I found some 'Origanum vulgare Origin- Turkey' - is that Arabic oregano?

Rick12341 last decade
Oregano is sold in regular grocery stores like Randalls, Kroger etc. There should be some ethnic Arabic stores which sell Oregano. Check one in your local area. I am not sure if, ''Origanum vulgare Origin- Turkey' - is that Arabic oregano?' is considered the Arabic Oregano, you can ask the store people and try it. It is fairly inexpensive.

Hi Murthy,

Things are better. The burning and redness seem to come and go now instead of being there all the time. Also, the overall intensity of the burning is less, however when it does flare up its still pretty unpleasent. The 'flare up' areas seem to be conisisent, on the scrotum up close to where it joins the body. It also seems to be somewhat centralized around the area with hair.

Thanks,

Rick

Rick-

I'm suffering from a similar issue, and it sounds like you have resolved yours. Did your GP give you a prescription or did you just use the Rhus Tox and Petroleum to remedy this?

Please let me know when you get a chance.

Thanks,
Nicholas

You need to take into account 2 things :

1. Rhus Tox always acts well in higher potencies ...i.e. minimum 200C (and not in lower potency like 30C)

2. Petro 6c is a low potency again...you need to go to a higher potency like 200c or 1M in your case since the condition of the disease is severe.

Choice of the medicines seems to be right.

I would request you all to take into account these suggestions.

Rhus Tox 12x does not seem to be working for me at all. Petro 12x worked well to supress the itching, but the itching started once I finished w/ the Petro capsules. I will try Petro 1m in capsule form. I also noticed that I became tired and drowsy when i took petro the first time. Is it okay to retake it w/ a higher potency? Please let me know, so I can make the purchase. Thanks for your time.

Hi Nicholas...

The medicines here seemed to help. No doubt, but they didnt get rid of my problem. Is your 'story' similar to mine from a symptom standpoint?

I have been to 3 GPs and 6 Derms. All they would do is antifungal and or steroids... Steroid use for a while can cause a serious skin sondition called erythemia - red skin and more irritation. be careful what you do.

I finally found a derm that didnt think it was in my head... he said I had something called Lichen simplex chronicus do a search, there are websites with photos... You HAVE TO STOP SCRATCHING, if you have to itch, press on the skin lightly, dont scratch. He gave me a mild steroid to use but said its more important to stop messing with your skin, its a form of neurodermatitis. I opted to not use the steroid but just focused on leaving it alone. There is also a product called aquaphor that you can use to moisturize the skin and and keep it from sticking... its used by atheletes a lot where they have skin itrritation from skin rubbing, which can turn into one of the many forms of Lichen simplex. Its not contagious, do some research.

I also went to a Chinese herbalist and she says I have too much heat in my blood, hence the eczema. She gave me herbs to take for 3 weeks. I just finished week 1 and all is headed in the right direction. STOP FUSSING WITH IT, I know its hard and its uncomfortable, but it will get better... it can take up to 6 months to go away. hang in there and keep us posted on your situation, it helps to talk about it, I hav ebeen dealing with it since August!

Rick-

I've been suffering w/ this for 4.5 years. I have the same symptoms as you, and have been to derms, urologists, internal medicine problems and they all say that it's from 'Friction.' I have tried antifungals, steroid creams, antibiotic ointments and nothing worked. I took some Petroleum, and it SIGNIFICANTLY reduced the intensity of the itching. I continue to feel some improvement too. I tried Rhus Tox, and it didn't really improve any residual itching after the Petroleum. I am trying another homeopathic option, MEdorrhinum. I am waiting for a month to see if I get any kind of improvement. If the Medorrhinum doesn't work, I will probably try some more Petroleum, with a little stronger potency. Since this has been most affective. 4.5 yrs is too long to live w/ this nuisance, it's TORTURE.

Rick-

The homeopathic suggestion haven't worked. I don't know what else to do, other than putting petroleum jelly on the area to reduce friction. Do you have any other input? The area gets itchy from the skin rubbing together when I walk, so I don't think I can avoid the rubbing together.

Please let me know if you have any other suggestions

Rick: Is there some woozing? Is there any smell? When is the itching better/ worse? Do you scratch? Is it better with hot/ cold compress?

Can you document some of your mental symptoms since the onset of this infection? Have you been doing anything different since then? Is there something uniques about you oflate?

Gavini: Treatment should have started with Nux Vom 6C as this is a case of allopathic drug abuse and Nux is well indicated for certaini skin conditions as well. My 2 cents...

Rick and Nicholas,

If the burning and scratching on the scrotum subsides by washing the area with hot water or by drying the area with a hair dryer.....then switch to taking homeo med called:

Arsenic Alb. 200c.

Just three doses...morning , evening and next morning. then stop.

Review the situation and post feed back after that.

I have similar symptoms. red burning sensation in the center or middle of my scrotum. The symptoms seem to flare up at times and become worse. Hot, sweaty, scrotum, thighs and legs that ache. When not in a flare up the pain is lessened but still there all the time. There is also patchy red like areas near the top of the shaft of my penis but the pain there not that bad. I have noticed a bump in the middle of the red area on my scrotum as well as a skin colored bump on my penis where the redness is. 4 yrs now with this and doctors don't know what to do. Please help. Tell me someone has found a way to stop this.

