Any changes on the mental front ?

sameervermani last decade
He seem to be better understanding person now. His demands/questions keep coming in, but when we tell what is good for him and what is not with good reasoning, he seem to listen to us. Earlier he would keep demanding or repeating the same thing. This is only change we have observed in him so far.

His chest seem to be still very congested, inhalers do relieve him for a while, but he would get breathless after some physical activity and we can hear him wheezing.

Is there some homeopathic remedy that we can give to relieve him of his symptoms?

Please bear with this , this is just a return of old symptoms, and when it is accompanied by mental improvement, that is always pointing to the correct remedy.

Inhalers will suppress the problem back. Avoid them as much as possible. Avoid physical activity for 4-5 days.

Hi Sameer,

We did bear with his return of his symptoms and had to support him with inhalers on a couple of occasions. We also restricted his physical activity as per your suggestion which really helped. Last time we gave him inhalers was on 12th October. On 13th morning, he was a little wheezy, but we resisted the temptation to give him inhalers and it slowly faded away. He seem to be doing okay now. He does not have wheezing but seem to be congested, and we hear the rattling sound when he coughs or even laughs too.

His psoriasis spots have got a LOT better. The rash on his arm has also got cleared. A faint psoriasis spot is what is left of his rash.

However, he hasn't been doing particularly well today. He is complaining of stomach ache since today. He felt a little warm and just now we checked his temperature, it is 99.1F. I think some kind of infection is in the air, many kids in his school are down with viral infection. So we suspect it could be because of viral infection he might have caught from other kids.

Can we administer him allopathic medicines now if required? Please let us know if you have any thoughts on this.

Thanks,
Navdeep

* He has been complaining of stomach ache since today morning.

I would recommend waiting, as this might be a curative fever.

No need to intervene.

Please continue to wait.

I think we can manage his fever, but at the moment his stomach ache seem to be quite severe. Every once a while he lies down with his knees folded and face facing down, and complains of ache. We haven't seen this before and not sure how to handle this situation :(. We are tempted to take him to ER, but are afraid if it would hamper the progress.

You are over-reacting, its just a stomach ache. Don't let your emotions get to you.

He will be fine.

Thanks for the advice, Sameer. I know I do over-react especially related to health issues. I used to play everything down and suffered for under reacting, and now I have developed tendency to over react. Its hard to get the right balance in life :).

Hi Sameer,

I am sorry for not following up on this for a long time. He got better after his last lycopodium dose - his psoriasis went away completely, his wheezing subsided and didn't have a wheezing attack either.

He caught cold almost a month back, had cough which used to get worse at night. He is doing better on that front, but his chest is still very much congested. He would cough sometimes and throws out a lot of mucus. We were expecting him to develop wheezing as weather these days is somewhat like bangalore but he continues to do well.

However, he is wetting his bed almost on daily basis for almost 2-3 months. We try to wake him up past midnight and take him to rest room - he won't co-operate and start crying only to wet his bed after some time. He also wouldn't take fluids during first half of day, and drink a lot of water in the evenings, which further makes it difficult for him and us too.

On mental front, he is normally happy most of the time. However, he has become demanding and start throwing tantarums to get the things he want. He would cry first and then tell us what he wants.

We do not normally fulfill his every wish so that he learns to accept 'no' as answer too. But he stops co-operating with us after that.Sometimes he would stop co-operating with us if he doesn't like what we want him to do (for example try a new dress). We have to use carrot and stick policy to get him do the things we want.

Even in his class, sometimes his behavior is excellent, sometimes he would not co-operate with his teacher to do even simple things or he would do things badly (for example writing).

Can you please suggest a remedy for controlling his bed wetting?

Thank You,
Navdeep

If we compare the mental state to before Lycopodium, what are the changes ?

sameervermani last decade
Hi Sameer,

His last dose was given long back, so its a little hard one for us - but i'll try to recollect some major changes that we are seeing in his behavior.

