Hi Rajiv,

I still feel the same anxiety when I'm around people and before having to speak, etc. I really haven't seen any improvement in my emotional state in any kind of aspect, not just the anxiety. Physically, I still tremble when especially anxious (I must say that this is during and after a situation, not before), and still get loose stool (and butterflies in stomach) in anticipation of a situation and also feel I need to urinate more when anxious about an event. My skin is the same, everything is the same as it was.

About the thirst: I am often dehydrated but I don't really have any thirst. I find drinking room-temperature water doesn't hydrate me, whereas I can have a small amount of cold water (a sip or two)and feel satisfied. To summarise: I am more of a thirstless person.

Rajiv, I would like your opinion on something: As I mentioned in my first few posts, I have been given different remedies (from naturopaths) for my constitution and skin/emotions over the last couple of years(Nat mr, Mag mur, Silica, CALC FLUOR, and more), and I have not seen changes at all after any of these remedies. I hear anecdotally from other people who have taken remedies and they report remarkable changes and improvements. Are some people more responsive to homeopathics or should the remedies work the same on everybody as long as the remedy is correct?

Thanks Rajiv,
Anna.

Dear Anna,

Yes.Some people are more sensitive to homeopathic remedies and some are less. The reason is that these are energy medicines and work at the level of the 'prana' or 'vital force' or the 'subtle body' that each individual has.

I hope that you are shaking the bottle hard 10 times before each dose as i suggested. Now, i think that if Gelsemium has not worked, we will try another well known anxiety remedy which i had thought initially about, but later changed in favour of Gelsemium because of some symptoms that you gave.I hope that you are not eating or drinking something for half an hour before and after taking the remedy. Also you are not using camphor or other such strong smelling things quite often.Clarify these things. If there are no problems in this regard then what i write below may be applicable to you.

May be you need Argentum Nitricum. So i suggest that you order Argentum Nitricum LM1 and LM2.In the meanwhile, till the new remedy arrives, increase your dosage of the Gelsemium to three teaspoons (15 ml) for each dose.Sometimes increasing the quantity of the remedy taken causes a reaction.

Another thing that you may try is to add a few (2 or 3 drops or globules) to the remedy solution bottle to ensure that there indeed is remedy in the bottle.Sometimes a globule which is not sufficiently impregnated by the remedy is used by ill luck.So doing this will take out that possibility.

Hi Rajiv,

Yes, I am taking the remedy exactly as you described, am not eating or drinking anything before/after and am not using any strong-flavoured things (like mint) hours before and after I take the remedy. I take the remedy first thing in the morning when I wake up.

I will order the arg nit LM1 and LM2, and let you know once I get them. I will add a few drops of the Gelsemium LM1 to the solution bottle I am currently taking.(I shake it hard like you said before I take the remedy).

Thankyou Rajiv, I will keep you posted on how I am going and when I receive the Arg nit.

Anna.

Dear Anna,

It seems you are used to taking mint. You do not take it at the time of taking the remedy, but you do take the mint.Is it correct?

If that is the case, it may explain why medicine is not acting.Mint or any other strong smelling thing like peppermint, menthol etc. is capable of antidoting the remedy. So, please do not take mint or any such thing while on homeopathy.

I sometimes have a mint lolly or a chocolate with mint cream or something like that. But i will not have anymore.

Thanks, Anna.

Hi Rajiv,

I received arg nit LM1 and LM2 today. Could you let me know how I should take them? I have continued to take the Gelsemium up to this point, but have not experienced any changes with it.

Thanks,

Anna.

Could you recommend a good book about homoeopathic dosing? I would like to find out more about when different potencies are used, in particular LM?

Anna.

Dear Anna,

Stop Gelsemium.Give a break of two or three days, then start taking Argentum Nit. LM1 just as you were taking Gelsemium.

Report after two weeks.Do not take mint etc.
