Nat. Mur. next step/dosage
My constitutional remedy is Nat. Mur., which I started to take 4 months ago for headaches during my periods. It seems to improve the headaches so far. I started with potency #6, 4 pellets a day dor 2 months with good results. At my next visit to the homeopath I was supposed to continue #6 until the benefits subside. I misunderstood because I started to take #12, 4 pellets a day, a week after that visit. After 3 weeks on #12, I started to have strong heart palpitations. I stopped the remedy until the palpitations subsided (took 4 days). She decided to "plus" twice the remedy # 12, every 2 days. So I did for a week and plussed the remedy once the next...and palpitations returned. Stopped again on Oct 2nd and the heart palpitations are better but still there especially when I go the bed, laying down. What could be the next step? I am baffled and my homeopath is not talking much! Thanks!salem on 2004-10-15

Thanks Murthy for your reply! Can Nat. Mur. induce high blood pressure? Got tested last week with 156/100. I am going to the doctor next Monday.

The common mistake we make is unnecessary repetetion,and spoil the action of the well chosen remedy.
Another common mistake is to change the medicines,very frequently.
If you stick to one medicine,without unnecessary repetetion, for three weeks, minimum,it really helps.

Well spoken, Murthy. I appreciate your knowledge. I also read that Nat. Mur. cannot be repeated too often,without the use of inter-current remedy. Is it true? And what does it mean?

Headache and heart palpitaion are common to many medicines.
Need to give many more symptoms for some-one to analyse ur case.
Meanwhile, start taking Kali Phos 6X four tabs four times a day (bio - chemic) until you post more symptoms and analysis is done.

What in normally your blood pressure range ???
what is your age??
If Natrum Mur. is not the constitutional remedy .....in such a case if taken in high potency
and repeated often...can induce high BP.

Thank you Pankaj for your interest in the case. I am female, 45. Blood pressure range is normal usually (120/80 to 133/85). I believe the reason my homeopath gave me Nat. Mur. is because I went through quite severe child abuse (6 month old till 13 y.o.). Symptoms: very sore legs, meaning skin on legs is sensitive to small hits even; headaches during periods which are better by laying and not moving, and holding the painful area with pressure;cannot have a PAP smear test...suffer from vaginismus and get hysterical;easily emotional with criticism (crying and internal anger);heat makes me sluggish, more alive in winter;impatient; when something bugs me, I get angry and want to hit something bad; tongue surface flares sometimes on the edges of tongue...feels like I burned myself but it is numb;suffered lots of betrayals and offenses as a child. My homeopath wanted to start with the lowest dosage as I am very sensitive to changes, and thought that I would remember more of the abuse if remedy taken. Thanks!

John, you are asking about abuse and I am reluctant to go there...but I will share what I know.
From 6 month old to 2 y.o., a friend of family who was helping my mom with too many kids already, put his fingers where they did not belong;I think because of that, I was followed by psychiatrists at 3 years old, and thought me mentally retarded because I was not talking and hiding in closets;
At 4 years old, Grandpa raped me (I think it is more than once, but I do not remember, however I have dreams about the subject.)
Got beaten and raped (with objects) by my sister through the years...I think she is mentally sick.She loves to stalk and she is smart, was hysterical every day until she left the family house...my father would give her the belt every day almost, to try to make her stop screaming;
At 13 y.o. she lured me into the barn where I was raped by 4 teenagers while she was watching (talk about betrayal..). That is what I remember.
I have many memory blanks still needing to be filled!

I have been doing much therapy for 10 years now because of the repressed anger. So, I am well supported.

i have no concern whether staphysagria interferes or not...staphysagria is the remedy to start treatment---but you decide --if homoeopath you see is giving the results you seek --then forget everything i said---if not then staph 200c..

What I would like to do is get a book about homeopathy, so I can familiarise myself with the different aspects of diagnosis, especially.Would you recommend a book particularly? I will not take Staph. until I read more about Staph and Nat. Mur. I get some info on the internet but not much...unless you have a preferred site that I can look into.What say you?

all books which simplify remedies for beginers to understand are useless in real practise---and very much misleading --especially any book which personality-izes a remedy...fairy tale stuff...

I guess I am frustrated with my homeopath (I would love to scream at her) because all she says is... don't worry, the remedy is working.
I am a person who needs info in order to be patient, and I need to understand the reason for her choice.
John,I want to take the time before I take any remedy as I can attest of their actions! I just do not know about interaction and effects while taking 2 remedies.
I have had good effects from Nat. Mur.: less headaches during periods (though, at first, it was worse); my libido has increased also in a nice way...gradually.