One thing I remember for sure is that he started volunteering to take bath after the dose, which he used to avoid earlier. First time we thought it might be because of his favorite new soap. But then it happened more than a few times to be called as a coincidence. Now he is back to his old ways when it comes to bathing.

Secondly, I think he has become greedier. He wont usually share his favorite food or be very miser with it, but now he would gulp the thing down so that he wouldn't have to share that with anyone. He has also become more greedy for toys - want to have a new one every time we go out and he won't take 'no' for an answer as easily as he used to do earlier.

He seem to have become more selective in his food preferences. He would pick out items from the dishes that he don't like e.g. onions/carrots/peas/cumin seeds etc.

He has been holding his mom's plait while going to sleep or when he used to get hurt. Now he wants to hold it almost all the time during the day. If his mom is not around, he would fondle my hair.

Also, we went to Bangalore a few days back. He was having runny nose and cough for almost a month. But he started wheezing two days into the sojourn. We gave him inhaler although his condition wasn't too bad. Once we came back after 3-4 days, and he has been doing pretty well here.

Please let me know if you need further details.

Thanks,
Navdeep

So, clinging to mother and greed are the 2 strongest symptoms coming forth right now ?

sameervermani last decade
Hi Sameer,

I think I conveyed it wrong - he is not exactly clinging to his mom. What I wanted to tell you was more of his increased desire to hold his mom's hair (plait).

He has been holding her plait since he was probably a couple of months old, something like a toy or something soothing to him. It was an instrument for making him fall asleep or soothe him when he was crying. But now he wants to hold her plait almost anytime - even when she is doing some work.

He can stay without his mom - at least for some time. Even when he is at home with his mom, sometimes he plays independently or watches his favorite programs alone. But after sometime he would start searching for her. I mean even if he is alone and playing, he needs assurance that we are around.

Greed part - a resounding yes about his favorite food or toys.

Hello Dr. Sameer,

I am Navdeep's wife. Our son is again having wheezing attack. It started with cold, then little cough from past 4-5 days. He is congested and is having difficulty in breathing. We gave him inhaler only once so that he could have good sleep.

Please suggest some homeopathic remedy that we can give to relieve him of his symptoms?

Thanks,
Ruchika

What are the changes on the mental front ? Please describe in detail.

sameervermani last decade
Hi Sameer,

==> He has become more Independent. He likes to wear clothes of his own choice (usually jeans and shirts with socks and shoes) and on his own. generally likes to do his own job( independent for the work that he enjoys doing).

He doesn't like to eat meals (dal, roti etc.) on his own and we have to push start him, once he starts eating he doesn't create much fuss.

==> He has become less shy. He mixes up well with his peer group members. He wont feel shy or won't hesitate to make new friends and play with them.

He likes to go to his friend's place and play with his friend's toys but when his friend would visit
our home he just can't tolerate him and doesn't want to share his toys at all, not even the ones he has abandoned.

==> He is afraid of insects, spiders in particular. not much from ants mosquitoes and cockroaches.

==> He is very fond of cold food items (ice cream). He has cravings for cold milk, sometimes opens the fridge and drinks the milk without adding any flavors or sugar at all.

==> He imitates his favorite cartoon character(Ben 10). Sometimes he is aggressive when he imitates these characters and would either hit or push.

==> He is active and energetic throughout the day. His energy levels are high even if he doesn't take his afternoon nap. He doesn't want to sit idle.

==> In his classroom, he is little naughty. He used to finish his work very fast earlier and has become relatively slow now. He sometimes talk continuously and sometimes senseless too.

These are the changes we've been observing in him. Please let me know if you want any other information on him.

Thanks a lot,
Ruchika

Just noticed that his wheezing is accompanied with mild fever (99F).

navdeep77 last decade
Give him a dose of PUlS LM2, dissolve 4 drops from 30 ml bottle in 250 ml spring water, and 1 spoon from there.

Report in 2 days.

sameervermani last decade
We have only PULS LM1 available with us. Can we give him the same? Otherwise we have to order it and wait for couple of more days...please suggest.