I have a story much like you Rick. I had this fungus so bad, I lost 3 months of work, all the while taking Diflucan and steriod/fungus cream from the doc. It got better but never went away.

I hate to say I've learned to live with it, but .... when I get rid of it, it always comes back.

Here is what I do. I always use a dandruff shampoo to wash with (Selsin) and that keeps the fungus on my face from coming back.

When I dry off, I use a blow dryer to make sure I am completly dry, then use the cold setting or a fan to cool me off to make sure I don't sweat.

I then put on a fungus cream (I rotate them..I've tried them all) on .. let it dry into my skin, then I put on hydrocortizone. let that dry in ... then use the spray fungus powder. This keeps me under control.

I do have to say the Hydrocortizone has made my skin red between my cheeks (I have had fungus there too) and my ball are still red, but they don't itch.

When they do itch, I use Vagasil or something with Benzocane in it. Works great!

I do all this twice a day... usually when I get up, and before bed.

I have also started another thing. I sit on the side of the bathtub ... wash my ball with the dandruff shampoo ... and use hot water to rinse as hot as I can take it. I use a hose to only wet my balls. I know fungus can't live above a certain amount of heat ... and this was the change for me. I did it for a week, and found I could take quite a bit of heat.

The doctors have not helped much .... and I wish I could just get rid of it completely. It certainly has put a damper on my sex live.

Where can I get the Petrolemum stuff????

Thanks,

larry marty

I AM MUCH BETTER NOW.
This is what happened - I started having this problem terrible - red burning itchy scrotum - about 10 years ago after working at my mother's home in dark, dank cellar and not being able to shower/clean up good enough.
But just saw PA with dermatologist who used to work for years at a urologist office ...said she had seen hundreds and hundreds of cases just like mine. Her explanation is it's a fungus and once you have any fungus in your body, even atheletes foot, this can come back to haunt you at times. But having said that, she ordered Desonide 0.05% by Taro and within 2 days was all but gone. When completely gone, use Zeasorb-AF powder to keep area in check.
The cream was a script, but the powder is not. Powder to be used ONLY when cleared up.
Summer of course is worse, as it can get sweaty and warm there and that's exactly what fungus likes. Keep it dry and cool and clean - can put cool pack down there to help while med is doing it's thing.
I am a private patient and have no connection to the meds mentioned above and profit in no way - other than helping you hopefully.
Good Luck everyone - this is a very miserable condtion to have.

Red scrotum/rawness. This rash appeared in August of 08, it is still occurring to this day on and off in severity. The rash has always kept the same pattern around my groin, on bad occasions spreading to some of my thigh and lower shaft, but always leaving the same spots alone. I've been to doctors and dermatologists, the original doctor I went to said it was yeast. I surf, so he said it was from keep on a wet bathing suit. He gave me CLOTRIMAZOLE & BETAMETHASONE DIPROPIONATE CREAM 1%. That kept my rash red, the entire scrotum in fact..I went to my Primary care and he gave me HYDROCORTISONE CREAM 2.5% saying the yeast was probably gone, now your skin is inflamed.

That worked temporarily, it flared back up again with a fury. I went to a dermatologist, he did a swab and a biopsy, and gave me a CORTIZONE OINTMENT WITH ALOE, along with MENOCYCLINE PILLS thinking perhaps it was bacteria. The biopsy and swab found no yeast, and he deemed it some form of contact dermititus. It continued to flare..to make this email short for you. I have tired VUSION(.25% miconazole nitrate/15%zinc oxide/81.35%white petrolatum) TRIPLE PASTE, LAMISIL, EDLIDEL 1%, GOLD BOND EXTRA STRENGTH AND NORMAL, PROTOPIC, DIFLUCAN PILL, which worked for a while but the rash came back, DOCTOR BURTS HERBAL DEFENSE OINTMENT(has vit A, E, and ZINC OXIDE in it) I've tried JOJOBA OIL, wearing tight fitting under wear so skin won't touch skin. I Currently eat coconut oil, drink watered down Apple Cider Vinegar, and also gently swab that on the skin. I'm also trying on different spots SILVA SOLUTION PRO 50(a colloidal silver dropper). I eat well, have good hygiene. I have also tried doing nothing to it

The rash itches sometimes, and other times it burns. Sometimes I feel yeast comes and goes cause the skin is tacky, sometimes it is dry, it takes on so many different forms Sometimes its just one big raw rash, and sometimes it little raw dots. Always red in that same pattern, leaving the same parts of the skin alone. My only known allergies is penicillin and I don't take that or a derivative of, ever. I cannot tell what makes the rash inflame or calm down, there is seemingly no rhyme reason. What the hell is this, how do I get rid of it!?

