Alongside the selected remedy, I also run a course of Ferrum phos 12x and this I have found to be helpful in reducing the duration of cure.

Thank you for the information on the H1N1 Swine Flu virus.
I note that Dr K stated:

From this etiology I believe that we have all suffered the Swine Flu during the past 4-6 weeks as I too was a victim to an infection that started with my throat and later migrated to the nose.
I used my default remedy for my sore throat as soon as I found that I found that my throat was uneasy with some phlegm formation which I promptly treated with Bryonia 200 in the Wet dose which I as usual, Gargled and swallowed every 2-3 hours. This ABORTED the sore throat but in about 24 hours I discovered that my nose was burning with coryza and sneezing. I used Ferr Phos 6x dose 4 tablets every 2 hours and ABORTED my oncoming cold.
There is right now many cases of Swine flu being reported in the daily press and the doctors in the government hospitals have recently rejected the Flu shot that the government imported at a very high cost as it was outdated. I have also had some reports of serious after effects in those who were vaccinated as they developed other symptoms including vomiting and diarrhoea and high fever.
I note that Dr K seems to be making some money from his discovery:
'Therefore, we advise our student-doctors and patients not to experiment with other potencies. In case you do not get this remedy Mercurius sol-10,000x from your local
homoeo store, you may send me money order or bank draft for Rs.150=00 (overseas: US$ or
Euro 10=00) (no online transfer etc. please) to

His reference to the 10000x potency seems somewhat suspicious to me as it cloaks the remedy in some mystery. He is a government doctor and I would not have expected one to capitalize on his 'discovery' which I presume is as good as mine, Bry 200 and Ferr Phos as I and many members of our family and a number of my staff have successfully overcome this present outbreak of Flu which I believe is caused by the H1N1 virus.
