Chronic Throat Inflamation-Help
Hi,My Mother, 64 yrs old, has chronic sore throat/inflamation with constant pain and swelling. She is also alergic to alopathic drugs sppecial asprin/paracetamol group causing her dry cough. She coughs too much during sleep at night and complains that she feels extreme dryness in throat which causes coughing. Some time this cough ends with vomiting with red face.
The throat pain and tickling is mostly in the central part(tip of pharynx ) and some times extends to both sides upto ears. I have consulted with ENT specialist twice ....and she was diagnosed having Pharyngitis ...treated but relieved for shorter period.
Following homepathic remedies were used as well:
Beladona 30, 200
Bryta carb 30
Ant Tart 30, 200
Merc Sol 30
Kali Carb 30
Only Bella 200/Merc sol was little help but the symptoms got worse again....Please prescribe suitable remedy.
She has good sleep, high BP of first stage, normal appetite and thrist.

Please try Kali Mur-30 and Ferrum Phos-30 (repeat the doses after 3 hours)
and report after a week.

I have started given her the remedies you mentioned but after two days no improvement....she complains that quantity of urine is reduced significantly.

please do not be hopless and continue this process for another 2/3 days since it is a chronic case it will take some time. These both remedies have cured several patient during my practice.

Dear Drs.
No i am not hopeless. She said she feel little improvements in throat swelling as well as pain that was radiated towards ears and jaws. Only feel lump on right side.....
The new developments is problems in Urination. Less amount with server burning and itching.
Should i continue with Fer. Phos/Kali Mur? or also add Apis ...Please reply

do not give so many remedies constantly
I have a feeling you might have already overdosed her with so many remedies.
Just give her one remedy which cover her picture in totality.
Playing around with palliatives and not finding a Similimum for Cure is not the answer.

You are right...she has been using remedies since long ...She had no choice as she is allergic to alopathic drugs....gives rise to her dry cough.
She frequently uses Ant Tart cough...it hgives her relief.
Currently she is only using Kali Mur and Fer Phos ...but as i mentioned ...other problems are coming in ...what should i do for her?

Second thing is make sure he is a classical homeopath with enough experience to take a chronic case whose picture is suppressed.
Now, to anti dote her, you must STOP ALL medications.
Also give a detailed description of all the remedies taken and for how long.
Remember to understand the difference between Palliation and Cure.
The remedies you have been using on her are palliatives.
For a Cure to start a Similimum has to be given to her .

In her fifties she reported that she is becoming allergic to smoke and cotton fabrics....which gave her dry cough....this problem were treated through allopathic drugs for temporary relieved. She also had some skin rashes disease, which was suppressed by means of injections.
The allergy problem aggravated by time and she found herself as patient of sore throat and dry cough. this dual problem cause her decline very fast.
Later, High BP (first stage), Osteoarthritis and constipation also came in picture.
Her thirst, appetite and sleep is good, wants to be in open air, likes reading, likes to eat salty food.
Symptoms improve after rest/sleep and eating.
Cough & hoarseness increases (some times end with vomiting)in dusty/smoke/environment. Soft drink/cold water/Orange/aggravates symptoms.
Remedies she have used so far:

The chest pain is felt in lower ribs and on back near neck....Shouls i give her Kali Iod 30c?
