The ABC Homeopathy Forum

tinnitus

I have tinnitus for 2-3 weeks now in the right ear. It comes from stress. I am doing more yoga this week (2 times a day for 20 minutes) plus 30 minutes meditating in the morning. I have cancelled all apointments for this week including work. I haven't started any homoepathy yet. I have started Bush Fuschia - Australian Bush Essence 3 days ago. It is a little quieter now the tinnitus.

The tinnitus is more apparent at night when I try to fall asleep. Music does not drown the noise out. I manage to sleep but I wake up usually at 3:30 am and have a difficult time to fall back alseep for then the ringing is really loud.

During the day, I hear it if I am working alone. THe music in the background or the noise from the dischwasher or refrigerator does not drown out the noise. It is a high pitch rining or more like a whistle in my right ear. Some how I feel like it is electricity running at the back top of my head.

I am also dizzy. I can feel dizzy just by moving my eyes. The room is not spinning it just feels like my feet are not firm on the ground. This dizziness I know. It comes from fear and anxiety. The dizziness is just stronger now.

I always feel dizzy after working on the computer.

My left ear feels closed up. Generally I don't feel anything in the throat or lympth but around 5 in the evening it feels warm below the left ear and perhaps the lympth swollen. I hear a bit of crackle in the left ear when I swallow but not very much. The crackle is much more when I have a cold. The right ear, the ear with tinnitus, does not feel clogged or stuffed. In the morning the ear is a bit wet and wax or something builds up near the entry of the ear. This wet feeling has been going on for several months since MAy. THis ear is often itchy also since May.

The right lympth nodes behind and below the ear are constantly swollen for several years now. I had my tonsills removed when I was 3 or 4 years old.

I am sensitive to salt and sweet things even though I crave sweets all the time.

No headaches.

I am female, 41 years old, mother and teacher.
no operations.
broke my left femur when I was 10.
very stiff in the neck.
I where a splint in the mouth at night for TMJ.

Anything else you need to know.

So, if anyone has some suggestions as to what I can take, I welcome them. Thanks.

Hello Dr. Sharma,

Thanks for taking interest in my situation. I am going crazy with this tinnitus. It is very hard to sleep which makes this whole thing so difficult.

1. Name I will use my identity I use on the forum - Loewe Janick
2. Age - 41
3. Sex - female
4. Married/Unmarried - married 10 years.
5. weight - 69 Kg
6. Height … 175 cm
7. country - germany
8. climate - raining with occassional snow 8 - 10 degress celsius at the moment.
9. List of your complain first 1. tinnitus in both ears but more dominant in the right ear. Sometimes I am not sure if I have tinnitus in the left ear. Started I think on the 30 October 2006. I was first aware that the tinnitus is there during the day on 1 November 2006 2. tremendous irritability where everything seemd to bother me. I reacted with screaming and throwing things around the house. There were 2 events one on the 24 October 2006 (I was worried about being late for the school bus which would mean I would be late for work. My duaghter could not find her shoes for school. I was screaming at her and just running around all out of control. We got in the car and I drove her to the bus stop. I screamed the whole way there so loud and so out of control. This behavior is so unlike me) and the second event on the 26 October 2006 (I left my daughter at home in the afternoon alone while I went 15 minutes away to a short meeting. I returned in an hour. She was allowed to watch TV while I was away. TV time is restricted to 3 one-hour session per week. I don'T like it if she watches so much TV. When I returned, I asked her to turn off the TV. She started to whine and begged to watch one more show that would start then. I got so angry. I hate being in the this conflict - telling her no. So instead of just saying 'no', I screammed 'no' and went off on her about hw she watched too much TV and she doesn't respect the TV rules. I got so worked up that I unplugged the TV and tried to bring it to my car to throw out. The TV was too heavy to move.) I also havve been very irritable with the children I teach. I have not had such outbursts that I have described above but certainly felt irritated by them and then I bring that frustration home. 3 …… nervous. In general I am a nervous person. It is hard for me to relax. Usually I am patient and caring but also nervous. This nervousness has increased alot since beginning of October 2006. Too many things to do and no proper time nor proper place to work. I became more and more nervouse. I would drink more coffee 3- 4 cups, normally I drink 1 cup a day. In the evening I would then drink a beer or 2 glasses of wine to get rid of my unsatisfied situation. Then I would go to bed early and sleep 8 - 10 hours. I seem to always feel tired.
10. Since how long you are suffering for each complain - answered above
11. Diabetic or non Diabetic - non-diabetic
12. Desire sweets/sour/salt - desire sweet, sometimes I desire salt but my tongue can't take too much salt. The mouth and tongue feel very rough and dry after eating salty things.
13. Thirst - lots of thirst. I drink at least 2L water per day, usually carbonated water.
14. Tongue - white layer with red points coming through
15. Current BP (without medicine and with medicine)- I don't understand this question
16. What exactly is happening ? The tinnitus is a static noise like the noise one hears when the radio station in not correctly in tune and then included with this noise is a high-pitched buzz or whistle. It sound like my computer monitor. It is constantly there. it is hard to sleep mainly because I feel panic with this noise. I am afraid it will get worse and afraid it will not ever go away. Now I am very impatient.
The left ear feels stuffed up although no signs of a cold. Often I feel quite warm in the face and lymphs in the neck around 17:00. THe right ear feels stuffed up only when I get up int eh morning. Half hour later is feels very open. It is usually a bit damp with wax, i guess, coming out. The right ear is often itchy. NOthing helps to relieve the itchiness. I do use my finger to stop the itchiness. I usually get a flake of this dried wax of whatever it is. My experience has been that when wax comes out in general it is a chunk and not a flake. THe color of the flake is a little bit yellow.
17. How do you feel ? I am afraid.
18. How does this affect you ? I panic. I cry alot. I am still on edge but no explosions like what I have described above.
19. How does it feel like ?
20. What comes to your mind ? I guess the tinnitus is telling me to listen to my inner voice. Life was too much and I didn'T stop. i kept puching on and now I have this tinnitus. Oh, If only I could go back in time and do it different.
21. One situation that had a big effect on you ? The 2 situations I have described above effect me quite a bit. I feel very guilty about treating my daughter this way. I cry when I think about those 2 events - screaming in the car and wanting to throw the TV out. I feel guilty but also afraid. Afraid I will go crazy.
22. How did that feel like ?
23. What sensation do you experience in that situation ?
24. What are you showing by that gesture of your hand.(habits or Action) ? now I am trying to relax. I haven't been to work this week. I have had 2 accupuncture sessions. So far no change. I try and do some yoga breathing exercises. That helps to calm me. I also lie down with music and try to bring energy and peace to my body. I exercise more too.
25. current medicine you are taking - since the Tinnitus has started I have been using St. John's Wort, Baldrian, Gingko, Australian Bush Essence.
26. family back ground - what do you mean here. I am the eldest of 3 children. My parents are still married. I grew up in the US and my parents are immigrants from England and IReland. I am now an immigrant in Germany. I am married to a German.
27. qualification of patient - 2 Master's degrees 1. Education 2. Linguistics
28. Nature of working - I teach English to children 7-9 years old
29. desire or like and dislike of food - I love chocolate, sweets, pizza, broccoli and beans.
I really dislike turnips
30. Name of foods which increase your problem - there are no foods that increase the tinnitus but in general I have a hard tim digesting ice-cream
31. Mind-behavior, anger, irritability, hurry, impatient…and so.. on and how you are peculiar from other person, public speaking or not , you can describe all the detail about behavior, love and affection.
32. Aggravation (increases-time, season,)& Amelioration (Decreases)
33. Attached here your photographs of the affected area.

