplements some years ago and do still use some. The only problem there is that sometimes they're allot to keep up with and can get costly. I guess I got lucky in my success with arnica, but I'm still searching and learning about the many remedies in homeopathy and their successes. Acupuncture is a great thing as well, i've seen that help many people.

That'll be really great if you come back and let people know about what was successful and what wasn't. I always look forward to hearing results from people, it really helps in the learning process.
Best of luck to you,

What worked for me is very simple - water!!! For years I've had the same problems as yourself. I made sure I drank 8 to 10 glasses a day that were not taken with my daily meals (so as not to interfere with digestion of food).

This is hard to do - to remember, to count, but the results are really worth it! I think the reason why water is so important is because it cleanses the toxins in our body which is what causes these impurities to have to get out through our skin.

My pains lessened considerably -monthly and now I take calcium tablets for that so I can still go to work and now its more of a discomfort than a pain (this method works slowly) - if you can find faster ways to cleanse your insides then the sooner your face will clear!!!

Eat healthy, drink green tea to substitute for water and all the more the condition will improve dramatically! I was not helped at all by my derma and all the globs and globs and oodles of lotions she gave me. This worked and it's free!!!

Acne on the chin is usually hormonal, perhaps you should look into hormonal treatments.
and i know this is not homeopathic, but i just have to say, I am on accutane and is wonderful, i highly recommend it for acne that won't respond to other treatments. my skin is now completely clear.