Hi all I hope people still pay attention to this forrum.anyways here's my background with this damn itch. When i was 20 the house i lived in used to get spring melt water in the basement which happend to be where my room was, this is when i developed this itch.So after going to my family dr it turns out i have this fungal itch. It's almost word for word exactly likeother peoples synptoms posted here.So my dr prescibes cortizone cream which would work and clear it up for awhile but would always come back.Them we tried lamsil cream which I would not advise it's like someone held a lighter to my balls then sandpapered them.He prescibed me some pills that i cant remember although i think they were a tablet form of lamsil,i could be wrong tho.Anyhow they did not work.Ive been to one dermatoligist to no use, just the usual use perfume free toiletries loose natural fibre undies and all that, still no help.I've tried every goofy creams ranging from drug store stock to health store all natural creams, colloidal silver garlic puree on the nuts, vitamin e,gold bond, corn starch, hair dryer instead of towel,Hell even listerine which although may sound odd does kinda relieve the burning tho it stings at first and numerous other things. So lets jump ahead 16 years thats right 16 miserable years and when i say miserable I mean so bad i've contemplated not wanting to live if it's gotta be like this but thats just silly right? So last summer 2009 I decide to go to a naturalpath which ive never tried before. He does some acupuncture and determins that I have bad blood circulation and this could be a result of me possible being intolerrent to nightshade vegtables as well as dairy and caffine. So this got me thinking about the things I ate back when I developed this problem.Heres the list:Spicy pizza, taco bell, and I worked as a cook at the olive garden back then so plenty of spicey food in my diet. Now in case you are unaware of what nightshade vegetables are heres a few:White potatoes(not yams or sweet potatoes they are morning glory)tomatoes, eggplant, any kind of peppers(not black pepper tho its a berry)so everything i love to eat is anightshade vegetable. So now my radar is up and I realized my favorite foods lately are indian food, ethiopian, and mexican all spicey foods.I stopped eating anything with potatoes, peppers, eggplant, and tomatoes for two weeks which leaves you with a small group of things you can eat.In 14 days my itch was gone so to test my theory Iate some ethiopian food and man do i regret that day.The itch was back with a vengence.Anyhow if you guys are at the end of your rope and willing to try anything try this cuz this is the best i've felt in years. You will pretty much have to make all your food from scratch as alot of foods will have a ingiedient called spice which will most definatly have bad pepers in them as well as msg which i feel flames me up as well. And by the way all these doctor prescribed creams are probly thining your skin so I would limit your use of them to emergency relief.Email if you want and if you need some nightshade free recipies i know some good ones as me and my wife have lots of cooking experience.Look up nightshades as well you may find that if you suffer from depression, arthritis and many other things you may have a intolerence to these vegetablesGood luck.

I posted back in 09(rednutz) after being inflicted with some sort of awful ball rash for over a year. I am so skeptical of internet 'cures' or people on the internet selling creams, especially if these creams weren't sold in the usa. I had tried everything, this rash wouldn't go away, so I had nothing to lose but try one of these internet creams. David Hoskings, I owe this man my life. He is some sort of pharmacist in Australia and makes creams for different types of skin ailments. I emailed pics of my rashed balls, and gave him a detailed description of what I had taken for it, how it reacted when it flared up, the whole 9. He got back to me and said to try his Psorexederm cream, give it two weeks he said. I read up on his cream on his site..his site looking kinda dodgy so I was unsure. I ordered it anyway, whats 70 bucks if it'll cure me. I got the cream, it was messy and uncomfortable. I pit it on during the day when I could, and put it on heavily at night. I kid you not, the stuff WORKED! After 2 weeks there was much improvement. I then used it on and off for about a month. GONE, I am normal again after over a year of hell. You have nothing to lose, try this cream I swear to you it gave me my life back.

Hi,

I had this scrotum fungal infection over last 2 years until recently I found a cure after a lot of searching.
1. Ordered Tea Tree Oil + Clove Bud Oil + Cinnamon Oil from an online store (e b a y india or US any such)
2. Mixed 4 parts of PURE coconut oil to the above oils, and apply it gently on the scrotum every morning and night after bath.
3. Repeated the treatment in point-2 for 2 months and cut off sugar, yeast products, smoking, alchohol and other acidifying products from my diet.
4. Took 4 cloves of garlic IN BETWEEN MEALS/BREAKFAST, so a total of 12 cloves per day for 2 months.
5. Recently I have noticed that 95% of the infection got cured. And I had gone another step, I had started applying garlic juice directly over the scrotum skin. This had made me jump all over my room as it burns like hell for the first 3 minutes. So you may want to mix the garlic juice with a little coconut oil before applying it ont he scrotum skin (never apply on the penis head, I am sure you would go mad). For some people the condition may worsen if their skin is too sensitive for a direct garlic paste. Applied this morning and night after bath. Ensure that you do not smell garlic the whole day.
6. Within 3-4 days, I have found dead skin peeling off my scrotum.

Finally I got convinced that I am getting cured, and I thought of passing this to everyone on this planet, as I do not want someone else suffer form this fuc**in fungus. I have also added Neem tablets and some blood purifying herbs to my diet so that I wont again get it again. Maybe I will have to take these supplements for another 6-8 months.

*Neem tablets may turn as a temporary contraceptive so if you are planning for any kids think again.

Get Well Soon,

Thanks,
VKP