I hope this information gives you something to work with. I look forward to your response. Thank you!!

Hi Lowewe

Similar remedy

single remedy

single(minimum) dose

are the fundamentals of homeopathy.

All doses taken till a reaction is established, either aggravation or amelioration is considered a single dose.

In case, you get aggravated ,say, within a week, you have to stop the medicine and observe response.

You have to stop the medicine, once you get appreciable amelioration, whenever it happens.

Another instance, when you have to stop the medicine, is when you get new symptoms, which you had never before. This is an indication that it is a partially indicated remedy, and if those symptoms are troublesome, the medicine has to be antidoted.

My two cents for your benefit.

You please read three threads on this forum.

Dr.Luc's article on Pseudo homeopathy

The theory of suppression.

why to follow guidelines

They keep floating around on the opening page of the forum. Look for them.

Murthy do not confuse the patient. Dr. Sharma is a qualifed and able physician. You do not have any medical qualifications.

No sense in gaining name, fame and game in advocating your imaginations here.

Re: My personal experiences in treating alcoholics.
From dr mehmood on 2006-11-10

What I see is very sad events took place on this series. Also what Mr. Murthy said about Pharmacopeias is baseless. No book contains the exact and strict procedure to make any homeopathy medicines or any one medicine in the world. Homeopathy Pharmacopeias and PDR's contain a list of medicines and are merely the suggestions by authorities to use a certain minimum dilution to protect general public. Manufacturers use their own discretion to manufacture the medicines. Mr. Murthy has dragged this issue on baseless childish way to thwart the efforts of kuldeep to share some knowledge with public. His intentions are clear that if he does not like a person, he would not let that person do anything constructive on this website.

It is apparent that a premeditated, deliberate and malicious attempt is made by Mr. Murthy to fill two very informative threads with his brand of hate propaganda. His intention to solicit in these thread is to devalue and degrade its contents and to make a name for himself.

Murthy, shame on you. If this is a way to gain fame here, you are in a wrong direction.

I think you should be cautious.

I am addressing the patient.

You are adressing me on a patient's thread, and copying and pasting all irrelavant material.

Hi Gavini and Kuldeep,
I am not sure what to make of all this. It is clear I cannot rely on you all for a decent opinion.

Dr. Sharma,
Thanks for your reply. I have received several opinions aside from the this forum as to what I should do and what to take. I will let you know I decide in the end.
Thanks.

Loewe,
I am no homeopath. I just came across this link while searching for something totally unrelated but it may benefit you (while the callous souls fight over non-essentials... an ego, uncontrollable while protecting their pseudo identities must be really scary in person)

just one request please do post your findings so it may help others seeking relief...
